    I'm convinced Tama is the most user-friendly drum company, so many (innovation regarding) features to every product so that it really acts how you want it to. It's just crazy how nice Tama is

      That shouldn’t be enough man...you have to try pedals out. The iron cobras are amazing but you have to find what works for you. Never play something just because a player you like uses it.

    I just got mine and played on them a little tonight and I'll say, without a doubt the best pedals I've ever put my feet to.

    I was surprised by the improved feel and balans of the new iron cobra. I love it! Nice to see Sput on there :)

      Hi, hope you can answer my questions.
      I'm someone who felt really comfortable with the previous cobra generation, the feel when I played it, was very, very light.
      If a Tama Pedal feels light when you play it, how is the new generation compared to the previous?
      Lighter, same, heavier?

    • @simonvidlund4077
      @simonvidlund4077 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Rosalie Tabal Hmm. So most people would actually say that the old iron cobra was quite heavy and clumsy in the feel compared to other pedals.. But even though you think the old one is light I think you will like the new one. It just feels better. better response and a tiny bit lighter in feel in my opinion. but the power that the ironcobra is known for is of course the same. feels pretty much like the old one just improved a lot on all areas.

    I'm new to drumming and had wanted to get the double pedal IC Jr's, aka 300 series, but found a 2nd-hand Rolling Glide 900 and oh my what an improvement over the stock Yamaha single pedal, single chain. It was the same price, so I went with the 900, even though I've only been playing like a week or so lol.

    • @SJC9726

      @@m.iqbal_akbar the dyna sync felt fantastic as a single pedal, lot of power and great feel. I felt that I couldn't get the slave pedal to feel close to the main pedal so that was a struggle. Iron cobras felt great out of the box, turned the tensioj up slightly and theyrr perfect

    Hey TAMA, hope you redesign the Vari-Pitch Beater Holder. that is the only part of the pedal that breaks when you over tighten it... you could simply put a hinge on
    that Vari-Pitch Beater Holder and a groove inside the ring to make it grip... this is the only reason why I'm staying away with Tama Pedals, cause I broke that part before...

  • @glenwolfe8437
    @glenwolfe8437 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just one question. Why isn't the hoop clamp centered under the pedal? It's offset right of center so I can't get my beaters centered on the bass drum. If you guys make this part after the fact I would buy it.

    • @glenwolfe8437
      @glenwolfe8437 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have moved the beater position on my double pedal to the right to compensate and I have to tell you this pedal is amazing! The beaters now hit more in the center of the drum. The quickness, smoothness and feel of this pedal is better than any other I've tried.

    • @kailiw.8462
      @kailiw.8462 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It prevents the footboard from hitting the wingnut that tightens the clamp.

    • @1manrcvids286
      @1manrcvids286 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kailiw.8462 I since switched to the pearl eliminator redline. Much faster, controlled and better feel imo. They have a side hoop clamp so the beaters hit where they should out of the box.

    • @joewalsh7868
      @joewalsh7868 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My advice would be to save up your money a little bit more and get into a slightly higher price point of pedals. That way you'll have a pedal that will last for longer and will feel smoother, as well as having more adjustability options. Also I would recommend looking into buying used. I got a speed cobra 910 single for 80 dollars on eBay, and I don't think I'll ever need anything else.

    • @paulgonzales1829
      @paulgonzales1829 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got the P-930 pedal too but I still prefered my stock pearl pedal which surprisingly is a downgrade. It just felt lighter and organic.
      I overlooked 3 things.
      Beater weight (The duobeater was heavy so the pedal felt more powerful at the same time heavier.)
      Footboard weight (the p930 footboard looks more rugged but its a bit heavier than a pearl roadshow pedal). The P930 longboard style doesn't suit my feet. It felt sluggish and heavy. I'm a short dude btw 5'4"
      Its kinda hard to adjust to but sometimes it feels good but it seems my feet get tired faster compared before. I also removed the orange cam because linear just felt more natural.
      Conclusion: Couldve just got the Pearl p2000c/redline so it would be more identical to my previous pedal which was a shortboard.

    Those beaters don't look practical..Smaller surface area means less attack, warmth, and low end.. Tama had it nailed with their original IC beaters.. Everyone i spoke to at my local drum shop says that customers that have purchased this pedal for it's latest features, end up removing the new beaters and using their old ones..

    I have this pedal (Iron Cobra 200), but assembly is very difficult. Instructions Tama provides is not very sufficient, and the square bolts will not budge with a tuning key as the manual says they will. Connecting the connecting rod to the second pedal is also going to require additional equipment (i.e. Allen Wrench) to set the pedal up. Tama could've done a better job with set-up instructions than they did. Construction is great though.
