I tried this and it was great! Definitely boil the potatoes in water first, they will be much softer and tastier. TIP: Make sure your potatoes are dry and then coat them carefully.
Just followed this video and created some amazing roast potatoes! Definitely wise words to part boil the potatoes and to preheat oil in the air fryer! Thanks you!
I'm glad for you that your Nan made awesome roast potatoes because I always thought it was just my Nan who could make awesome roast potatoes 🤣🤣🤣. I'm going to try this as soon as I can Leigh and I'll let you know my results. Thanks for sharing this.
Great vid, you can't beat a proper done Roast Potato. May do a few later as a snack tonight & why not👍. Done your KFC Saturday........Banging👏👏 Keep em coming Leigh
just found your channel, and Ilike what you do, im new to airfrying , i love roast spuds and your right about rooster spuds the best for chips and roasties. have you done parsnips I love roast parsnips,
Great video Sir! They looked amazing, going to have to give this a go! Just a suggestion, not a criticism, when you drain your potatoes, put the colander back over the hot saucepan, off the heat and leave for 10-15 minutes, so they steam and dry out even more. Not my idea - full credit to Poppy Cooks. 🙂😋😎❤
For sure, just looking back at this video i can see at the time i was using this fancy odd shaped drainer that didn't sit on the pan. I have changed to a different one since but good spot. Hope yours come out nice.
@@letscookwithleigh You knew Man....when you selected supposedly the "best" one to eat...and then at the last minuted extended the agony by swapping to a different one instead! 🤣🤣
Good question. I believe the different modes just adjust the fan speed, reducing it with each step. I think i tested it out when i first got this air fryer and decided that full power was always the way to go.
What temperature did you use?

No temperature given!?
Instead of boiling it on the hob, could you steam the potatoes in the air fryer , then shake, coat with oil and roast ?
Excellent video and not a load of bull either I can see where I have gone wrong with my spuds ! ,Have subbed best wishes G
Thanks 👍

i have the ninja foodi ,pressure cook the potatoes for 2 mins, then crisp for 20 mins, yum roast potatoes
My nan never made me a roast dinner but she ate a few at mine.
I wonder if I can just pop a suitable tin tray into the air fryer rather than just using the basket? Thoughts anyone ( dunno see why not )
looks good, what degree did u use for the air fryer?
200c
More fakeaway videos please! 👍👍
Did the KFC one.. was banging!
They look great but when would you use the 'roast button?
Good question. I believe the different modes just adjust the fan speed, reducing it with each step. I think i tested it out when i first got this air fryer and decided that full power was always the way to go.
my airfryer has a tray thing with holes in it at the bottom (maybe to aid airflow??) should I remove that for this?
Look good, but don’t use frylight in the airfryer it takes the lining off the airfryer drawer.
It looked like Elf liked your potatoes too.
🎅
Mine has a basket so the oil doesn't sit in there.Would this still work
Line it with tin foil
You normally put the oil on the food. Leave the crisper in the air fryer. I don't preheat oil, but just preheat air fryer.
Can I ask what temp you used?
200c
che my cuzz shot for the video
new zealand
Roasted boiled potatoes
Have you got a roast beef recipe in the air fryer?
Sorry, not at the moment. Haven't bought a big piece of beef in a while.
