i read blue flag and honestly i loved the ending it’s just pretty hit or miss personally i noticed some flaws in it but the manga is still 10/10 for me

Blue Flag is so good, I'm sure you will enjoy it. It made me feel so much!! All the feels! hahaha It's sad that so many people have been so harsh about the ending, but I don't think it matters at all, and I liked it a lot. It's hard to explain without giving anything away, but I think many people confused this manga with a shojo when it's in fact a shonen and it revolves more around friendship than it does romance X'DD

Woah that eyeshield volume 1 is a good find! Those are selling for $50+ on eBay rn cause it’s been out of stock for awhile. Also love the arslan pick ups. I don’t see it in a lot of peoples collection and idk why, I loved it so much.
Oh really? I didn't know it was hard to find (this copy is super yellow and beat up though i will probably seek out a better copy if i end up liking it) and i've heard a couple people talk about arslan and i'm excited to read it so thanks for the insight :)

Cool haul! I did the same thing with Arslan. Picked it up simply cos I loved Arakawa's other works- really enjoyed what I've read so far. As for Eyeshield it's nice to see it in random hauls, one of my faves growing up.

I've been buying Yowamushi Pedal used when I can find them because of your recommendation. Volume 1 had me hook line and sinker

Literally just finished Blue Flag earlier today and the ending was rushed but I loved all the characters (which is rare) so I think its def worth the read

What an awesome variety of pick ups! :) That's so sad to hear about Blue Flag, but I agree with you, even if the ending falls flat I have really enjoyed the ride to get there so it's worth it haha I have never read a light novel before, but I think Classroom of the Elite would be my first one if I got one! I've only heard great things about it haha

The classroom of the elite is one of the most INSANE animes and the light novels and anime are very diffrent with diffrent female protagonist.But the anime is incredible

I'm trying to collect Banana Fish but its a struggle lol. Like the volumes can't all be out of print because all of mine are new (or at least look new) but they're all out of stock and really expensive 😫
i ended up ordering the rest on rightstuf even though they are out of stock and i'm not expecting to get them anytime soon tbh so maybe i'll finish the anime while i wait lol
@@tsukkinotes I wish I could order from Rightstuf but the shipping to my country is so expensive... I would definitely recommend the anime though if you're fine with all the trigger warnings bc its one of my favourites ^^

The ending to Blue Flag is nowhere near as bad as people say it is. I actually liked it a lot.

@@tonireadsmanga thank you! i've noticed the only copies of eyeshield i see in general are all used i didn't realize it was a bit of a harder series to find
@@tsukkinotes The really difficult ones are usually just 1, 3, and 26. 26 is pretty much impossible to find, but I got a used copy of volume 3 for really cheap on Amazon before I bought the whole series from somebody. The rest of the volumes shouldn’t be too difficult to find on Right Stuf or other sites from what I can tell.
Amazon do be coming clutch, with one day shipping and returns service but paying near retail price hurts 😩
ya amazon is super convenient but i've had so much manga come super damaged from them so i don't order from there super often
next time take a hair dryer over stickers, heats adhesive and usually come right off clean!

i've heard of that tip! i unfortunately don't own a hairdryer so the best i can do is using like this goo remover stuff i have, it works okay but not the best, thank you though
Shojo got weird in the past several years. It became all about the romance, meet cute type of manga. At least the mainstream ones. But in the 90s to mid 2000s - Shojo was far more diverse than Shonen. Did you know that horror was under Shojo? High Fantasy, Science Fiction, Slice of Life were also Shojo. Yes, Yaoi and Yuri were also under the Shojo subgenre. Shonen was all battle, power leveling and sports manga.
Yen Press for as long as I can remember have been unfair in their pricing. But they are also the publisher that takes chances with niche titles. While Viz will only ever invest on Shonen Jump's mainline series.
Oh how interesting I didn't know that! Ya I was def shocked when I first found out banana fish is shojo, that makes sense since it is from the 80s i believe,, and true! i do appreciate yen press potentially taking a hit with publishing my faves just wish they were more affordable, it makes it hard to justify recommending their series to others bc i feel bad about the pricing, it feels like i'm being catered to as an existing fan of a series though

yes technically it is shojo! i would also think of it as more of a seinen but i think someone else in the comments explained that older shojo covered a way wider range of topics than modern ones for some reason
