    Great video! Always tip your dealers! Jeremy If you watch the video on my channel Mel's monster 33 rolls I actually do a bunch of those tips so you can see it all in action. I tipped hard ways and hop bets and place bets and such. Thanks to David for teaming up with you on this series. We need to get David and Alex out here to play with us sometime soon!

      Tip your dealers and they, including the box person, will overlook those few times you didn't hit the back wall. Tip your dealers and they didn't hear you book that bet that would have lost on that sudden 7 out.

    Great Explanation! As a neophyte craps lover I played at the same small casino in Reo once a year for 6 years during a Conference....I played 2 way Yos on every come out roll. The stick man asked my name.....from then on....even after a year....if That dealer was at the table he announced Gary's Here! He was incredible and a great help for me as a shooter/player. He knew my hard ways were always off on come out....he knew that if any shooter rolled a 6 or 8 as a point I put 10 on that hardway....I missed it more than once and He insisted it was his fault and they paid me. Now I will follow your advice and start with a line bet for them.

    Had a great experience with a dealer a week ago. Had a very simple strategy that involved the field. When a 5,6,8 hit, he'd replenish my field for me. He knew my process for press and collect, so much so that I spent about 10 rolls not saying a word while he ran my hand for me.
    I was throwing field bets and hard ways in for him almost every hand. After making $1100, I tossed $50 in for them.

    I usually place a bet for 10% of whatever I'm betting for me. My favorite bet I've ever made was when I was leaving but, had held $200 out in black and as I was walking past the table said, "Two way Yo! One for me and one for the dealers!" and the guy threw a Yo!
    This was at the Mardi Gras Casino in Tunica, MS. The dealers started jumping up and down and screaming. A pit boss came out and put leis around my neck and put a high roller's suite on my card, along with meals for two for five days! That was in 90s, when "The Boys" still ran the casinos and knew how to treat players. The suite was nothing like Tom Cruise's suite in "Rain Man" but, it was nice. There was a four person jacuzzi by the window and a jacuzzi bathtub beside the bed. It was definitely luxury but, nothing like "Rain Man". LOL

    If I win on a roll at the Craps Table, I automatically tip the Dealers $1 and ask them what they want to do with it. They usually ask to put it on the "Pass" line. Once the point is set, I also put an additional $1 odds on that bet. You're right, the Dealers always remember that and always thank me for it. I'm really superstitious when it comes to gambling, so consider it all of this to be "Good Table Karma".

      So do I. When I buy in I pull 5/10 off the top and tell them if I run out of money, I don't want to NOT tip you guys. As I win further, I add to the tipping with occasional bets for the dealers. My rational is you tip your waiters for good service even if the chef screws up your meal.

  • @williamhopkins1625
    @williamhopkins1625 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Bunions doesn't allow player control bets, so I used to just add to my bet, but that irritated the boxman. She even told me NOT to do it. Talk about not taking care of your employees. I am on Fremont Street about 6 times/year and haven't been in Bunions in the last 18 months.
    I do tip the dealers frequently on the line with shoes. I typically get outstanding service and have a lot of fun. In the last 6 months, I have slowed down the tokes a bit; however, I keep some of those bets that I would be making frequently in my rack and about every 4-5 shooters, I give the boys a $12 six or eight place bet.
    Last month at Circa, I was having a great time and saved up some red chips from winnings and placed a $30 six for the boys. They hit 3, $30 sixes during the roll. Multiple pit/floor people were watching and rooting for them. A good time was had by all.

    Saw an older video on tipping the dealer that explained a few options, including pass line. One thing they did with the player pass line bet was add a $1 cap to your pass line bet and with a dollar pass line out for the dealers if the point is hit, dealers win on the pass line bet along with player bet. The dollar cap on your pass line bet win goes out to the pass line for the dealers on the next roll. Essentially using the casino bankroll to tip the dealers out of your winnings. The same concept can be used with pass line odds bets behind the dealers $1 bet.
    I tried this in Vegas a few years back to some decent success, hitting a few points here and there and the dealers were more into the game and more attentive to my play. It made for a fun and exciting game!

    my favorite game is craps, because it's a social game. gambling... whatever. it's entertainment. Craps is great because it's communal, you want to win, you want there to be a hot hand, and the stick guy, the dealer at your end, you want those people to be entertaining. Hopefully looking out for you/helping. Dealers that give you the info, what the amt to bet, or if something is working or not.. etc. I knew about the 2-ways thing. but learning the on the line/shoes thing, and under player control is great info. I was at a casino over the weekend, i player only dark side, $25 for me $5 for dealers. With the $5 chip beside mine, and at least 3 or 4 dealers would ask what that bet was, when the dealers were relieved or new person came to that base. Apparently not many dark siders, and even less that give action to the dealers on every roll. I played for at least an hour without one point being made. Finally an older gentleman finally hit an 8. Colored up for $1000, no odds on that 8 just a quarter.

    Do the dealers at a crap table get their own tips during their round or are they combined and split later. I’ve noticed at some table games the dealer will bring their own tip can and others they don’t. Very true how a good croupier can really make a game fun. Had great ones in St.Martin. Large group of friends went regularly the same weeks for several years and were always remembered and treated great. Same way at poker table. Always took care of them. Worst were in the Bahamas. Acted like they wished we weren’t there.

    I always tip dealers, except the very few who are jerks. Last year I started betting a $4 Iron Cross-- player-controlled..... for them. They win on every roll of course. I control by telling them to take the winnings but leave the bet. I have to replace the $1 Field if it loses, but the other three numbers stay up.......... Winning a tip on every non-7 roll gets them into the game and on my side to keep the roll going.

    I normally do double tap into tripplelux - once I'm out of the hand I get the kids up with a $3 6&8 under player control. Each hit, we press and/or spread. The dealers are always locking up a dollar or two. Sometimes if I'm late to start or if I'm only hitting outside numbers I'll bump to $18 across. It only takes a hit or two before they are $32 across. Last week they got around $350 off of a nice roll. They ended up around $160 across based off a $6 seed.

    My question is (don't think it was mentioned) do all dealers split their tips? Basically you can't tip a specific dealer because they were good to you, it would go to all of them? And vice versa, if you had one crappy dealer at the end, you should probably still tip if say the other dealers were good before them and you waited til the end to tip since it goes to them all?

    • @ColorUp

    Well I know things may be different but at the Casino I work at anything we win we do have to drop but if a players throws us something and tells us we can do what we want we can ride a players bet or they can throw out and call it a two way bet or dealers riding the bet. If we are riding the bet we can stay up. I know that I have gotten to the point when I play I come out there betting all 6 numbers up top and if I put the dealers up there and I like to have the dealers riding so they will stay up but I want to give the dealers the power to do what they want or can with the payout and if things are going good on a roll I add to there bets to try to get there payouts paying better.

    One of most enjoyable tokes for the dealers are piggyback the hardways a $1 each, then parlay the first hit and let it ride in hopes for $70 or $90 on the second hardway that hits. You'll have the entire dice crew screaming and cheering for that parlayed hardway to hit again.

Never thought the dealer would prefer placing bets for them. I really keep them busy too. POint, establish a DC, Place across and bet in the come. Bring down place bet Move to max odds keep a bet in the come the whole time. Hardway and yo hedges. It's constant action on each roll. Every now and then bet a horn or field. Keeping them busy. I finally just recently started to position myself at the table next to the DC. I was liking straight across from the dealer so I could see what I was doing and was able to keep up with everything in front and I was shooting the dice well from there. one dealer lady was trying to get me to move and there was another player in that spot so I stayed across from her. Must have put some bad mojo on me because I kept getting hit with PSOs. But the next time I positioned myself in the right spot and ended with 2k in profit. I probably tipped less than 50 bucks for the couple hours I was there. I'm gonna start placing a 5 bucks across for the dealers at least from now on. The dealers are always helping me with this all over the place strategy I have been using.

      Nope, if a bet for dealer is lost, they get none. Why some prefer just a hand in vs betting for them.

      It’s tough to suggest, There was so much turnover during pandemic. It varies from shift to shift as well. There are break in casinos for new dealers, these are the lower end properties. The higher end properties, Cosmo, Belagio etc take years to achieve that level and they are there for a reason. But there also some that are now jaded after dealing fir 30yrs. So even top tier casino doesn’t necessarily guarantee anything. Great thing about Vegas, so many casinos in close proximity. Not having fun with a crew, head to a different one :)

    When placing odds for the dealer, do I need to pay attention to the payout, like if the 5 or 9 is the point. Do my odds bets need to be in $2 increments?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would pay better but not necessary. on the 5/9 a $2 bet would pay $3 which is nice(3:2 payout) Depending on casino they may round up or down for dealer bets. A $3 bet may round up or down, but a $4 bet would always pay at true odds of $6. You run into that issue with the 6/8 also. Until you get to $5 in odds when they will for sure pay $6, the bet most likely will be rounded down to even money.

  • @Makai_Falcon

    I like that $1 place bet for the toke, but I think I would cover all across for $6 so at least if a 4 or 10 is rolled they could get proper odds of $2. Does that make sense?

      @@ColorUp well where I work at and the few places I have played at it just gets paid $2 on the 4 and 10 and nothing gets said plus it rarely takes long to get the 4 or 10 bought and if it is bought and the dealer is riding then it will most definitely get $2. But the others numbers tend to calculated closer to correct.

    I think it was at least 12 or more years ago when Terrible's was open and offered craps in Jean, NV. I bet $100 and won on rail road tracks which paid $3000. The pit was immediately heads up and pissed! Every time the dice came to me he would harass me into speeding up my handling of the dice - he was rushing me; I suspect he was trying to rattle me into rolling poorly. So I quit rolling and only bet and I began to win on the hard ways eventually getting up to about $1000. The rudeness and anger of the pit was so obvious, people started walking which he started blaming me - for cooling the table.
    I eventually walked too, and when the pit was not looking I gave $300 to the stick to split with the two other dealers who saw what I did...so the toke was shared - but NOT with the pit. Screw him: he's the one who cooled the table. Interesting scenario. I think Jean NV is closed these days - have not been back since that event with the stupid pit man.
    Now I live in Colorado and play in Black Hawk.
    Nice video.

      Yeah, some small casinos sweat the money. All casinos will win in the end as long as they have a bankroll behind them, thats why larger casinos are happy to see players win big, they know it will come back to them in time. But those small ones, big wins put a dent in their bottom line. Terribles closed in 2020.

    When i bet for the dealer on the hardways, i will " piggyback" the bet meaning if it wins, the dealers get paid and the bet stays up for them. Also when playing for while, when placing a hardway bet for both dealers and myself, i will call out " 31 on the hard 8" meaning $3 for me and $1 for the dealers on the hard 8 for both. And by this time they will know to PIGGYBACK it. See you at DICECON 2022.
