The thoroughness you go to to provide genuinely useful information in all your videos is much appreciated, no hype, no click-bait, just great and well presented (and produced) information. Much appreciated.
Awesome setup bro..im soooo jealous...my overlander build is a ole 96 hilux extracab ute and a 7x5 box trailer..seeing Australia at 80 kilometers per hour..lol..
Love this Van, no fuss just function. You see so many van lifers in there crap VDubs that focus on making a show pony’s and no real focus on living in it. Good job Mark.
Really love Mark's view of functionally vs form. ASWhite is doing a hiace 4x4 build. It will be interesting to see a comparison cost vs functionality. Cheers thanks
Fantastic setup, love it. Crikey Mark, you must have about 200kg of tools in the back, lighten up mate! Great that you are not using gas, (we paid $72 last year for a 4.5kg bottle in Bedourie.) With the new gas laws you now have to have a vent in the roof & the door. We are building a slide on at the moment & didn't know there was a combi diesel heater/hot water until seeing this video. Also agree induction cooking is the go. Another helpful video, thanks again Robert.
Such a great fit out with functionality as purpose in mind- fit for application. Often people don’t think of redundancy. If I may suggest based on my understanding of your passion for extended remote touring- perhaps a 24 -72 hour grab bag allocated spot, easy to grab and enough to get you through tough situations that you may need to forecast for. But that’s the ex military in me and perhaps not relevant to many. 😊
So well thought out that over time, any changes you make will most likely only need to be incremental. The battery at a nominal 4.8 kW/h with probably around 3.5 kW/h very safely usable, is nothing short of brilliant. Robert, while your camping fuel stove may possibly beat the electric kettle in good conditions, but when the wind is howling, or if there is a total fire ban, electric is the go. The really big plus to induction cooking outdoors is that it works with wind, plus you can use it indoors without needing to comply with the now onerous gas regulations. Would my assumption that the Webasto Combi unit is running from the main fuel tank, be correct?
the standard van ground clearance is bit low even for normal use IMO.Is there a lift kit available for a standard van and a LSD ??? Are Barn doors an option ???

Good job Mark.
Yep, we stuck with plain, simple and usable for our needs.
Exactly.
great setup, very informative.
Great setup, no fancy flashy stuff

Fantastic setup by Mark Allen - his transition from Troopylife to 4wd Vanlife is great to follow. So many practical tips. Only question is fuel range.
Glad it was helpful! Divide 160L usuable tank from 175L at say 15L/100km and there is your answer!
Still got the Troopy.
Fabulous set up mark 👌🏻and thanks for the video Robert
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you

I can't help myself with all the tools.

Great suggestion re the grab bag.
Many thanks for this, very informative. I am about to start a new Hiace build so I am following with interest.
Glad it was helpful!
Good on you mate 😊

Mark will be along to answer that!
Its an Eberspacher hot water and air system, which is drawing diesel from the HiAce fuel tank.
I have the same vehicle. Wondering where you got the water tanks? Id love to add them to my van.
Would be interested in the weight of his set up.

Yes barns are fitted to later cars.
It had a rear locker and there is an optional front too.
What’s its weights. Has it had a GVM upgrade?
