I'm still very happy with PICO 4 256GB for PC. I used Meta 2 and it had huge problems, bad, blurry visual quality, heavy too - you fell like you are in an old submarine. Sold Meta 2 after 2 weeks of ownership. I use AMVR PICO 4 for face interface and its really comfy, 3 hour PCVR sessions no problem. Also you should mention it has sharpness slider for PCVR - its a game changer. I run basic WIFI 6 router/modem provided by internet supplier, have no stutters or any issues. Also important to run games close to 90 fps, as per 90 refresh rate and experience is magical. That was a great review - by far the best I have seen for pico 4 Ultra. I thought you were a bit harsh on the microphone which really sounded excellent to me 😊
I use the pico 4 without the lens rings and without a facial interface, and without the plastic cover holding the facial interface and proximity sensor. I use a pair of cut down socks (just some of the top part) for light leackage, my nose is sitting between the lenses and eybrows litterally on the lenses. I use only the top strap from ALVR in a custom configuration, I have removed the back cushion. This made the headsaid significantly lighter and less hot/stuffy. My setup allows me to litterally see f the square edges of the lcd screen, thus more of the image is in the lens sweetspot and I get the maximum possible FOV.
Great thing in Pico 4 Ultra is that you can put Pico 4's facial interface if you happen to have one :D EDIT. I have Bobovr strap in my Pico 4 and it's made specifically for Pico 4 and it's called Bobovr P4, you can remove back part with tool that you get with Bobovr P4 and you snap in Bobovr's back part to it, they are working on to make one for Pico 4 Ultra too (old one don't snap in to ultra)

About the removable parts, you can also remove the top strap (i mean, you literally removed it on the video, lmao). It is the exact same as the normal pico 4. I think Pico 4 Ultra is basically the swan song of the company for VR. They were making an excellent Pico 5 with 3 SKU's, but they were cancelled. The P4U basically just seems to take a few things from the P5 that they were working on and slapped them into a P4 unit because they had too many spart parts lying around they couldn't get rid of (since the P4 greatly undersold what they were expecting it to sell). Basically, it's quickly put together to still get some money back from an earlier bad investment. I don't see the P4U doing all that well either. Meaning that this is basically the end of their foray into VR. For sure other Chinese companies will make a new headset, but I don't see this company making another one any day soon. As much as I love my P4, I think the upgrade is far too small for me to consider for a price that's just too big. I paid like €450 for my P4 at launch. Paying €600 for a slightly upgraded version released over 2 years later? Yeah, not gonna happen. And I would've been more than happy to pay the €1000 or so for the top-end P5 they had planned with 4K resolution per eye and it also had a displayport.
