Wireless 7 is a huge plus as it enables wireless streaming from PC at a pretty good bitrate. If it had OLED screens I would definitely buy one. Not much point to having better machinery driving crappy cheap screens though. I'll stick with my original Quest for standalone and I have my Bigscreen Beyond for PC gaming.

Not taking sides, but here's a clearer conparison regarding the points shared in this video: 1. P4U have AI generated virtual environment (but only limited to 3 free ones). Q3 multiple choices of virtual environment, in addition to that, there're also vast amount of virtual environment created by community that can be added via sidequest, such as Rick's (from Rick and Morty) garage, Star Wars locations, City 17 Alley (from Half Life Alyx), Konoha (from Naruto), etc. 2. Hardware is just on paper specs, I agree, certain aspect is without doubt better, such as having 45w fast charging, but others, such as having Wifi 7 and more RAM, I doubt it makes any noticeable difference to general consumer. 3. Multi-window, 20 multi-window sounds great, but need to elaborate, what window is supported? In the video we mainly see 1x browser, 1x tiktok app (android app), 1x android app (chinese video streaming app), 1x Pico app store, etc. Does it support multi-window browser? Does it support non-chinese video streaming app such as Netflix, TH-cam, etc? Because that's what Q3 excels (example: I have 1x window browser running netflix, 1x youtube vr app in window mode, 1x window browser running Google Sheet/Doc to do my work, 1x window browser on Wikipedia finding info that I need), I don't need to switch back and forth between browser tabs, instead I have multiple browser windows. 20 multi-windows but mainly for Android apps and only 1 window for each app, is not that useful tbh. 4. Installing apk is much easier on Pico platform, this I agree. Doesn't mean Quest can't do it, just involve extra steps. This point is in favor of Pico if you are a user who constantly need to sideload apk. Though, I don't think the general consumer would be constantly wanting to sideload apk 😅 5. Ability to capture spatial video, another point I agree, tbh Q3 also can but not natively, need to go through developer settings. Though, I don't think Spatial Video is a thing yet, ask those that own the latest iphone, how many of them actually record spatial video? Not many tbh, maybe in the future, I'm not sure. 6. Full body tracking via the tracker, out of all the points mentioned, this is the point I strongly agree on which in reality and from a general consumer pov, is a strong win for P4U, especially for the VRChat community. 7. Ability to bring up 2D floating window in VR game, this is nothing new, Q3 also able to do this.
Thanks for your comment! ❤ 1. I have not try it in Sidequet. I will check it later to see if the UGC virtual environments have better effects 3. PICO support multi-window Browser and PC Streaming. You need open the new window in Browser App (maximum is 5). You can also install webapp via browser for more than 5 windows PS. they have TH-cam App in PICO Store.
I wish they did something about the terrible face interface that leaves a sharp mark on your face just after an hour of usage. I think it's designed only for Chineese peoples face. Also my Pico 4 has lots of glares which really annoys me. For a period of time I thought it was normal because of the pancake lenses but later I got my quest 3 and realized it wasn't true. Quest 3 has the pancake lenses and there is almost no glares. My pico 4 probably is a faulty one which makes me nervous about getting the new Pico if it ever arrives in my country.
What is this glare thing ? I heard about it often. Is light coming int the VR from the sides or is it a problem with these pancake lenses ? The Pico Neo 3 Link has other lenses and i have no problems with a bad picture impression. So can someone explain the "glare" problem ?
It's some kind of reflection of bright objects displayed in your vision. For example, on the pico home screen you see the controllers you are holding which are bright white. But you also see some blur reflection of the controllers on upper part of your vision which distracts you and prevents having a clear sight. As far as I know, it caused by the light reflecting between the layers of pancake lenses which could be eliminated using some kind of coating on the lens surfaces. I don't think pico neo link has pancake lenses, so it's normal you don't have glares.
@@mray3308 YES the Pico Neo 3 Link has these bigger lenses with grooves and is fine with no glare. I also heard that the Pico 3 series was made from other company and is a bit different in tec work. Not sure if this info is right ? Maybe the earlier Pico units are made a bit better and for Pro users ?
TBH, I don't say Pico is bad, but the one and only reason that stops me from considering Pico is because of the games... The Pico game library is way too small compared to Meta. I looked for "Green Hell" and it's outdated in Pico, I looked for "Medieval Dynasty" and it's not even in Pico.
PICO is investing in self-developed games. For example, Tempoclub is an exclusive one. I hope that there will be more VR games in the future. However, PICO basically has all the top games that Meta has, and the game price is cheaper in PICOstore. I'm not sure how the prices compare to Meta in other countries. If anyone knows, please tell me!
I've got a PSVR2 and I don't think I could switch to Quest for games. Bigger library and pancake lenses, sure, but terrible visuals and no immersive hardware features. I might consider a Pico 4U for the better battery, pass-through, and interoperability with apple products.
@@4theluvofmusic I have no clue about the PSVR2 as i am new to VR and i like it a lot AND i like that the Pico unit is good to wear and well balanced and Chinese hightec is not bad, it is in some cases better then the mainstrem units.

The most important thing is this: the software updates are long ago ready and they still have not released them for the standard pico4.

5 Reasons why Quest 3 is better than Pico 4 Ultra: 1.) Handtracking 2.) Software in Store 3.) Software-Sytem Support/Upgrades 4.) USB-OTG Support 5.) Data privacy! I recommend the Quest 3🙂👍
1.) How do you know the hand tracking is bad? Have you tried the new OS? 2.) There is actually more content in the PICO store, unfortunately it's lacking some exclusives. 3.) What's wrong with PICO'S software support? 4.) PICO has USB-OTG too. 5.) Data privacy on a meta headset? 😂😂
Ni Hao Ma , How much of a noticeable difference can you observe in the rendering resolution between the PICO 4 ( Old version of the PICO 4 ) and the Newer version the PICO 4 ULTRA ? How much of a noticable difference in the rendering resolution between the PICO 4 ULTRA and the Quest 3 ? Those critics of the price of the PICO 4 ULTRA mostly likely are Mark Zuckerberg bots fans of the poorly designed trashcan dweller the Quest 3. The price of the trashcan dweller base model Quest 3 is $ 499 with only 8 GB's of RAM and 128 GB's of storage. The price of the PICO 4 ULTRA is $ 599 The PICO 4 ULTRA has a higher default rendering resolution and native resolution than the Quest 3. Native display resolution of both the PICO 4/ PICO 4 ULTRA is : 2160 X 2160 and the default rendering resolution of the PICO 4 ULTRA is : 1920 X 1920. Native resolution of the trashcan dweller Quest 3 is : 2064 X 2208 and the default rendering resolution is : 1680 X 1760 The PICO 4 ULTRA has 12 GB's of RAM and 256 GB's of storage. The extra cost of $ 100 USD of the PICO 4 ULTRA over the trashcan dweller Quest 3 is well worth it when you consider the 12 GB's of RAM and the 256 GB's of storage. Mark Zuckerberg's bots fans of the trashcan dweller Quest 3 only are jealous of the PICO 4 ULTRA and want to trash the PICO 4 ULTRA for no good reason. Besides ? The design of the Quest 3 is stupid and a poor design because the battery is placed inside the V.R. headset front visor. The battery is placed up front inside the front visor and creates more heat for the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 GEN 2 chipset and makes the V.R. headset front heavy. The PICO 4 and the PICO 4 ULTRA will always run cooler than the Quest 3 because the battery is designed to be placed in the back of the headset.

Bigscreen Beyond is a great product, lightweight, but both the face mask and pupil distance are custom-made.
No, the chip cannot handle wifi 7 encoding, even if it can connect to it. There is just a limit to decompression.
@@KoRNeRd www.qualcomm.com/products/mobile/snapdragon/xr-vr-ar/snapdragon-xr2-gen-2-platform "With support for the latest Qualcomm FastConnect, users will experience lag-free and shared XR experience with ultra-fast Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and 5.2 wireless connectivity for 60% higher throughput2 and 80% lower latency2."
I'm still gonna hold out for the Pico 5 Max Pro! I'm keeping hope alive! 🤞😁
Really? Is there any exclusive news?
looks awesome, i think i will get one🤤
Wait charger NOT included? Why?! But can I use any type C phone charger on it?
I guess it is the cost considering. you can use your own type C charger
@@melodyyin I would say the 45W charger MUST be on board
@@TriangelProduction It's not in my package. I hope you will have one.
@@melodyyin I believe Pico will NOT include a 45W charger for the EU release as you said: cost Pico a bit more and less profit.
Not taking sides, but here's a clearer conparison regarding the points shared in this video:
Though, I don't think the general consumer would be constantly wanting to sideload apk 😅
1. I have not try it in Sidequet. I will check it later to see if the UGC virtual environments have better effects
3. PICO support multi-window Browser and PC Streaming. You need open the new window in Browser App (maximum is 5). You can also install webapp via browser for more than 5 windows
PS. they have TH-cam App in PICO Store.
@@melodyyin unfortunately the TH-cam app on Pico not support window mode yet
😶🌫Then I guess WebApp or the Android App is the better choice
this is the hardest decision i have to make.. quest 3 or this headset, both available for the same price
amazing, perfect
Thank you ❤
Is the colors better? Then the pico 4
May I ask how to compare the colors? Is recording a screenshot enough? I can only tell that the clarity has been improved.
@@melodyyin thats okay, Thank you for answering my question.
Not mad about paying $600 but we all know is gonna be expensive in America
It's gonna be 599 euro's in the EU, with free motion trackers if you pre-order, and 4 games.
900 to Mexico 💀 @@SuperDre74
I just want a great 2024 generation PCVR headset. And am concerned about the price.
Why still 90hz 😭
Quest3 win in this point 🤣
It could be 6 reasons if pico 4 had a native display port
Many games do not become updates on Pico store like Contractors vr you should do something about that and not just making new hardware.
global release when?
Early September
Nice Markenting Pico ❤
it does look good and competitive but there won't be batman in it
I wish they did something about the terrible face interface that leaves a sharp mark on your face just after an hour of usage.
ATKKTA
Great video
Where I can get one 😢
It is said that reservations will start on September 2nd.Would you buy one?
I want to buy one and can’t wait for the EU release 😢
@@cia4gent128 Good Choice
Resolution and lenses are worse than Quest 3 I think.
The game library is large enough for any gamer!!!
Don't quote fairytales from Meta fanboys!
@@melodyyin I also think the most good games are in Pico store !
And payment works flawless and downloading works also well ⭐
I've got a PSVR2 and I don't think I could switch to Quest for games.
Great video, but there is one big mistake: you don't need adb or dev mode to sideload APKs onto Quest... you can use the Mobile VR Station method on a totally non-dev Quest.
No display port, no buy
I would never buy pico headset, beacuse I think ByteDance is propably collecting data
I will choose the PICO 4. Because I hate Zuckerberg.
pico is crap in software, notice how all the os features can work on the regular pico4, but they don't support it. It is disgraceful.
Trust me, the PICO 4 Ultra has undergone significant upgrades and changes; the experience will be completely different.
@@melodyyin I don't care about the Ultra, why would anyone in their right mind buy anything from pico when they saw the software in pico 4 vs quest 2 and 3.
The most important thing in the headset are the panels and lenses and they are the same, who would pay double for a passthrough camera, which is hardly used??? The most important thing is this: the software updates are long ago ready and they still have not released them for the standard pico4.
Nah 100$ more for SLIGHTLY better hardware and worse software aint a buy for me
And you're trying to say that you will want to force Pico 4 Ultra to not exist forever simply because you think that you have this dumb reason you came up? Cause it sounds like you are!
$100 for 256gb instead of 128, and an actually good comfortable head strap.
I got the preorder package that comes with the motion trackers with no extra cost 😅😂
@@Shadowclaw1113 Nice
@@elite-forcecinema1788 Bro just because I don't see the value in spending more for less appealing software doesn't mean I'm against it. I'm just being a smart consumer and choosing what works best for me. If you want to pay more for hardware that offers only minor improvements, that's your choice.
Sorry, but the game catalogue in the quests is far more wide, just that alone makes the quest better than any other vr headset
@@danielcastro1111 True
There are only a very few Meta games that are not on the Pico store
But there a also some good Pico games that are not on the Meta ...
No display port no better lenses(oled), how is that crap better than quest 3?, wifi 7? Puff nobody cares about it
And why do you think that nobody cares about it? Is it because you think that Pico 4 sucks simply because you think that it is cancer and that you think that you will need to force Pico 4 to go d*e as a thing, like, right now, FOREVER, or not?
@@elite-forcecinema1788 I have pico 4 dude, pico sucks, there is not comunity, they are just copying meta and apple 🤣🤣🤣 and they are chinese
@@Kelvin-w6sYour comment is very interesting with your profile picture. Do you know the meaning of this Chinese character?😂

5 Reasons why Quest 3 is better than Pico 4 Ultra: 1.) Handtracking 2.) Software in Store 3.) Software-Sytem Support/Upgrades 4.) USB-OTG Support 5.) Data privacy! I recommend the Quest 3🙂👍
@@Dirk2006Neu lol🤣 Good try! I remember PICO also support USB-OTG.
Keep on dreaming and Meta is of course more secure *lol

Ni Hao Ma ,
How much of a noticeable difference can you observe in the rendering resolution between the PICO 4 ( Old version of the PICO 4 ) and the Newer version the PICO 4 ULTRA ?
How much of a noticable difference in the rendering resolution between the PICO 4 ULTRA and the Quest 3 ?
Those critics of the price of the PICO 4 ULTRA mostly likely are Mark Zuckerberg bots fans of the poorly designed trashcan dweller the Quest 3.
The price of the trashcan dweller base model Quest 3 is $ 499 with only 8 GB's of RAM and 128 GB's of storage.
The price of the PICO 4 ULTRA is $ 599
The PICO 4 ULTRA has a higher default rendering resolution and native resolution than the Quest 3.
Native display resolution of both the PICO 4/ PICO 4 ULTRA is : 2160 X 2160
and the default rendering resolution of the PICO 4 ULTRA is : 1920 X 1920.
Native resolution of the trashcan dweller Quest 3 is : 2064 X 2208
and the default rendering resolution is : 1680 X 1760
The PICO 4 ULTRA has 12 GB's of RAM and 256 GB's of storage.
