Wellbutrin is a brand name of medication and its genetic name is bupropion.

Yes it does , because poor energy levels and focus are often caused by low levels of dopamine in the brain. Wellbutrin fixes that long term ; it’s only important to stick to it for a year at least to really rep the benefits.
Also , avoid drinking because it really reduces the efficiency & make sure you have healthy habits overall ☺️
For me , it saved me from the worse seasonal depression I was going through every year 🙏🏻

Stimulants help with focus, wellbutrin caused me memory problems and fatigue🤷♂️
It's really more about norepinephrine though - the "get up and go" neurotransmiter.

it certainly has worked wonders for me as those two symptoms were causing me the most stress and caffeine only helped minimally

Yes, it does treat low energy, and poor focus. I'm on 150XL mg. once daily. But I also have low iron levels which affect my energy and now on a iron pill for that.

I also will recommend adding Exercise, Meditation and Sleep Hygiene also along with Prozac as it will help with focus and concentration.

I have major depression and anxiety and panic disorder with agoraphobia and insomnia. I am on 450 mg and Wellbutrin and 2 mg of Klonopin and for insomnia on taking belsomra
What’s your opinion on the combination of bupropion + sertraline for first line treatment for ADHD (my doc wants to start this before trying stimulants.
This is not a bad combination. Hopefully that works for you and if there is any underlying depressive symptoms then it can reduce those also and that can also help with your focus
I don't know if I've had depression, but when I was 16-18 I used to have low energy + low motivation (mainly with studies), and I used to feel heavy physically although my BMI was within normal. Then after graduating highschool I was unable to pick a major, and I struggled for 2 years then switched my major from engineering to medicine, then I became stressed for a while and I went to a local GP and I was referred to a psychiatrist for evaluation for depression, and I was prescribed prozac 20mg and mirtazpine 30mg (and I guess I was very sensitive to those medications; and I had at least 1 conscious seizure, I stopped the medications myself, then 8 months later I feel no motivation to study [although I'm taking 9 credit hours only, electives]). I keep putting things to the last minute...
*The low energy continued after 18 but was less pronounced. I'm 22 now.
I will recommend discussing with a Therapist or Psychiatrist about starting therapy or Medications. I will recommend "Feeling Good" book from Dr. David Burns that will talk about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Exercise is the best motivator, unfortunately you have to cultivate the habit for a week first

What if you take it for depression, it works immediately the first day, only to stop working after 2/3 weeks..? im on 300mg a day now and it doesnt seem to be working at all.

I get the mechanics of Bupropion but does it help psychological issues with mental blocks, anxieties, lost of logic perception in ex: geometric drawings? Lastly when discontinuing Bupropion does it have withdrawals that magnify these anxieties symptoms?
from my experience it has the possibility to worsen pre existing anxiety and it realy only helps with symptoms specific to depression
I had no withdrawal at all stopping cold turkey twice at 300 mg's
Yes i wanted to kill myself ive stopped going to and listening to dcotors just take what works if you can control yourseld doctors and society have people all mixed up

Generics don't work like brand
What about Par Farma. Pharma.. however it’s spelled.. Kaiser uses that.. I’ll quit in a second cold turkey if it’s making me bald.. that’s depressing as hell to go bald and I don’t want to shave my head like some Q-tip… not yet..

Start low. It shouldn't in theory affect the serotonin system.
What if the Wellbutrin does not help with the focus and concentration for some people. I’ve started taking it and I’m still experiencing difficulties with those.
Sorry for the late reply. Increasing the dose of Wellbutrin (maximum is 450 mg), take it in the morning, Add Exercise. Make sure that you don't have any medical problems like Low thyroid and low vitamin D. Have Regular Sleep schedule.

@@jobunny919 I don't remember but you have to find the right dosage for you. I take mine on an empty stomach in the morning an hour b4 breakfast.
Hey, was it tough to start? My first week on 150 mg is pretty hard! Everyone is diff for sure but I'm really hoping the insomnia & strange dreams (when I can close my eyes for an hr) goes away soon! I think I already feel the emotional effects recently, which I like.

Is it ok to use propranolol with Bupropion to reduce Tremor?
I'm not a doctor, but I'm currently taking this combination and I haven't had any issues. I find that the propranolol helps to reduce some of the more stimulating effects of the buproprion to create a nice balance mentally and physically
Does Wellbutrin feel at all like adderall???
I just came off adderrall due to to horrible side effects…too much anxiety, sweating, sleeping, and physical tension I just couldn’t handle anymore….after taking for 10 years. My anxiety is so much better off adderrall but all other symptoms like lethargy and depression are back full force.
I’m worried that Wellbutrin will cause similar side effects and increased anxiety.

For me wellbutrin made me less focused and tired to the point where I needed caffeine to stay awake from 3pm on. I'm more focused and less tired off it and happier too. Though I will say withdrawls suck.
I couldn't take it any later than 10am or I wouldn't be able to sleep. Also I would get a headache at 7pm every evening and it would often turn into a migraine by 10 or 11pm and require 1/4 an imitrex to go away. My month and a half on it was overall awful.
Can you please describe your welbutrin withdrawal symptoms?
@@widehotep9257 I was irritable had a headache daily and struggled to get out of bed for a few days to even go to the bathroom.

It's not meant to treat anxiety. One of Wellbutrin's possible side effects is actually increasing anxiety!

I'm taking 150 mg of Wellbutrin now for ADHD but I don't think it's relieving all my symptoms. Do you think 300 mg would be the ideal dose for ADHD symptoms? I can't take stimulus because of my age.

Sorry for the late reply. Maximum dose of Wellbutrin XL is 450 mg. If you are on 150 mg then moving to 300 mg is a good idea.
I’m a 65 year old man with adult ADHD and I struggled with jelly legs and mild sleep apnea and bupropion XL helped alleviate those symptoms but the mental focus it did not help. I’m thinking of trying adderall for focus and hopefully it will help with my jelly leg syndrome and sleep apnea issues

And you're liar really suffered for major depression I have episodes here and there but as far as the major ones suicidal and all that no I do not.. ambrosinos are handed presidents I didn't feel that myself I felt like a zombie no emotions and pretty much just depressed and had a very very low dopamine. But since everyone all the other antidepressants and other medications this is the one that has worked the best I've been on for a while now, stay on it

SSRI could have a side effect for men of not being able to obtain an erection, keep an erection, or obtain orgasm. If you can obtain orgasm, it often feels like you were hit in the head. Not painful, but numb and buzzing. You may have heard the saying, he had his bell rung. Not pleasurable at all. After you may feel nauseous.

Sexual side effects is pretty broad there's a lot of sexual side effects what kind of sexual side effects does it help with erections doesn't make you want sex more or want sex less a lot of different side effects it's a very broad statement sexual side effects can you be more specific please I've heard this broad statement said several times with no explanation just sexual side effects.
