  • In this video, I go in depth about the different types of focusing there are on the Fuji X-T2. Then, I talk about the modes, and how I think of them. I talk about their usage, and how to operate the camera in real time. I hope this helps you! Ps - thank you for your encouragement everyone, and for being patient! I really appreciate it.

    Do you ever use the tracking feature, in what context?

    An absolutely first class instructional video. Your style of presentation makes understanding the subject so easy. You possess real teaching skills. I think it’s the best video on TH-cam explaining the focussing options on the X-T2. Thank you for making this video. I can now really enjoy my camera and photography!

    Oh my. You helped me so much. I will not part with my T2; your patience has expanded my knowledge. I like to go to the roller park and get the skaters in mid-air. Now I can do it.Your explanation and patience is fantastic.

    This is so helpful! I’ve had the xT2 for a few months and never had such a good understanding of the AF modes.

    This is helpful to understand these settings. I tend to get into a particular setting and then just leave it there, like back-button focusing. As I began with the X-t3 two years ago, learning about focusing, C or M is mostly used. This video makes it clear that experimenting with the settings is needed to completely understand what is going on, here. Thanks, JC.

      I do the same thing. sometimes the last thing I want to do is learn anything and disrupt my flow. but then again, I complain that my stuff stays the same. seems you enjoy your xt3.. you got that 2 years ago. tech advances so fast! thank you for your thoughtful comment, I agree.

    You Sir, have made the best informative video on focusing I've come across! (And I've viewed a lot believe me) Outstanding in every way! Thank you for clearing the confusion of focusing options, you saved me a lot of time trying to figure everything out by myself.

    Excellent explanation, thank you. I am trying to set up my xt2 for street portraits (with a Fuji 56mm 1.2 R); do you have any recommendations for settings, ie, how to set up the correct focus option with eye tracking? Maybe you have a video? In the meantime I will take a look through your videos. Thanks again 👍🏻

    Wow that is the most instructional video on said subject. I am usiing a xt3 and assume the same settings apply. One question I have is what happens when you change the metering dial to for example to spot? Thanks, I have saved this video to review again...

    • @jimmycphoto
      @jimmycphoto  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hm i cant say i know for sure. since the metering has more to do with exposure i dont really turn that as much when it comes to autofocus. unless im misunderstanding the question?

    Very helpful video!! Would you recommend the Fuji X-T2 over the X-T20 for a beginner photographer? Are the auto-focus settings easier to use on one of these models?

    • @jimmycphoto
      @jimmycphoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the xt2.. so im more biased towards that. I wouldn't say one is easier. there are useful auto modes on most cameras. you can't go wrong with either!
