“I like it better when he was ruining his voice” that’s what you are saying...yes everyone sounds better when they scream wrong but then it drastically decreases the vocal longevity of the singer to where they can’t sing clean....it happened to Danny in Asking that’s why he took a break from screaming, his voice was trashed...Matt from Trivium stopped just in time like Andy and learned how to scream correctly so it sounds different but I’d rather have Andy around longer than fan pressure him to ruin is voice shortening the life of the band and his health........he recorded an whole album with a blood infection already we as fans don’t deserve to nitpick

@@BVBGirl-3313 No. They (the audio engineer) just mastered it so the screams are a lower volume here. Its an artistic choice, has nothing to do with Andy finding the correct vocal method to scream without hurting himself like a ton of other screamers do lol. Haven't listened to BVB since Their second album but im pretty sure they don't scream anymore/dont' like to so I genuinely believe they just want to keep the volume of it down to pushing into a background element not a foreground one like the original.

They are layered sooo much too. Makes it seem like he might be doing some slight crackling sound into the mic and just layering it 10x or more to make it sound like a real scream

Andy said himself that they aren't trying to get rid of or replace the original. This is meant to show how their sound has matured over 5 + albums
I remember when I first discovered BVB, around 10 years ago. in the comment section of their videos people kept saying how this band meant the world to them and even saved their lives and I just couldn't comprehend how a band could mean that much to anyone. fast forward 9-10 years and I cried when I heard that they would re-record these old songs. I can't say they saved my life because they didn't, but they were, at some point, the only thing that gave me happiness in my absolute darkest times. them being re-recorded, especially with Andy's message about him having found himself in all these years and these songs being his beginning, despite him being completely lost at the time, just resonated with me to a whole new level. it feels like my favorite band, the one that was by my side at my worst points in life, grew up on par with me. it's just so incredible and I fucking love it.

Because it can overwhelm the mix. It is possible to boost it, but I can understand the headache in that. The mixing in this is so damn satisfying and clear.

Andy's vocals have definitely changed but they are now much...cleaner I guess is the better word. He still has a raspiness to his voice but it's clearer and smoother than the original album.
The rhythm section have also evolved. I know that there have been new members but they all together have became a better band. For instance the guitar solo is definitely better than the original. The bass is also more prominent in this version than the og. The drums are better played and have a better beat to them. In the og, I thought that the drums were a little dull but this, there are different drums being played. This just shows that now matter how old you are and no matter how many years you've been playing an instrument, you keep on progressing and getting better.
Again, I love this and Sweet Blashemy. I'm more than excited for the whole album to drop🖤🖤🖤
Tbh I think it's the production mix. Vocals seem turned down across cleans and screams. Otherwise Andy sounds about the same.

@@deadviny he did but even after you stop smoking, your voice can become raspy oe it can deepen due to permanent lung damage.
But, I think he has a raspy voice because its just how low his voice is. He's somewhere in between a tenor or a baritone vocal range (I'm think more tenor though).
I have been listening to the band for more than 10 years and I will never tire of doing it, it is incredible everything they have achieved in this trajectory and it is a pride to be present in everything they bring out and now to see them come back to perfect weapon brings me a great nostalgia, I saw when they just released the song in 2011

I had this exact same issue. If you’re going to re-record songs due to bad production originally, make sure the new production doesn’t have similar errors.

I grew out of BVB many years ago as a teen, but these remastered songs have gotten me back into it. These remasters/rerecordings are fantastic and gives so so much more depth to the songs. Unironically love Re-Stitch These Wounds
The differences between the first release and this release is incredible!!!! I love both versions so much.

Definitely so much progression. The instrumentals kick ass!! His clean vocals have also improved tremendously- the screaming seems really off though

I love this. I know a lot of people are critical of all the rerecordings but I love them all. The originals and current ones. They all show how far the band has come. Personally, I love whatever they make no matter what it is. 😊

This sounds really amazing. I love how it's a perfect example of what a Perfect Weapon 2.0 would sound like. It keeps the same structure and main idea but ups the game to the next level on almost all instruments. I still feel like the screams are very low, even tho i enjoy that new "background" vibe they give. But other than that, this shows a lot of maturity across all band members.
I have been listening BVB for 10 years and I'm still totally in love with them. When I saw them alive I was crying. They saved my life and I will love them my whole life 🖤🖤

Isn't too different from the original like "The Drug In Me Is Reimagined", but i really love the clean vocals in this version. "Leave us alone."
But that was done exponentially better than this. Im a huge bvb fan but there's absolutely no comparison to the drug in me is reimagined.
The rerecorded version is so utterly extraordinarily astonishing. Andy's vocals are unbelievable. I absolutely love the new screams! The words are so present in the scream. That seems like QUITE a feat to me. The breakdowns are breathtaking. You guys did beyond a earth shattering, fantastic job! Such a great companion piece. I'm so beyond elated for the rest of the RSTW album. Im so glad its not an exact copy of the original because that would be boring ;)
