Loooooooove Apocalyptica, The Rasmus (Lauri Ylönen's band, higher voice) and HIM (Ville Valo's band, lower voice). They are what got me OBSESSED with Finnish bands back in 2004. So much awesome music from that country!
Fun fact:
You know Finland is the country with more metal bands per cápita? Followed by Sweeden and Norway.

The guy with the lower voice is Ville Valo, the lead singer of the "love metal" band HIM - a rather famous band in the late 90s - early 2000. Popular songs include Join me in death and The funeral of hearts.
The other guy, Lauri, is the lead singer of the band The Rasmus who around the same time released hits like In the shadow and F-f-f-falling.
I haven't listened to enough Apocalyptica to know which of their newer songs are the best. But I really like their early songs (mostly covers) where it was 100% cellos and thus more original imho. For example their own Harmageddon and their covers of Metallica's Nothing else matters, Enter sandman and The unforgiven.
Finnish metal makes me happy ❤️
Like Nightwish & Poets of the Fall, they are just one more reason why Finland has been one of the happiest countries in the world for a long time & since 2018 four years (2018 - 2021) in a row.

Ville Valo of "HIM" is a must-see 😉👌 "Join me" or "Gone with the sin" had been huge back in the days. He also did a great cover of "Summer wine" with Natalia Avelon!
"The Rasmus" had some big hits, too ("In the shadows"). I believe they are cousins but I'm not 100% sure about this.

Great collaboration. Their voices complete each other. Lauri hits so darn high and Ville can sing from low notes to high notes. Ville has incredible and enormous voice range. Btw, Ville is the familiar one. He was a singer, composer and songwriter for a band called HIM.

Y’all should reaction to HIM “for you” or “it’s all tears” live at overdrive 1998, “for you” live at jyrki 1998 is also amazing an more acoustic focused. Those Really show how good Ville Valo was as a vocalist in his prime. One of the best vocalists of his era and gets no attention by TH-camrs it’s a bummer. HIM is one of the most famous Finnish bands of all time, anyway great reaction guys
The lower voice belongs to Ville Valo from gothic band HIM. Join Me in Death is one of their song.
Higher voice has Lauri Ylönen from Rasmus. In the Shadows is one of biggest hits
The Verve with Bitter Sweet Symphony, the great song with multiple cello play from this Finnish band makes it complete.

Oh my goodness I felt like I had been stabbed through the heart when you said you had never heard of Ville Valo! Ville has a 5 1/2 octave range- only like 20 people In the world are able to do that (Listen to HIM's 'It's All Tears' for an example). I know how much you love Chris Harms' voice (looking at you Ginger) you should really listen to HIM, (Gone With the Sin and Join Me in Death are awesome) do a reaction and make us Himsters happy! I think you can tell by the comments here they have quite a cult like following. 😍

Cannot help myself, but just got to say; hail and bow to Finnish bands.. Bit self centered being a Finn myself, but damn we have a lot of great bands. Even if we are a small country with only about 5.5milj ppl - less than in a large European city.
I would be proud too...I'm from Slovakia, so we have about the same number of people...but we for sure do not have other things that Finland does have hah.
Finland has a crazy awesome number of metal bands. Highest percentage in the world! And also the best - HIM and 69 Eyes top my list!

Everybody says that Ville Valo sounds like a cello in this song. He was the singer of HIM which had lots of great songs and Ville Valo has created some new songs recently. He's currently using artist name "VV": th-cam.com/channels/wvanyA-9wbXAVkfgRfOWCA.html (no real videos yet, though, only three new songs with static image as the video).
Lower voice is the lead singer of the band “HIM” the other one is from “ the Rasmus” path #2 with vocals version is pretty good too. You 2 are a lovely couple , are you Pisces and taurous by chance ? You give off those vibes lol 😂
Always loved Apocalyptically, great to see a band of cellos be heavy metal. That being said I would still like to see you guys do Vola, These Black Claws! I think you two will really like them. Please check them out.

I myself am quite biased towards HIM, since I still have a crush on Ville Valo's voice (can you blame me, though, that baritone is gorgeous). It's All Tears if you want crazy range changes, Gone With the Sin for the lovely melancholic atmosphere, Join Me because it's one of their most known songs (also the one that made me discover the band haha), When Love Starts to Die (aka one of my favourite from the band, ever, so of course I had to recommend), Wings of a Butterfly... Ok I'll end it here. They have quite the catalogue. A pity they separated, but it was for the best.
Oh yeah! And there's a show from 2019? Last year? Where Ville performed When Love and Death Embrace (a HIM song) with Agents. Lovely version.

Finally! Thank you! He is very familiar! Ville Valo from HIM, one of the most famous Finnish bands all over the world at the end of 90s to 2003 I think. Saw them live first time in 1996. Lauri Ylonen is from the band Rasmus. Very famous also all over. This was time before drums so 4 cellos only. Apoca and new Rasmus released a video couple weeks ago. I recommend "Not Strong Enough" and some heavier but very personal to Corey Taylor "I am not Jesus". With Till Lindeman from Rammstein or Sabaton feat. Apoca and vice versa. Apoca songs they are all gooood! By the way, have you heard "All Hietala Power Trio" with Marko, his son and his brother?!!!
Give HIM a bit more credit:') They released Dark Light in 2005 and it was the first Finnish album ever that sold enough in the US to get a gold certificate.

The singers are both the same person. One is older self that gave up on the love the younger still chases after.
