We finished the greenhouse before the storm

With my husband back at work, I set out to finish the greenhouse alone. I had to get it done before the wind got too strong--and didn't like the time pressure at all. The next day, with more time pressure, I put up the rain collection system.

We have the same greenhouse. We decided to build ours on a stone floor. Yours should be fine if the grass underground is not too soft and soggy. If too soft you will need a stabilizer set. Ours did not move , not even a centimeter , during the big storms from the last 2 weeks 🤗 Happy planting

We added some weight in each corner and anchors into the ground. The neighbor who did this as a job approved the result. I think it will work. Hope yours stays strong 🙂

Spring is such a lovely time, every day there are new surprises in the garden. We are finally getting little leaves on our trees and shrubs and the daffodils blooming. Your greenhouse is so cute, I know you’ll have fun with it. Love the rain barrels. I’m on a well so I’m conservative with my water. I’m planning to make some rain collectors out of garbage cans, but with so many projects happening at the moment I may not get to it right away. ❤

Oh, I know the feeling of many projects and ideas. It will all work itself out 🙂 There is no running water or well at the property. I have to collect it there or drive it there.

You did a great job to construct the greenhouse. It looks impressive! However, if the roof panels are made of polycarbonate, it would be advisable to secure them with silicone sealant. I reglazed my greenhouse with polycarbonate roofing sheets a few years ago and, after beastly winter winds, many of them ended up in my neighbour's garden! Glad to see Pepper enjoying sunshine, with floppy ears, he looked happy. And so did you. I love seeing you smile 😀

I hope they will hold up to whatever the winds through at them. If this can stay upright for two years, it has done its job. Hopefully.

I love the little bench outside your greenhouse. Did it come with the Greenhouse, or did you have it already?

One of the elderly neighbors builds them out of boredom. One day, he surprised me with these two 🙂 They work perfectly in the garden. He even painted them with outdoor paint.
