I was already nostalgic at the first weekend after the release with the soundtrack from N. Gin dimension. A Real Grind and Hit The Road are great themes.
Even though I prefer The Wrath Of Cortex's Music, with notable tracks being Compactor Reactor, Wizards & Lizards and Tornado Alley, the music in this game is really good!
@@CaptainCoolzCT- Honestly, I think that most of the music in this game suffers from using the same instrument or a really echoey instrument for the main melody. The ones that don't do this sound really good though, like the Snow Go part of Stay Frosty and Food Run.
Shoutout to Walter Mair for making such an amazing soundtrack which perfectly balanced the new and the old! Not being afraid to reference old tracks when appropriate, but not afraid to add to the Crash Bandicoot melodic collection!
I don't know why but 18:40 makes me tear up every time. I cried the first time I played the level and heard that beautiful but simple tune, and every time I play this level again or listen to the music this one bit always gets me the most. Maybe because it has so much Crash to it with a bit of childhood feelings, innocence and wonder. So so wonderful
In fairness the sound mixing is pretty damn awful in-game. You can barely hear the tracks so they just come off as a dreary noise, especially under the PS4's loud humming. Crash Nitro Kart has the same problem. A cool soundtrack that you can barely hear.
I mean Caddicarus did say he thought the soundtrack was good, he just thought it didn’t have enough oomph to it and that it was a bit too moody and atmospheric.
For people who is confused or don't understand: Nintendo is taking down the people who uploading their game sound. They should've learned from crash bandicoot and sonic.
What a fantastic soundtrack this game has! Cortex Castle and Run it Bayou has to be one of my many favorites. Some of them give me a lot of Spyro vibes too :D Can't wait to see what's coming next for either Spyro or Crash ☺️
I can't explain it: it SOUNDS like traditional Crash Bandicoot music, but...better? Like, I really liked the Josh Mancell soundtracks, but this is like, a whole new level. I LOVE it.
It is not better than Josh Mancell's work. The only flaw this game has is the soundtrack. It is so generic and yes, it includes a lot of nice tunes now and then but Mancell's work was focused on catchy leitmotiffs. This soundtrack does not have one theme that you could hum or remember after playing the game. It is almost as the composer thought that the soundtrack should focus on implementing tribal instrumentation and completely forgot about the catchy melody. Nevertheless the overall production and instrumentation is far better than the original PSX soundtrack.
@@janussciencegaming But I literally hum a lot of the songs here when I'm bored. They're longer and more ambient, yes, but to say they're not memorable is a lie.
I’m so happy. So unbelievably happy. I love the fact that these tracks actually have beginnings and endings like a song should instead of just cutting off like a lot of video game tracks do. It’s... it’s godly... It’s been out for less than a month and I’ve been listening to it for 7 weeks now in one sitting. This is probably the second best soundtrack I have ever heard in a video game... But objectively without personal preference, it would be a straight up #1. A bonafide TEN!
was not expecting the official channel to straight up upload the entire soundtrack but that's pretty cool. My personal favourite tracks are: Food Run (01:13:58) Stay Frosty (00:46:50) Out for Launch (01:02:19) Toxic Tunnels: (01:23:54) Hook, Line and Sinker: (00:20:16) it's a great soundtrack overall!

The soundtrack of Crash Bandicoot 4 is absolutely amazing! My favorites are: Booty Calls, Stay Frosty, Draggin’ On, Give it a Spin, Stowing Away, Snow Way Out, Rude Awakening, Hit the Road, Off Beat.... uhm, I just like them all!!
I just realized right now exactly how good the soundtrack actually is! I've seen some people say it's not as good as past iterations, but I think the problem for me was that I was so focused on the gameplay,I didn't really pay attention to the music. Great job!
some people are just blinded by nostalgia this soundtrack is on the same level as the trilogy soundtrack. the musics really feel like crash bandicoot and fit the levels perfectly
Broke: Don't upload the OST of your games anywhere and copyright strike those who do. Woke: Upload the entire OST of your new game on youtube not long after the game is released.
@@amirgarcia547 ikr that's such bullshit! The graphics are literally the only good thing about it...but alas good games nowadays never get any rewards anymore
Because its the game awards, and it's just as fake as the Oscars. I don't understand why people care about these award shows. Its just an advertisement. The people in charge don't care, so why do you?
y'know I've noticed that this iteration of the soundtrack has some differences to the final one used ingame. most notably nitro processing and toxic tunnels have less clear melodies in some parts - presumably meaning this video was produced before the final iterations of the tracks were made. could even be the opposite and these versions of the tracks were made after the ingame ones were implemented to work better in a compilation album, though probably not since that wouldn't make much sense. literally one of my favourite game soundtracks ever though so regardless of what stage in development this video was produced in it's still all great.
Music from snow levels is the best, justr like the levels themselves. How the track from "Stay Frosty" includes so much homages to the classic Crash levels' music and still includes its own original motives is great!
I won’t lie, I wasn’t expecting much from this game’s OST, as other than Twinsanity, I don’t think any other Crash game’s music has come close to the OG trilogy. But after actually playing the game, dayum, this OST is *really* good, and just might be on par withe the OG trilogy, as it takes its tracks along with making memorable new ones with upbeat and modern instrumentation. So suffice to say, the composer did a job well done.👌🏽 If I had to pick one favorite track, it’d have to be Stay Frosty due to taking an energetic track lack Snow Go and turning it into a more melodic tune mixed with Cortex’s theme.
It's very considerate for the actual franchise to release the full soundtrack on their TH-cam channel with a chapter list in detail. Usually we all depend on someone in the fan base to do this kind of work! Thank you very much Crash!
I totally agree. Just for reference here is the exact playlist you was probably thinking about when you mentioned fans doing it. th-cam.com/play/PLfQ0j5YNcrZr2DmrD0_zugAf6VoHBaJvU.html

One of the best games I have ever played in my life. I love platformers with cartoon graphics and Crash 4 is an absolute best! Excellent level design, great colors and awesome music. 5 star game, worth every penny.
0:04 this art is better than the final version used for the box. It's the only Crash 4 art I've seen to get the proportions around Crash's mouth correct. Still a bit too "fluid" for lack of a better term, but far closer to Charles Zembillas' design than I've seen in a loooooong time.
I am disappointed by the lack of the real/"universe one" Tropy though. Considering he's got the most accurate model of all characters in-game, I was hoping to see some concept art. But I've only seen female Tropy concept art.

The crate escape is now without a doubt my favourite song in this soundtrack. It's so infectiously catchy
18:39 My favorite part
Same, that part makes me feel happy
The percussion is so perfect

"Run it Bayou" 42:02

OUT FOR LAUNCH 🚀 IS SOOOOO GOOD
Stowing Away is the one that does it for me - it just builds and builds!
Yes! It just can't stop playing in my head
Yeah
A lot of people came just for that song
Yeah
This soundtrack is on par with the rest of the trilogy imo. Now we only have to wait for people to grow nostalgic attachment to this as well.
I was already nostalgic at the first weekend after the release with the soundtrack from N. Gin dimension. A Real Grind and Hit The Road are great themes.
Specially out for launch
Even though I prefer The Wrath Of Cortex's Music, with notable tracks being Compactor Reactor, Wizards & Lizards and Tornado Alley, the music in this game is really good!
Specially out for launch
@@CaptainCoolzCT- Honestly, I think that most of the music in this game suffers from using the same instrument or a really echoey instrument for the main melody. The ones that don't do this sound really good though, like the Snow Go part of Stay Frosty and Food Run.
Stay Frosty is such a perfect track for a Crash game. The Cold Hard Crash riff in the middle just brings me back to playing Crash 2 as kid
Same feelings bro ❤
One of the best tunes in the game (and level designs imho). Didn't know from the timestamp but so glad when I clicked and saw Booty Calls
Me too 😭❤️
Could you guys give a launch 17:58
This is where caddicarus is wrong. This soundtrack is awesome and captures perfectly what a Crash Bandicoot soundtrack is supposed to be like.
In fairness the sound mixing is pretty damn awful in-game. You can barely hear the tracks so they just come off as a dreary noise, especially under the PS4's loud humming. Crash Nitro Kart has the same problem. A cool soundtrack that you can barely hear.
@@e-122psi3 I think its just because your not paying attention if you play the level
When I just slow down and listen to the music I can hear it fine
I mean Caddicarus did say he thought the soundtrack was good, he just thought it didn’t have enough oomph to it and that it was a bit too moody and atmospheric.
Soo many Titans and Mind Over Mutant vibes with this artwork!
Along with spyro
Do you see this, Nintendo? Learn from what they did.
*Edit: Sorry for the way my English was 2 years ago, it was horrible back then*
¿En serio? ¿Tan exigente es Nintendo con el copyright?
Are you saying Nintendo should learn from crash 4
Or crash 4 should learn from Nintendo
Hopefully the former
For people who is confused or don't understand:
Nintendo is taking down the people who uploading their game sound.
They should've learned from crash bandicoot and sonic.
They're really lucky the Polar section's music is so catchy lol. Almost make me not mind going relics in it
True, Snhurgle ride too
the perfect relic🤬
@@Mateeazz but for some reason that music stops if you die at the end of the level which for some reason makes that part feel more frustrating
@@PinkGoldPeach23105 yeah, clearly a bug
@@PinkGoldPeach23105 Yeah, that was weird how the music just stops during the Shnurgle Ride halfway through.
What a fantastic soundtrack this game has! Cortex Castle and Run it Bayou has to be one of my many favorites. Some of them give me a lot of Spyro vibes too :D
Can't wait to see what's coming next for either Spyro or Crash ☺️
Some of the music gives me donkey vibes too, for some reason...
Some of the music gives me donkey vibes too, for some reason...
Cortex Castle is my favorite level and track in the entire game
I can't explain it: it SOUNDS like traditional Crash Bandicoot music, but...better? Like, I really liked the Josh Mancell soundtracks, but this is like, a whole new level. I LOVE it.
It's the live instrumentation, I think.
It is not better than Josh Mancell's work. The only flaw this game has is the soundtrack. It is so generic and yes, it
includes a lot of nice tunes now and then but Mancell's work was focused on catchy leitmotiffs.
@@janussciencegaming only off beat and food run are memorable enough to actually hum, and only specific parts of them
I’m so happy.
*bona fide

I'm surprised nobody's ask what your personal favourite soundtrack is cus I'm curious? Two years on, still #2? What's #1 lol

Hook, Line and Sinker music fits perfectly for a hero rescuing her friends. Thank you Toys For Bob.

was not expecting the official channel to straight up upload the entire soundtrack but that's pretty cool.
My personal favourite tracks are:
Food Run (01:13:58)
Stay Frosty (00:46:50)
Out for Launch (01:02:19)
Toxic Tunnels: (01:23:54)

It is oddly similar to The florana jungle from R&C 3 mixed with kerwan from R&C 1

It's like a mix of both the originals and little bit of Twisanity minus the acapella but I still love It so much!
There are also some bits of Mind Over Mutant too (specially in Bears Repeating)
Off Beat! hands down my favorite level and piece of music in the game!
Same, however I think that the grinding is the best part and they left it out ):
I love the art. Soundtracks are dope too but that art though!
I just realized right now exactly how good the soundtrack actually is!
I've seen some people say it's not as good as past iterations, but I think the problem for me was that I was so focused on the gameplay,I didn't really pay attention to the music.
Great job!
some people are just blinded by nostalgia
this soundtrack is on the same level as the trilogy soundtrack. the musics really feel like crash bandicoot and fit the levels perfectly
What I did: I turned the volume for sound effects in the options menu from 10 to 5 and I left music on 10. That way you can hear the music better!
Nitro processing, toxic tunnels, stay frosty and out for launch are my favourites.
21:00 the backing in portions of Hook, Line and Sinker reminds me of A Hat in Times Rush Hour, soo good XD
this is a true work of art !!!!! this portrays what is was and will be crash bandicoot !!!! greetings from Mexico!!!!
I love how the jet board stage of Run It Bayou is straight up Ripper Roo's theme

‘Cause they needed to nominate TLOU2 for every award instead, despite the fact it’s music is forgettable af.
@@amirgarcia547 tbh, just there is one music that i remember from TLOU 2

So suffice to say, the composer did a job well done.👌🏽
If I had to pick one favorite track, it’d have to be Stay Frosty due to taking an energetic track lack Snow Go and turning it into a more melodic tune mixed with Cortex’s theme.
Send it to Spotify, iTunes/Apple Music, Pandora, iheart radio, tune in, Deezer, Amazon Music, Soundcloud, and Tidal!
