It was amazing to see how you kept your composure after the screw flew away! (If it was me, I would have to shoot the whole video again, lol) Another awesome video, my friend. 35mm is my favorite focal length, as it’s super versatile, but you already know that. You have a fantastic day as well, brother. Always waiting for your next one ☝️. Peace ☮️ and awesomeness 🥳
Love your content bro, keep it up! Because of your video’s (and Instagram) I got into buying my first leica lens ( 50 summicron-r from an auction) and I’m in love! I might try declicking soon :)
Kudos for taking on what is likely a technically challenging task for most of your viewers, Sjoerd. Am reminded of your watchmaker vid (was the watchmaker a relative?). Curtain hanger = cotter pin. Neat tool kit. Might have been more of an incentive if you mentioned cost comparison between DIY and sending out to a shop, IMO. What would it have cost to outsource? How many times have you done this process before? If I were doing anything similar I’d take a series of smartphone photos along the way, step by step to help recover from errors. Sproing -- where did that one go? When working w/such small parts, I place them on tape to help them from drifting off. Long Johns shirt too casual, IMO.😁 Good thing the dog was not around to mess with dropped small parts.😁 Kidding aside, have you ever considered doing pro hand modeling work? Cheers!

Awesome dude!! That is great to hear
You are smart and brave. This kind of stuff would give me anxiety if I tried it. Update: you’re amazing, dude! I’m impressed.
Thanks a lot dude. Quite some compliments right here, ha! Cheers
Scary 😧🌹
very well put together! luv it! do you know any major differences between your mod vs rehoused ones?
Rehouse get a completely new housing which makes the life of these lenses endless. Definitely recommend it if you can earn that back :-)
Well done man, I like this kind of video’s.
Zoon van z’n vader he!

Cheers Paul! Outsourcing is around 200/250€! Quite expensive. Done this 6 times before!
Ive done one hand modeling job for Dutch beer lol😂
any suggestions on where to find the metal curtain hangers you used?
A spot to buy building materials!
Damn I have the Summicron. I’ve got the 19v2 which killed me, but I really want the 35,50,80 lux
Mannnn, I can imagine…
🤟
I just stripped one of the screws on my contax zeiss today, so I am screwed, Mr, Jude Law.
You can still fix it mate. Make it hot using soldering iron, use locktite and a screwdriver (00) and try again.
@@SjoerdWess Thanks man! I’ll give it a try!
Like this one!
Cheers mate!
Seriously I love your content very much. Then you got me into Leica stuff, what can I say.
Thanks a lot mate

@@SjoerdWessDanke, Du machst tolle Videos!
Haha danke schon!🙏🏼🙏🏼
Stop destroying lenses. Leica SLR users actually need these lenses since there is no alternative for them
Dude, I guess the filmmaking community used 90% of these lenses these days.
