    Looks good, next time hang the frame and the slide with a wire so you can spray all sides without waiting for each side to dry

    I painted my Glock 22 using Kryon, but only the frame not the slide. I always clean real good with mineral spirits before painting and after the paint is dry good I hit it with a 2-3 coats of clear matte finish. I've found it's good to let the paint "cure" for a couple weeks before using it. Once that stuff chemically hardens up it will wear surprisingly well.

      Love that advise alot of people recommend waiting a few weeks and letting the paint cure and I agree completely

      By using it do you mean shooting it or touching it i just wanna do the slide

      The Redlands police department showed up at my house 10 deep when my neighbor witnessed me cleaning my rifle in my backyard, as I don't like to spray solvent inside, and this is a private yard. Million dollar home in a nice area, no way they saw me unless they were peeping. California is very weird place. You can have perverts dress up as women and teach your children that gay sex is normal, but be wary about cleaning your gun on your own property. I walked out front holding my mag light wondering what was going on. Curious how close I was to being shot. Something black in my hands on a call where I'm sure they just said "man with gun"

    awesome video and the paint job looks awesome! I've done similar rattle can jobs with both rustoleum and krylon camo colors, and I never had an issue with paint flaking or fading over time. granted I use usually about 2 coats. Painted an AR khaki color, then held mesh like material and sprayed quick, light stripes of OD through the mesh, giving it that almost snake skin pattern, turned out awesome. But yeah awesome video, paint job, and final product! Just wanted to let people know that, I know krylon camo for sure, spray paint job can be quite durable and will last. like he said, you want to thoroughly clean and degrease, and slightly rough up surface. also do 2 or more coats. My rattle canned AR finish held up better than the Cerakoted finish that came from factory on another AR i have. thanks and awesome vid!

  • @Digitallifeconcepts
    @Digitallifeconcepts 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I would add a matte clear cost to protect the paint. Also hanging the pieces from some fishing line off the top of a ladder lets you get to all the places for first coat without flipping them. Looks good.

      Good comment. The polymer was already impregnated with dangerous chemicals, before he painted it. Skin absorbs chemicals from polymer as well, so really, if you're shooting any polymer framed guns, you are effectively risking the same hazards as paint. The only reason it's 'safe' is because most people will not spend a lot of time sweating out their gun; only those who train the way they should are at substantial risk.
