I've bought a 2002 Hiace SBV hiace for 13,000. And I am putting in new canvas and lots of new electric stuff - replacement fridge, new stereo etc, fan, immobilizer, etc. And given it a decent clean, wash curtains and tinted windows and I reckon my old van is almost as good as this one for a fraction of the price. Just saying....
How much did it cost in the end? Base vans in these are approx 55K...usually double after fit out, and those who are buying camper vans need to remember...your van is worth the base in the end. Why I'll be a bit reluctant doing such an expensive fitout on one that's well used.
thank you for the review I agree with everything however, I was wondering if anyone else had reported in the 2023 long base high camper that I've just purchased it Waze when you're driving the back end almost feels like you're hydroplaning. Has anyone else mentioned that it's quite disturbing when you're flying along the road, just curious and thanks again for your review. Love the van just have that one issue that concerns me.
Does it still come with a full toyota waranty?
Is the cabinetry chip or ply?
All ply substrate, as its light weight and stong.
Is it available in a 4wd?
Hiace will need a mod diff lock installed, and even then it's a bit dubious if that makes it an 'all wheel drive'.....no 4wd
This guy can't keep his hands still while doing the review. Very annoying.
