Sephy in Pekora's playthrough is especially savage, spamming Octaslash and Heartless Angel. Glad I don't have to deal with that in hardmode

@@satsukiyamikisho wasnt really a change because remake is a sequel. Seph escape the life stream and is trying to defy fate or more specifically his death by trying to alter history. From my understanding, Aerith gave the party a choice and they decided to defy fate. Going forward, I would think that if Aerith dies again, then that mean history stay the same but obviously that wont happen so history will change leading to Seph not dying and having a chance to come back.

Pekora's "Win at all cost" prompt was replaced with a "Survive" during this boss battle. When Pekora would usually be smug about winning, her instincts at the much stronger villain had her stay focused for the fear of death.
Glad she enjoyed the game, now I am wondering if she will want to play Crisis Core.
Pekora? Crisis Core? Aside from the obvious, which we're definitely gonna be looking forward to if she ever decided to play it. I'm also looking forward to her impressions of Genesis, Angeal, and Sephiroth. (Pre-FFVII events)

If I remember correctly , She beat the whole game on 1st try except for the final motorcycle bridge. Hell she even beat hell house on first try .

Tbh FF7R really isn't that hard at all, the only annoying fight in the game was shinra jr. Deflecting every action in the game perfectly.

Is he good for this? I Mean I know that Barret is basically your main healer in harder difficulty but I want to know if he's optimal for this fight in a regular play
If memory serves, who you bring to the sephiroth fight is dependant on the fight before it and how it turns out since FF7R doesnt have a party menu and they always find ways to make you have no more than 3 party members at once

absolutely love your translating style! you make pekora sound more natural and authentic, you translate her as if she was a native english speaker. its so refreshing!
really odd to see tifa and barret before aerith. the order of appearance is determined by points that you earn by using each character during the previous fight. between aerith being super strong and the game awarding her twice as many points as the others, usually you have to deliberately try to get her to show up last.

I always end up not using Aerith a lot because enemies target whoever you're controlling, and she's the most fragile of the bunch. I'm probably not the only one out there XDD

I didn't play this because I heard terrible things about the gameplay, story and that it's going to be a trilogy but goddamn, they really captured the spectacle of the original. Back then, FF7 was legitimately spectacular for players at the time and it was a tall order to do the same in modernity but it seems like they actually did.

I fought sephiroth today and made sure to keep it cloud vs sephiroth as much as possible. Others were just healing bots. I did not struggle as much as maybe cuz I was landing my parries and had counter too. But goddamn it was so so so chaotic towards the end. I could hardly tell what was happening on the screen
She also switched back to the buster sword as well.

Whoa, the plot of the remake in Japanese a lot more blatant than how it's translated officially in the remake.
If Sephiroth is asking Cloud to defy fate WITH him, then the Remake really isn't a remake. It's a sequel. Sephiroth went back in time change the story.
Finally someone get it that the story is ehter a time loot or sephirot changes we past but these weird Monster you find are the guardians of time so o personally thin it is a time loop

Poor Pekora must be so confused, given how much reference and foreshadowing there is that she can't possibly understand without context.
It's fine, the game was pretty well design for both types, new players who have never experienced FF7, but there is definitely something special for being a long time FF7 fan and getting to play Remake to see all the twists and turns.
Like the final Sephiroth/Cloud scene. Pekora's admiring the amazing cutscene, but being an FF7 fan, that's a moment of absolute terror seeing Sephiroth perfect parry Omnislash. Getting to see both types of reactions from people is really amazing.
