The scene that I absolutely cannot forget about this game, is when Sejanus reanimated Pollux as a zombie, and then Castor actively fighting him to keep him out of your way while you deal with Sejanus. I loved that fact that your allies were active fighters and not just "helping" through a cutscene or offscreen.
Dude, i love it so much aswell. Same reason why i fell in love with early dynasty warriors game. Seeing huge battles at the time was crazy. You had games like rome total war, age of empires and other rts to simulate massive battles but being part of it? Only spartan total warrior and dynasty warriors. My favorite scene was the charge at the 3rd mission. That part still gives me chills
@yesman9792 I was stuck on that barbarian boss fight for literally almost a year. Never played the game for several months after that until I decided to play it again and finally got him after a few tries. Wish they would remaster it.
I like the fact CA just went from this and said "fine, we will nail the total war genre" and did, but, I think when they have the time and resources they should revisit historical rpgs. this game was a shadow hit, not many knew about it but it ruled, gg, CA
It all got me really immersed when I was a kid playing it, I remember Sejanus (the guy who has his mouth lowkey covered in most angles and can bring people back from the dead n whatnot) was one of the coolest yet spookiest characters I had seen. The monsters didn't scare me much considering I was a huge fan of Aliens (The film as it was the first horror I saw) and Jurassic Park so I just found they looked really cool although the scariest boss for me would probably have to be the Minotaur or Crassus (I know, Crassus ain't that scary on his own but when ya heard Medusa scream in the distance it made the feeling more nightmare like)
Oh yes, its the very reason why I stopped playing for 3 months when I got to that part of campaign. I returned later with volume turned to 0 and ey, the game is finished.
Same. because of Hydra i would never finish the game and just start it all over with a new game. after some time I decided to mute the whole Hydra battle and it worked :D

@TDarkK that they were developed at the same time, in fact Spartan started earlier. God of war came out before but not nearly enough time happened for an entire game to be developed. They are completely different games, with different mechanics and plots
