    Nice review. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the para clamp with the nut at the beginning caught my attention. I have a speed cobra 910 that's maybe a year or two old and that nut doesn't exist. It's a round disc now easily turned by hand. Also - if you want a KILLER MODIFICATION, try this. I installed the Pearl cam mount from an old Eliminator pedal I had. Fits the hexaganol Tama shaft perfectly! Added a strap drive from ACD and now I have the option to switch cams! Best combination ever! Total modification time - 15 minutes! In addition, if you're looking for some awesome beaters, 2 that are NOT in your reviews are the Ninja kick beater, which has a spring on the beater head - extremely fast! Another one I just got delivered today is the Flex Dynamic Beater, 70 grams. Also surprisingly fast, but comfortable to play due to the Flex shaft. You'll have no trouble finding their websites or some TH-cam vids. Cheers!

      The original Tama nut is not good. I always change it. Thank you for watching and for your recommendations. I'll be working on a 2nd video of bass drum beaters. I will include these ones, Ninja kick beater & Flex Dynamic Beater. Don't forget to subscribe it really really appreciate your words and help.

      @francisfernandezcappola Just letting you know I have tried them both. The Ninja a few months ago and flex beater about a month ago. Ninja wins for me. It's very quick. The Flex is nice, but the actual felt beater head is so big that it slows it down. The inventor is currently offering different beater head shapes and sizes that can be screwed on to the existing shaft.

    The heel plate hinge on the speed cobras wiggle a lot. I did not check it when I first bought them but noticed it was moving around within a week. Maybe they are like that brand new. If you move the foot board and look at the hinge inside the side of the heel plate you can see it moving. Not really that noisy but seems like that could have been made better. With the trick drive shaft and DW control or air beaters. They are my favorite pedals. I still have DW 9002 with trick drive shaft and Control or Air beaters. Original DW beaters for heavier feeling. I prefer the standard 9002's over the XF. They are very solid. Also I have the DW MDD's double pedal but no matter how they are set the speed cobras and 9002 feel better and faster. I'm going to get the Dyna Sync double pedal and hope they feel familiar to the SC and if they don't have that heel plate movement they might be perfect. I don't think the build and tolerances standards are as good as DW but that's not always the better feeling and playing pedal. Maybe in 10 years but then I would get a new set? Anyway, Thanks for the video it's helpful.

    • @francisfernandezcappola
      @francisfernandezcappola  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Marc, Thank you for your enriching comment. I also have tried the DW 9000 and i honestly like it. The Dyna-Sync is a whole new level, because of the directdrive the hinge are more stable, and it's faster. If you have difficult to custom the pedal settings let me know. • @marc8vino
      @marc8vino 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@larrytate1657 I will have to get a set of the Yamaha's soon. I like the DW MDD's a lot. I just still play better on the chains. I played with the setting more and I had to tighten the springs all the way on the MDD's. I did get the Dyna Syncs as well. I had to loosen the Dyna Syncs almost all the way and move the under coil out as well. I really like both. I use them more than my Speed Cobras and 9000's. I will go back to the chain drives in about a month or two and see if I can really make the most of the direct drives. I will get the Yamaha Flyers soon and test those out as well. I had Demon drives but sold them about 10 years ago. I might give those another shot in the future.

    • @marc8vino
      @marc8vino 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I Subscribed. You did a great job with the demonstraion. I ended up getting the Dyna Syncs as well as a new set of Cobra's right after my first comment 8 months ago. They Dyna's are very nice. I had to loosen the spring tension and under coil as light as possible. The exact opposite of the DW MDD's. I had to tighten those as strong as possible. I still have the Speed Cobras and 9000's standard board. The Dynas are more stable but when playing the cobras I play about the same. I'm still playing with settings on the MDD's and Dyna's. The big difference between DW's and Tama's and Pearl's is the tension at the end of the stroke. Has anyone else felt the tension when the beater hits the head? Playing at full volume you don't really notice but medium to feathering you can tell. DW's have no tension on the head. Tama and Pearls it's as if the beater is too far away form the head or the hoop is too deep. I can't adjust it to prevent that. I play off the head 90% of the time and only burry the beater for that extra tension so it's not a deal breaker. When I'm playing hard and loud It can be helpful to have that bit of tension. Just an observation. I will get a Yamaha set and see if those are keepers. I had Demon Drives 10-12 years ago and maybe I give them another shot. They had even more tension that Tama's as the end of the stroke. I will see if I did not give them a chance. I play jazz to hard rock so I do need to play at all volumes and speed . I don't know if the Dyna's are really that much better than the speed cobras but I am getting to really like them. They are more stable and should hold up for a very, very long time. Thanks Again for your video

    Hi
    Can you use dyna as two singles? If i mount a paraclamp on the slave? I used to have two bass drums, but now I use one bassdrum. But I still use two singles sometimes.
    Kind Regards Mikael.

    • @francisfernandezcappola
      @francisfernandezcappola  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Mika, you can't because there's no coil on the slave pedal, so you can't separate the double pedal in two singles. About converting 2 singles in one double bass i also think it's not possible. Anyway the double pedal is awesome, I'm really happy with it.
