I just realized MMBN was the first Deckbuilder I played and now I'm pogged out of my childhood. I'm actually kind of angry that this video came out now because I'm so hyped to play it but it's still over a week away. Damn you Ennelle. But also bless you for bringing this to my attention.
Now THIS is a good game. I tried the demo after your tweet the other day and was pogged outta my mind. MMBN was such an underrated series and making a rougelite out of it was a smart idea. Nice find egg.
That ice boss has some of the coolest moves I've ever seen. All very complex and varied, yet telegraphed. Especially where she throws the shards on your side, then teleports to them to do an AoE. Very creative!
NL please please PLEASE make this into a series! It's been a blast watching you play this and playing this myself. Would really enjoy getting to see more.

It's funny how I see now why I love deck builders and rouguelikes. First I got involved in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon then MMBN happened and I loved the mechanics/series. Thanks to you NL playing all these rougelikes nowadays pull up that it was never a new genre to me but something I've been familiar with since childhood.

I tried the demo because of this video, and wow, so much fun! Definitely a day 1 buy on the switch for me, will be a nice HIGH OCTANE break from the chill animal crossing life I'll be living from now on.

Yoo I played through like five of the megaman battle network games on gba, they were so good but probably easy as an adult. I certainly don't remember them being this fast.. And also I realize those were the first deckbuilders I've ever played, neat. Super underrated series, I recommend people try em out. Not just for the battles, but the charming worlds and interactions as well :)

Mega Man Battle Network is *so* good and if it weren't for the first game having really obtuse progression I'd recommend them as Sunday games once the inevitable Battle Network Legacy Collection releases.

It depends on the battle (looking at you, Bass) but the random encounters definitely weren't this tough.
