So, having another E38, and a rare Aplina at that? I can't wait! It's a bit of a shame about the atrocities this car has suffered through, but maybe because of that it has ended in your hands!
Sreten, if the LPG system is properly dimensioned for the car and the filters have been changed regularly, that is a very reliable, clean and for the engine very good way to use it! Engines that are run on LPG often have next to zero carbon deposits inside, you won't get filthy black engine oil out of most after a standard interval, because they burn much cleaner and run very good - if the installation was done well. And there are no downsides power-wise or anything to run a car on LPG. On the contrary, if you size the system large enough so that it has enough flow (and in some engine-cases additional lubrication systems, Flashlube and so on), you can even run a tuned turbo engine on LPG and you'll be fine for the next 200-300.000km. Don't dismiss something out of the box because you haven't experienced it firsthand.

My father had an E38 740i in white back in the 90s. Lowered with 4 end pipes and alpina wheels. It was quite the looker. On the back seat of that car I experienced goosebumps from an engine sound for the first time in my life while we were hammering down the autobahn, the V8 screaming for dear life. And my love for BMW began. I remember being fascinated by the navigation system. I couldn't understand how the car was able the lead us all the 1000km to our vacation destination in italy. Of course, but as a first-production 7er, this was the fastest one when it came out in 1980 for all markets. SA 745i with M88 came in 1984. Super cool car, would love to get my hands on one, one day!

When a man that literally rebuilt an Alpina twice buys another Alpina you know he's a real masochist. Looking forward to you spending 300$ on a bracket. Love the videos!!
LPG conversion is actually somewhat popular in germany für old mercs and bmws from the 90s. And this v12 is drinking way more than the classic inline 6 bmws used to come with..

We don't use LPG here, CNG is used instead, and sadly, it's even worse than LPG since it makes you suffer with the power loss generated. Meanwhile, LPG is known to perform like a higher octane fuel, being not so undesirable.
Early LPG systems used to literally chew engines apart. I know someone who had one installed in his personal car and in a year after he had it installed (in the early days) it gave the engine the clap, AKA piston slap.
I personally find the LPG conversion pretty amazing. Imagine the range you can get and if you drive it daily why not save some money over time. It is still a freaking Alpina B12!!!
because this car is investment. in 10 years it will probably cost >1mln euro so why not to save it? if you need a fast daily car with big milage just buy g30 530d and it will be way faster than this one
6:50 No way, it looks like it was professionally installed, so there won't be any shavings inside the engine. This car was begging for someone like you who will turn it to its former glory without the gas!
What a coincidence, I was literally shopping around looking for a B12 6.0 yesterday and talking with a friend about this endeavor, and here you are with a new video on the exact car I was looking for! Alas, I'll need to keep my eyes peeled before someone snatches up the next one. Will be closely following this restoration!
A BMW dealership called "Cuntz" - there's a joke from the 90s there somewhere (you know, back in the day, before we all agreed Audi's were the real enemy).
My understanding is that the designer combined the two inline sixes from 325i and created the M70 engine. Mercedes followed suit and created the M120 engine combining two M103 engines. You can make it into a hydrogen engine. Exactly like the BMW design.
Cant wait to see the next episods.. I worked at the Dingolfing Plant at this modell at the doors departement. Till the E65 the cars were build by engeneers with the target to build even better cars... Later merchands take over and the only target was to build ceaper and more ceap.. My first car (and only car) was a E38 735i. Although it was not the V12, its v8 had a magic sound. It was royal red metallic with the same interior as your alphina. The double glass made it a very quit car to drive. I had to sell it because of the cost (I was a student at that time), but I’ dreaming to have another E38 in my life in the future. I have to move out of Amsterdam because of the climate rules here for cars, but I will if I can drive a E38. What a dream car is this Alphine. Looking forward to your videos about this car!

As an American it would make my year to go to an actual dealership called “Cuntz”
Cammisa would have pissed himself if he were there live with you
Camissa is a Tesla simp.
Love the adjust hair before starting the car and lip balm :D :D :D
I’m sooo excited for this project, also it’s crazy that the dealer had all the tools to measure paint thickness and other things
I personally find the LPG conversion pretty amazing. Imagine the range you can get and if you drive it daily why not save some money over time. It is still a freaking Alpina B12!!!
It's actually mind bending, if you care about fuel economy, don't buy a 6 litre V12.
brooooooooo...that's McDonalds 😖😖
@@Indicant He said range, the only thing it is good for in 2025.
@@cccpkingu and what is range genius?
because this car is investment. in 10 years it will probably cost >1mln euro so why not to save it? if you need a fast daily car with big milage just buy g30 530d and it will be way faster than this one
at 30:15 you look really crazy but that is what we love ❤❤
That beautiful Alpina was crying for help like a stray dog. So glad you took care of it. For sure it will be a top dog!
I wonder if the dealership does window stickers?
Wonder if we could do a group order of stickers.
My understanding is that the designer combined the two inline sixes from 325i and created the M70 engine. Mercedes followed suit and created the M120 engine combining two M103 engines.
You can make it into a hydrogen engine. Exactly like the BMW design.
If there was anyone to bring this beauty back. It is you. I cannot wait for the restoration.
Najbolji intro do sad 😂😂😂
Jealous , but I will still keep my 1975 E3 , 3.0s sedan thanks...I am the 2nd owner of my car and he has been with me since 1983
I had an LPG car years ago runs clean when the gas runs low you change to gas with a switch.
man this video was wholesome as hell. love to see people excited over cars!
That's a beautiful car there's a lot of work to bring it up to your standard but we all can't wait for the videos ❤
Cant wait to see the
next episods.. I worked at the Dingolfing Plant at this modell at the doors departement. Till the E65 the cars were build by engeneers with the target to build even better cars... Later merchands take over and the only target was to build ceaper and more ceap.. Sad but the way it is till today😢
E65 is a f...piece of crap,even an E60 is way better,my opinion !!!
@@mariusromania442 i have e65 with m57n2 engine and I love this car. very relliable and comfortable. in 2024 I did trips to turkey marmaris and valencia spain without a single issue
Top man Fabian, he knew exactly who needed that motor, and you'll turn it back around, hopefully without too many nightmares and sleepless nights.
"Sorry about that! Im not crazy"
"We know"
😆
This channel keeps getting better and better! Keep up the good work and im looking forward to seeing this beast come back to it's former glory!
Fabian! Thanks so much for giving Sreten so much happiness, and giving us a new project for Sreten to work on!!!
I have been watching your channel for years and have never commented but this one is really a nice find!. My father had the same spec but non alpina from BMW. Still don’t know why he sold it. I think this is the most beautiful sedan ever built. Congrats! On owing a true alpina unicorn 👏👏👏
that cinematic aspect ratio change... looking forward for whole series. keep up the good work and as always, very nice content you make
A car dealer that tells you where the rust is on a car they are selling. Amazing!
Congrats Sreten, I can't wait to watch this beauty getting the attention it deserves!
Loved your enthusiasm for this vehicle, looking forward to all the content
I also agree this is an absolute gem of a car, love the styling - one of the most gorgeous full sized sedans ever built hands down.
This gentleman is the car salesman I prefer to work with-trustworthy and reliable.
Nice one, Sreten! It is going to be a hell of a journey with this one! Can't wait for it!
What a car!! You just bought THE most classy Beemer in my book!! Can't wait to see what you do to it!!
Had to be purchased, there is NO other option, Sreten is doing (the BMW) gods work! Greetings from Australia!
Propane is awesome!! Burns cleaner, oil stays cleaner, could run it at higher compression ratio
Deal of the year and have good LPG!!😍
My first car (and only car) was a E38 735i. Although it was not the V12, its v8 had a magic sound. It was royal red metallic with the same interior as your alphina. The double glass made it a very quit car to drive. I had to sell it because of the cost (I was a student at that time), but I’ dreaming to have another E38 in my life in the future. I have to move out of Amsterdam because of the climate rules here for cars, but I will if I can drive a E38. What a dream car is this Alphine. Looking forward to your videos about this car!
You and I are both very excited to see and renovate such a beautiful car.
Another great episode excited to watch this. Normally fowl language isn’t a problem on this channel and one reason it is one of my favorites, your content is too amazing to tarnish with a few misplaced words. Keep up the great work!
Oh, God! I remembered when you got so many troubles with Alphina engine before! But I am okay as long as you are happy just like a child at the candy store. And I can totally understand how you feel when you saw one of your dream car. Make it happens one more time! I am looking forward to see your build!
Fun fact, the biggest the engine, the more you save on fuel with LPG 😂
I love the interior, great find!
For those who doesn't know, in order to buy this car in this shape and with many unknown risks comes with it, Your Balls has to be bigger and heavier than that v12...
i can't wait for many awesome episodes to come. Sreten you are the one bro, you are the man:)
