As a total and complete beginner I really appreciate how you talk about and leave in your mistakes. So many of the videos and reels I see on youtube and instagram make it look like everything is effortless and perfect and it's really disheartening when I can't stop messing up. I'm not as confident with my sketching or watercolor. I practice those reference phots before I video tape the final one and then it's still finger crossed. I started this channel to see my own progress and share that it's all about practicing.

Thank goodness the gouache wiped off! Nothing worst than making a mistake when you're almost done. In my Old Town Bakery sketch I messed up the door and it took me a couple of days to get a lightbulb moment. I used the gouache again to fix it. I already posted the video before the fix but you can see it in todays video on how to apply your paper artwork to cradle panels. The door looks so much better.

I'm self taught and love to do still life with oil but needed a change so I went to abstract but that didn't bring me joy and then I came across urban sketching and fell in love again.
