The voice acting in this game was and still is superb! So powerful.

they made the voices with passion. that's cool. it's like in a good movie.
He got killed like an idiot by taking a dagger to the back but was powerful enough to defeat the grim reaper and make him beg for mercy.

with the right perks backstabbing can deal up to 30x damage so yes it's stronger than Mr. Death
It's really sad that this game didn't get a series, or even a sequel. It was an amazing sink of concept art and monsters. A really inspiring injection of creativity into a story hundreds of years old. If only the creators had the chance to do more of the same.

It’s crazy when you really think about it all the soldiers that fought for the name of god when taking there last breath where probably only ever met in the other side by demons and reapers. For the loads of sins they committed.

Yo. I have asked someone about this but in the novel, I think they are saved because they're are soldier of God (i think it is in the 4th planet in Paradiso) or they are in the Purgatory where the sins are justified.
In real life it is just as Dante says"Murder is in the name of only the murderer.". During the time of the Crusades and Holy Inquisition, thousands, if not millions, were murdered should they have not kissed the Bible. The shittiest of all things was that most crusaders weren't actually Christians, they were mostly royalties and kinmen making a name for themselves. According to God's laws he drew on the two tablets, murder is a major no no, so at the end, each crusader who murdered was sent to Hell, no exceptions no matter what.
God (in that universe) should have sent souls like Beatrice's brother to Purgatory instead

The only problem I had with Dante’s inferno was that Dante only ever faught humans yet he somehow kicks the grim reaper’s ass upon first meeting him. Also Rip Grim, he was just doing his job
I feel like the sequel was supposed to explain his strength. You know to canceled one.
I think this is because God is helping him, to give him a trial, to see if he truly felt guilty for his sin. There are a few videos that explained this, even Satan himself hinted this in the game.
I love the cinematic cut scenes. They hold up very well for a decade old game.

Okay, but in the poem, Dante was fainting everywhere and had to be carried up mountains by angels. He was always crying and relying on Virgil senpai to save him. He's so badass in this game!

Apart from the fact that Dante's Inferno hasn't even that great of a storyline and it isn't an excessively old game, ever heard of: The Witcher, Uncharted, Read Dead Redemption, Ori series, Soulsborne series and there are much more examples.
Good games are everywhere, even today, you just have to pay less attention to bad ones.

This game despite what some criticized about it being a cross between g.o.w. and d.m.c. is not point here it's fantastic piece of work and enjoy playing it no matter what nothing in life is one of a kind everything has it's root in something past rarities don't happen all the times perhaps it does have some of one or another past games but the is try it out you might like it.

How in the unholy dick do you get from "this game is a GoW clone" to "every game from the genre is a GoW clone"
The thing with Dante's Inferno is that it has a nearly identical control mapping, a very similar combo system, a lot of similar unlockable special attacks and quick time events to finish off big enemies and bosses in creative and brutal ways. When I play DI it feels like I am playing a reskinned GoW. Darksiders doesn't. DMC I never played so I wouldn't know.
