The a6700 has to be one of the best cameras today. I have one. It is amazing. What makes it so great is that it has a lot of the focusing and video technology straight from the A7R5. You can lock onto anything from small insects to people. Image quality is excellent. Enjoy your setup. Heard lots of good things about the Tamron, great lens maker. Just don't get carried away about collecting too many lenses.
While I am happy with my R6 and R6 MK II, I have wanted to try the a6700 + sigma 18-50 f2.8 for some time now. If I want to travel light, this is the ideal set up. Thanks for uploading this video !
I am a longtime professional portrait and headshot photographer and I used to shoot Canon full frame DSLR cameras for years. Because the heavy bodies were killing my arthritic neck (I’m 53, lol)…I switched to mirrorless in 2018 and I’ve never gone back. Now I shoot Fuji. I also have a Sony (ZV1) which is AMAZING. The a6700 is a great choice and your ace pro will be a PERFECT b-roll camera. And Tamron makes sweet lenses. Congrats. Question for you as a soon to be Ace pro user…I’m assuming the beginning of this was on the Ace pro, looked very sharp, what have you found is the perfect minimum focus for the Ace pro? PS: The a6700 looks amazing!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see more.
No the very beginning was shot on the Pixel 7 where I unbox the camera. The talking headshot is filmed on the Ace Pro though. I found that the best distance away is two feet, but in this video I was only 1 foot away from the Ace Pro and it looks fine. It also depends on the lighting though. I've found that if you have a heavy contrast of lots of light on the subject and not much light in the background (just like in this video), then the focusing distance seems to be even closer! But yeah, probably would say 1-2 feet is the golden distance for vlogging.
Some say, that the OSS of the Tamron create some jitters with with the IBIS. What is your experience regarding this? Or do you turn the OSS of the lens off?
Cool video bro! I just bought mine yesterday its still in the box haha. Waiting for my Tamaron 17-70 to come tomorrow so i wanna unbox it all together :’) Can i ask you where you got your film burn transitions and sound effects pls?
Hey thanks for commenting! I edited this video on capcut (because my computer isn't running Davinci very well) and the transitions were already on there for free. The sound effects are all free and can be found online :) Hope that helps.
My first camera system was Canon 80D with 18-55mm. After that I got the Insta360 Ace Pro and used that for a while. So my previous camera system was the Insta360 Ace Pro. (I still own it and will continue to use it)
@@stephendvorachek Just as its competitors, but bigger, heavier, more expensive and no interchangable lens cover. Its good vloging tool (with some close distance focusing problems) but mid action camera.
@m4rcin847 so it actually has a lot of things that it's competitors don't have as well of like the flip up screen, AI features, low light performance, and dynamic range. I guess it all depends on what you would use it for that would make it right for you.

I haven't looked into that much yet, but the only time I have found jitters and focusing issues is when the shutter speed is rly high.
Interesting… maybe we should try it out 😳

@@stephendvorachek I appreciate the reply bro best of luck in everything! Leaving a like!
I know the Tamron is great but it’s too bulky. I chose the Sigma 18-50 2.8 instead.
@@withoutpassid yeah it is a little heavy. And the sigma is a great option ☺️
I heard from a TH-cam's comment section that this Tamron has some color fringing or dark edges when in range of 60mm to 70mm
@@internationalbusiness5877 I will definitely check that out. I didn't see anything when I was trying it out but I'll look more carefully 👍

I got the camera body off of Ebay used for $1200. There are other good reliable online stores where you can get good warranties.
