Had to stop the video just to comment on how impressed and amused I was by the unboxing complete with awesome sound effects and dramatic Terminator style music. Awesome work and best unboxing section I have seen. Now time to get back to the video. Great job my friend.
Nice review! Pretty thorough, objective and entertaining. It's a pity the Comica doesn't work as a USB microphone, that would have totally killed the Rode one. I also think you missed to "warn" enough about the deadcat filter in the Rode. It's an additional cost and it adds like another 30 dollars to the price... (clicking affiliate link...) wait, 45 dollars?!. You did mention the Rode is better in windy conditions, but again you missed the chance to say "but well, you'd have to pay an additional 45 dollars to the already double price to get that result". But yeah, I guess it also has a thicker foam under the fur, like we can see on the regular foam filter. Again, I think that USB connectivity is the feature I'd like to get in the Comica even if it added like 30 dollars to the price, I'd still buy it. Remembering all the goodies you get with the Comica (that you rightly emphasize) compared with the goodies that DO NOT come with the Rode. Thanks again for the review!
Comica are super good mic 🎙. I have both comica and rod but I prefer comica simple and easy to use outdoors and better for extreme condition battery 🔋 on comica is very long life
13:57 Wow they both sound horrible compared to your regular mic. However on other channels Rode NTG sounded 10x better than what you presented, I think it must be some sort of mistake in your Rode setup. It just can't sound so bad, other videos show superb quality.
@@430amtrader5maybe it's the room reverb. They sound better outside, but even there they're not great. BTW it is nice the Comica included the dead cat, but that's not a particularly great dead cat. I own the Comica VM30, wich is a slightly improved version of the VM20 with the addition of a wireless module.
I'm going to be vlogging outside, unfortunately i have a cohost i don't want. CRICKETS!!!!! What can I do to eliminate the cohost in the background? I'm thinking start with shotgun mic, I'm using Lumafusion to edit.
@@BrannonNod I've watched at least a dozen Comica VM20 reviews and know that the mic loses in a wind test to Rode VideoMic NTG and Deity D3 pro. But no one tested Comica with a different Wind Muff 😔 It would great if you would make that test! I appreciate your work! 👍 Thank you!
@@BrannonNod used your link to get it in my cart! think im gonna pick up the comica and eventually get the rode ntg I think they are a good pair. I have the deity d3..not the pro.. think i will compare those 2
All these reviews and none of them put an acoustic guitar in there or any other instrument. ... ... I 'm looking at the Qn8-4k zoom video camer and therefore the I am wonder about the VM20.
You should have used the SAME wind muff on both mics to determine which Mic rejects wind noise better and not the wind muff. But thank you I appreciate it

Well Thank you for that👍
Welcome Aboard 🙏
So glad you like my content 👊
@@BrannonNod Sure. A no-brainer like and subscribe. Look forward to more
I have that Comica, I have to say it does sound better than in this video. It's worth it for the price.
it was about time someone did something different, very original and well crafted

What mic are you using for the video?
I enjoyed your video Brannon! Subd!

Thanks
Is this microphone comica suitable for video recording on trips, family events, street, etc...?
2 videos in one day you are on fire 🔥 my friend keep them coming. Good to see you again. See you in the next video. Stay safe!
Lol I can't help myself 👊🤣❤
Whoa !!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE TRULY INCREDIBLE!!!! cinematic sound for your youtube's! How'd u DO DAT??? ?

Great review! I will be checking you out a lot more!
Hey man! Just got the rode wind muff. Came fast lol my first piece of rode gear and it fits the deity!

It sounds like you didn't even switch them on - just used the cameras build in mic

His regular mic is mixed prolly with noise gate and desser
Nice one Brannon! Comica stood up pretty well!
Yes it's a Great mic for the price👍
Hey how far is the lewitt mic away from you in the video? just out of frame? Next to the front cam i guess? So over half arm away..? Sounds so good..
It's off to my left about 6 to 7 inches away..
But I also use a few sound tools in Adobe Premiere Pro 👍
theres no comparison with battery. comica lasted 71 hrs straight. thats nuts!!!
Damn the Rode VideoMic NTG sems to handle the wind a lot better.
Yes it's because of the WS 11 wind muff..
Witch you can use on the comica but needs a little force but will fit👍
I love the comica mic .. we stand haha
Yeah it's pretty Legit for the Price it may not have all the bells and whistles but it gets the Job done Well👊
@@BrannonNod try the BOYA MICROPHONE next ❤️ that would be awesome
Are you sure that for those tests inside you had them on? Something isn't right there...they both sounds like a camera microphone...
13:57 are you sure you're using the actual microphones? It sounds as if you you're using audio from the on board camera - terrible.
I wish you would have tried the Comica outside using the Rode WS-11 on it as it will fit.
I had a comment about that awhile back
I tried it although a little tight fitting it on it will work👍
I'm going to be vlogging outside, unfortunately i have a cohost i don't want. CRICKETS!!!!! What can I do to eliminate the cohost in the background? I'm thinking start with shotgun mic, I'm using Lumafusion to edit.
Hi! Thank you for the video!
What if you would use Rode's Dead cat on Comica? Will it help with the wind?
Thats a great question I'll have to test👍

Thank you!
Id imaging as long as it fits it will work
@@A1Bokeh the microphone and a different brand wind muff on its way. I'll test it when I get it 👍
I did have time to try the Rode WS-11 on the Comica it takes a little force but will fit👍
What do you think of using a good wind muff on the comica ?
You can actually use the Rode WS-11 I show in the Review...it goes on firm but will fit👍
@@BrannonNod dang that feels like a pretty good upgrade... im very tempted by the comica as a backup budget mic

Nice Ty Yes the Comica is A Awesome choice...👍
man your studio mic blows both those shotgun mics out of the water lol
Lol with a little editing of course
It looks like a Lewitt. Brannon, tell us about this mic
It's the LCT 440 Pure Condener 🎙
@@BrannonNod What editing do you do? - are there any mics you can recommend that sound full/bassy straight out of the box?
Once you went outside to test I said.....Hmmm looks like Michigan / Metro Detroit to me.
True Story 😉
@@BrannonNod I ended up buying the Sennheiser 400 A few dollars more. I just know and trust the brand. Thanks for the review. Go Lions LOL

The wind muff that I purchased separately for the Rode doesn't exactly fit the Comica
A lot of flash and talking but little substance, so... no, I won't be subscribing thanks. But all the best anyways
