Now you can get 160-200K for mid-senior level only in a few top companies. Indian recruiters cut your salary up to 20-35% for mid-senior level engineers paying 90- 110K.

Agree there are a lot less 200k jobs on the market right now

I just heard about QA Testers, and I just finished watching your video. From what you mentioned it sounds like QA Testing is a great way to learn about the I.T. profession and sounds stable. I actually like Software Development because I've been enjoying making things for myself. But I hear making things as a hobby is completely different from making things within a professional setting. I did a bit of research I heard about something called Selenium used as a tester. I am still learning about the tools of a QA Tester, but I noticed on the job boards you use Selenium with either Java, Python, Ruby or maybe JavaScript? I live in a big city, and I am guessing Java would be the best language to start off with. But my skills are mostly in JavaScript. Does the programming language really matter? Can you choose any programming language which works with Selenium? Or is Java the way to go? Thanks Alex?

Go with playwright as a testing framework it works with js well. Also checkout my channel’s playlist on testing, you will find a lot of info there.

@irel4ever Certain boot camps, such as Careerist, offer a comprehensive internship program that begins immediately after the training/lessons period. That's an exceptional way to earn solid experience before moving into a contract or permanent role.
