      @@francisreyestalusig8432 Well opentoonz as a animation software was pretty overwhelming at first it felt kind of complicated. I was able to figure out some of it but even then there are so many other controls that I probably won't get to. Tohoma needs work on its pressure sensitivity but over all its not to bad not too complicated it looks like i could get the hang of all the other uses with some practice and tutorials but I could use it.

    i have noticed that,they released tahoma 2D 1.1 - which was released in october 30 - and it manages my project very well,i did not have to set path location to each separate project,like in opentoonz.

    Thank you for making this video. Please put in your video description that Tahoma has EVERYTHING that OT has plus extra in a clearer gui. That info would help those asking "does it have this and this" YES.! Well worth the download IMO. Thanks

    What if you wanted to import a library of premade character poses as images and same with lipsync facial images, would tahoma be useful for putting this together into animation?

    This looks incredible ??? I really wished the OT devs went the simplify but optimise route, the simple fact people say the simplicity of Tahoma makes them want to learn to animate in comparaison to OT is telling.
    Visually Tahoma reminds me of my Krita working space, I'll give it a shot! I love how you kept the crashing in the video xD feels more like a genuine review.
    But does Tahoma have audio scrubbing and virtual camera keys ?

    • @JimPAnimation
      @JimPAnimation 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Jeremy Bullock Your comment says it all. I searched for days and your comment will ease peoples minds that it didn't lose anything from OT and I hope they ALL download your Tahoma. Can you come up with a better way to import a sequence (how about when you drag it in a prompt comes up to ask (sequence or separate levels) rather than having to go to the browser and rename the file or something. I never do it because it's so clunky in OT.
      And I might as well ask here in case you read this... How come you can only onion skin the level that you're on? is that standard? I would sometimes like to onionskin some more or all of the levels.
      Thank you!

      Krita.. right, that's why it felt overly familiar. I like the overall approach to the animation software that makes it more streamlined than OT to use.

    Thanks for the overview, thanks to you I'll be transferring to Tahoma easier... and also, Light Theme huh?, what an absolute mad lad. I personally prefer it to be dark theme if I'm working on an animation for hours on end, you're right that the Light Theme is reminiscent of Flash Animation Software. I applaud your retina for not immediately combusting upon switching to Light Theme, keep up the good work!

  • @WDZG
    @WDZG 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm gonna be honest, this was way better than Opentoonz, no constant crashing, a cleaner setup, and a friendlier User Interface overall.
    But I do have one problem so far, whenever my PC updates, I lose all of my files for some reason, I dunno if it's a thing from my end or not, but I wish there's a way I can contact the creator about this, cause I genuinely love this app, just not fond of losing projects or the app everytime I get updates.

      @@catsapp - That's fine. Simply open up the preferences, from the File menu, and in the Drawing section, change the default level type to vector. Then when you next click to start a new level, Vector will be chosen.
      Alternatively, you can show the timeline toolbar (Right click on a column header and choose: Toggle Xsheet Toolbar). Then you'll have a toolbar with a button to create each of the 3 level types - and some other useful buttons.
