    I've been watching car vids on youtube since like 2007. When I say you have a good format I mean that! Que your channel is slept on but you keep up the crazy consistency! I watched your Honda and Acura videos a lot while car shopping and ended up choosing Lexus haha. Mostly cause I can't afford a type S but you know the deal....the Lexus hybird feel blew me away with all the extra torque.
    Bigups yourself Que from a fellow Michigan dude

      I really appreciate you! I’ve been thinking about making the videos shorter but it’s always so much I want to say. I don’t blame you for choosing the hybrid. You see the Alfa review I did. I have a Prius now and I’m blown away.

    Sales manager here at a Honda dealership… the oil change thing isn’t so much on the dealer but on Honda/Acura corporate more so. Honda now actually won’t reimburse dealers for the oil change unless we provide proof that the wrench light in the dash was on. I feel like they didn’t start heavily enforcing that until ‘24 models came out. But nonetheless, great video. Have an MDX S and am seriously considering the ITS. While the M has all the features I could ever want, it feels like I’m dying inside from lack of driver engagement lol

    • @QueTheChaotic
      @QueTheChaotic  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your input. The MDX hides its weight extremely well. The ITS is a featherweight and has naturally fantastic handling. Its just no where near as premium

    What i noticed on my its is that in the snow, you can understeer in corners let go of the throttle a little and the rear kicks out. Its a fun car.

    Hey Que,
    I got my first ITS oil change at 6500 miles.. I don’t remember what the oil life percentage was but the dealer changed the oil without any issues.. I will monitor my situation and let you know what happens at my next oil change.. Keep the videos coming!!!👊🏾💯

    I have the same issue with the “ complementary” 2 year maintenance with my Type R. The dealership won’t do it unless 15% on MM. I didn’t reach 15% until 10,200 miles. There is NO WAY I’m going to run 10,000 mile oil change intervals. I like to change my own oil and I did not reset my MM so when I did go in for my first “free” oil change it was actually my third oil change.

    • @QueTheChaotic
      @QueTheChaotic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly correct five thousand miles

  • @confused86996
    @confused86996 ปีที่แล้ว

    When I was a young man going to college I bought my first car. It was a 1969 beetle that had most of the floor boards rusted it out. And so during the winter I would put wet towels in there and they would freeze. Otherwise I would be looking at the concrete as I was driving. I did things on that car like oil changes. Spark plugs and distributor cap. And I even did a starter motor on that car. Which brings me to my point that we are very privileged to have this car and my car is
    Four months old and I have 4100 miles on it. I also have an MDX type S I bought the extra service on the Integra, which was $6500. So oil changes are included for a period of time. But otherwise I would absolutely change my oil right away. And on My MDX I change my oil every 5000 miles regardless. It's a Turbo based engine and the oil should be changed on a continual basis regardless of what anyone says. Just a level of appreciation for such a beautiful car. It's worth investing the money in oil changes for $80. Go ahead and do it it's a right decision.

  • @ZWortek
    @ZWortek 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Would definitely do max 5000 miles or 6 months and that's fine. With modern DI turbo engines I like 3000-5000 miles just to try and make sure the internals stay as clean and as protected as possible. Pennzoil ultra platinum is reasonably priced and maintains its visocity and other properties very well. Understandable situation with the free maintenance and weather issues though.

  • @BLUPRINT1LE
    @BLUPRINT1LE ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Dang it doesn’t seem like you had this car for 6 months that’s crazy! That’s very interesting the dealership trying to skimp out on free oil change and risk their product to getting damaged. I guess each company has their own way of cutting cost. Overall great video I agree with you about the car being a “do it all” because it’s definitely does it well. Blackwing would be a fun car secondary car because the gas and insurance will be higher than the teggy I assume

    There is no mileage in the owners manual. It goes by the maintenance minder system,. 15%-0%, Acura/Honda Will cover the service when the vehicle displays it needs service not from mileage. The maintenance minder can go as high as 10,000 miles between oil changes. I'm very familiar with Honda/Acura's Maintenance minder system. You can also disconnect the battery and hook it up and the maintenance minder system will go to 15% when all memory is wiped. This may trigger all safety system warnings due to battery voltage not being monitored. You can typically reset that by driving around a parking lot for a little.

  • @lionary

    Nice video and on point. CT4-V BW is the only other competitive option, and while it's a great car for sure, as you said it's significantly heavier and does not have the practicality of the ITS, plus its exterior looks a bit dated. And looking around, don't see many selling at a price near the ITS. The ITS also got the seal of approval from The Car Care Nut, as far as ease of working on the car, quality and likely reliability! :-)

  • @RaceCarFriends
    @RaceCarFriends ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Yeah it's crazy how weird dealerships get when it comes to getting the oil changed on these cars, I went to Honda twice and they was like "nooo don't do an oil change please!!!" Lol they told me that there's some lubricant that's in there and it needs to run it's full course before doing the first oil change, then they went off on me about taking it elsewhere to get it done lol man I'm actually working on a whole video about that as we speak!

    Nice vid as always Que. if you can change your oil yourself do it. It’s not so hard but I can understand that it’s not nice doing it in the cold. Filters are so cheap from Honda or Acura dealers. And you can buy some very good oil on sale almost anywhere. .

    I haven't really noticed the seat as uncomfortable. I'll have a better idea in April when I head over to Sandusky for the Solar Eclipse. I felt disappointed with the one in 2017 because it was 80% totality in West Michigan. This time totality is supposed to be 90% in West Michigan, but I still want the full experience. I figured that Sandusky would be good because they have a massive parking lot. I don't know for sure if the parking lot will be blocked off or not due to the park being closed, but I hope it will be open. Anyway, it's like a 3 hour drive, so I will definitely have a good idea on how uncomfortable the seats are after that trip.
