    Thank you so much connie for this video my mind is cluttered and my house is 80% cluttered but I’m working on it I’m feeling very overwhelmed and anxiety about it but at least I’ve woken up and seen the light to get organised

    Talking to myself has helped me immensely over the years and it comes so naturally, like my body taking my mind by the hand and showing it the path - yet you are the first person I have ever heard recommend it! Great video 😊

    Unbelievable, somebody like me! I talk to myself as well. About problem-solving and more, since childhood. When you said that you are your own best friend, I got goosebumps. That's my sentence, this is what I tell my husband for years. Since he "caught" me talking to myself numerous times. I just told him there are of me out there. We're both laughing. 😄🥰

    A lovely video. I also find doing a “brain dump” of all thoughts, rational or not, is helpful to clear the clutter and start organizing the jumble in my head, determine the real issue, and then the best way to move forward.

    Yes some mental declutter would serve lots of us! My mind is so heavy at times, I feel like I need to make more room for some lighter thoughts, for some more positivity so i can focus on my projects and be more productive. Some unnecessary thoughts really drain all my energy and that's not healthy! xx

    Timely and as always appreciated snippet of motivational insight. It is lovely to consider the opportunity to talk aloud to ourselves with earbuds in so we can plug out the external chaos and not be distracted with noise stimuli. Great ideas!

    I really appreciate you sharing your experiences. I can completely relate to all you are sharing. Writing things down when overwhelmed and just allowing it to just flow with no pressure or restrictions. Yes! And the being my own best friend! I do that a lot having that dialogue with myself. I don’t even care if people hear me when I’m outside. It’s just keeps me grounded in order and brings about an accomplished feeling and allows my creativity to run wild. I love just being outside taking in the cool morning air and communing with nature. It helps to relax and calm … and brings about peace and clarity.

    I am also gonna comment on talking to myself like other lady did !! Lol.
    I 1stly accidentally discovered at a supermarket in Tokyo that if you talk to yourself what you're looking for ,it only took a couple of minutes to find the item vs silently ,then took forever ,or never !!! Lol Guess what !? The scientists are now saying that is true !!! 👍 Lol.😆I was 19 ,or 20 looking for a white pepper ,I believe !!
    Also ,I started practicing phrases to defend myself as I was severely bullied at my jr.high & met so ~many perverts in my life !! Including my own uncles !! I started to use it to make myself realize something / solutions & clear my mind & things up !! 1st to myself !! Then ,used that against 'em ,they started mumbling, no one could be articulate as me ,or spot on like me !! Lol.So I KNOW what you mean !! Lol. It's totally o.k. as long as you don't change your voice when you answer to yourself as the 3rd person !! 🤣😅
    I am glad to know that many do talk to themselves !! Lol.Thank you for this wonderful video !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💕💞

    I feel I have developed adult ADD. Maybe I have always had it but it is getting worse especially since having a smart phone and even more so since being home for the past 2 years. My environment is chaos of stuff, clutter, disorganized. I have been working slowly the past 2 years to change things up but I am 1 of 4 who live in this house. If I am the one who cares about the organization but don't have the skills or the will because what I do gets undone by the people I live with and it goes unotice when I do make headway on things. I'm at a point where my brain is saying that's it I quit.
    Living in a world of lack is hard. Being out-of work for 2 years is hard, not knowing where we stand financially is extreemly hard and taxing on my mind. We have a joint account and seeing is get to below 0 before the next deposit goes in is not a good feeling or way to live. With cost of gas and food going up so fast. I hear the voice in my head say "You can no longer afford to live in this world." This is a sad way to live. If I'm feeling this way in my head I know I'm not the only one. I keep telling myself there has to be a better way.

      Hi Sara, Thank you for sharing your story with us. Sounds like you have many challenges in your life today. I'm sorry, that must be hard. I understand living with others who are not "on board" with your vision. Perhaps, a small way to find is to carve out an area of our home that is only for you. A sanctuary of sorts. Maybe your bedroom, an attic, a space on a patio or even a reading/meditation corner. Having a quiet, clean and organized space of your own to retreat to can be very calming.

I do have a front porch which I love and can get out there more with the nice weather, my bedroom is feeling more at peace lately and I have been working to organize my living room and I have applied for a job with my new resume. I have an interview tomorrow! Never give up even when somedays are tough and feel bleak. Tomorrow is always another day that can change for the better. Thanks again for being here in this space where people can share thoughts that they can't everywhere.

Yes I had orientation day on Tuesday and two days on line self directed training and gobin next Tuesday for specialized training and 3 days on job training and they already want to give me work on the 27th. It's jeering me busy and active and out of my house throughout the day when a few days that week. I am thrilled they chose me to trust. It's a good feeling. I'm ready for this and I really needed the boost to show I can go after something and achieve it. If I hadn't I would never know.

    This video was extremely helpful! Thank you. My mind does feel rather cluttered & I think Morning Pages is a wonderful idea. I've heard of that before but this time, I want to actually try it. (My mornings are very busy though so I may have to call mine Lunchtime Pages or Night Pages. Lol.)

    Hi Connie. I like the things you have to say. In this video you delivered the topic differently. You had little “acting out vignettes” while I liked the ones with you showing Brian mapping or bullet points, I found some of the others distracting and it felt “jumpy” to me. I like the previous style of you just talking more casually, like we are chatting in a room. I hope I’m explaining myself carefully without offending you. I really enjoy your content and calm style.

    Connie,
    Right now I have that constant chatter in my mind. I went for my mammogram and ultrasound that I normally do and I’ve had nodules or benign masses for over 30 years, but in my last 2 exams they’ve been growing and Dr recommended a biopsy of both breasts. I really felt like I was having a bad dream when dr told me.
    Now I’m waiting for my appt for my biopsies and I can’t get the thoughts or chatter of how am I going to go through this, if he happens to be something bad, I can’t not even say the word.
    I need to be able to be calm and really hear my inner voice, but my mind is bombarding me with so many thoughts I can’t concentrate.
    Hopefully I can resume my journaling like you said put some of my worries on paper and that might help.
    Thank you for always making feel hopeful and offering new tools.

      Hey Blanca! Im so sorry to hear you go through an anxious situation right now. I am a cancer researcher and I can assure you timely screening, which I gather you have been doing, and right diagnosis goes a long way in treatment of any disorder! Giving you a more practical insight into this condition, there are plenty options for not just management but complete cure of tumors. Have faith in science and , certainly, nature's ability to heal. I wish you both mental and physical health and peace

I’ve always kept up with my yearly or every 6 months diagnostic mammo and I always do ultrasound after , my concern is my age 69 I read elderly women have poor outcomes, but I am pretty healthy, I don’t take any meds, I don’t drink or smoke and I eat pretty clean and healthy so I hope that’s on my favor. Talking to someone with your background is a great resource, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

      Oh sweet Blanca, My heart goes out to you. Waiting on medical news can be overwhelming and suffocate our thoughts. Our minds can take us down a rabbit hole filled with fear. Breathe... let go of your worries, and trust that all will be well. Journaling can help get the worry out of your mind. Give yourself the gift of self-care this week. Do things that bring you joy and peace. Nurture your spirit and fill your emotional bucket. Ask yourself, "What can I do right now to feel good?"
      Call a friend
      Walk in nature
      Watch a funny movie
      Enjoy a slice of cake
      Focus on the little things that bring you joy.
