Money is tight at my house, I use one pound of hamburger mixed with 1 1/2 of cooked brown lentils. I made taco hamburger, the first night we put it over a big baked potato. 2nd night we used part of the meat left on homemade pizza, 3rd night tonight we are having the rest of the taco meat in taco spaghetti, I will have to add a can or two of whole tomatoes and more homemade taco seasoning. There is only two of us so that pound of hamburger fed us 3 meals. Lentils are a real stretcher now with mom's favorite stretcher a handful of oatmeal. Fiesta turkey at Walmart is cheaper than hamburger while cooking your turkey add a beef bullion cube it will come out tasting like beef. Thanks for the recipe.
I totally understand and I LOVE lentils! I love how you stretched into three meals! I may try this as well! The handful of oatmeal addition is so interesting! Thank you so much for sharing!
Great looking Taco Spaghetti!!! But I do wish the directions were included. Also I don't think the cumin was mentioned in the ingredients. So about how much should I use? I can't go by taste because the meat is still cooking. I sure don't want to put too much in because it'd ruin it.
I was wanting smell-a-vision cause that sure did look good. My own version isn’t much different from your and it’s always a big hit. Have you ever made taco pizza? A few years ago some friends and I came up with our taco pizza during a homemade pizza night and it was a dream come true making it to the monthly pizza night menu.
Lol. It was sooo good! I have never made Mexican pizza but I’ll make in the near future! Now that sounds AMAZING! 😋🤤 thanks for the suggestion, Cindy, and thanks for watching!
It looks really good! But, have a question. Won't all the spices you put on the meat before its drained simply go away with the grease/water when you do drain it? When I do stuff like this, I'll brown my meat, put it in a basket sieve to drain over a salad bowl, then sauté my aromatics in butter, then add my meat back in and at that point add in spices. Do you think it doesn't matter? Always interested in different opinions (opynyns?).
You realize of course that you lost a huge amount of your spiced and flavor when you drained your liquid after you added the flavorings. ??? Why would you do that? Drain the beef first. Then add the onions and spices, etc.
A couple of things. First, you do realize that much of the seasoning that you included PRIOR to draining the grease from the hamburger meat went down the drain along with the grease. You should have included the seasoning AFTER draining the grease. Second, you were wasteful not adding some of the beef broth into the cans of ROTEL, tomato paste, etc. in order to get ALL the flavoring left in the cans AFTER you emptied the contents into the pan with the meat.

@@OpenDialogueDiaries just use your taco seasonings. Rotella, enchilada sauce. Taco meat and go for it, a taco on a pizza
❤ delicious
Thank you 😋
Sounds like a morning on the crapper !
lol. It was good! Thanks for watching. Lol
the amount of ingredients in this one dish is crazy.
It’s worth it all 😁

You would think that it would, but my meat remained well seasoned. Feel free to add after you drain. I sometimes season before and after I drain 😁
Thank you for the love!
if i did that, all the taste would leave with the water/fat.
@@kamiko70 the flavor was perfect. Thanks for watching!
Why add taco mix when you already add cumin and the other ingredients from a taco pack ? Just wondering. It looks wonderful though!!
Hey there! That’s what the recipe called for so I went with it lol I am sure you can omit that and it will be just as good! Thanks for watching!!
Ok sorry it’s just spices to your taste that don’t have salt. I’m making this recipe tomorrow ❤
Great!!! Please let me know what you think!
Looks delicious but your recipe below is missing some of your spices.
You broke the spaghetti!
Yes I did! Lol
@@OpenDialogueDiaries Grrrrrrrrrr!
