Kampung Baru in KL is a must for those who want to savour authentic Malaysian delicacies. On the other hand to the contrary that place is just an immitation of real stuff and meant for tourists.
Here's my food recommendations; MALAY Nasi Lemak @ Village Park (Make sure get the fried chicken) CHINESE Claypot Chicken Rice @ Huen Kee INDIAN Naan Cheese @ RSMY (Ask for extra cheese, trust me) Enjoy guys! 😊
thank you so much, please save these recommendations, we will be doing another post where you can reply with these recommendations, so that we can have all of the suggestions in one place 😁
EL&N is everywhere (even Dubai), not Msian at all and too expensive for what you get 😮 You got stitched up. There are so many good Msian desserts - eg apam balik 11:21 , goreng pisang, nyonya kuih etc for 1/10th of what you paid
Hope that you guys have had a wonderful time with the food exploration in KL as recommended by your viewers. Plenty of good food to try in KL and around Malaysia.
You guys should also try the local franchise restaurants, plenty of them. One of my favorites is Secret Recipe, a cake house, and it has a good fish and chips, lamb shank and mashed potatoes, and the blueberry cheesecake and salted caramel macadamia cheesecakes are few of my favorites. But my favorite cheesecake is from Paul, the french pastry bakery in KL.
@@carmaadventures Yes, you guys can do it again, perhaps a USD10 challenge for each person. You'll be surprised with the value you can get from USD10 each. For breakfast, roti canai with teh tarik. For lunch, nasi lemak (nasi lemak is now recognized by UNESCO). For dinner, char kway teow. For supper, Ramy burger or satay. In between, some street snacks or fruits. 😁
@@carmaadventures For Secret Recipe, it's all around Malaysia especially at the malls. For Paul, I only know the one in KL Pavilion. If you guys like fried chicken, roast chicken or burger, you can review the ones in many fast food restaurants, like McDonald's, KFC, Wendy's, A&W, Marry Brown, Texas Chicken, Popeyes, Jolibee, Ayamas, Kenny Rogers, Nandos, Burger King, Five Guys etc 😁
Surprise that none in the video is Malaysian authentic meal 😂 Should really try mix rice for lunch at kampung baru , over 50 menu of mix rice to choose . For special hunting : masak lemak cili api Beef or chicken or catfish it doesn't matter as long it's cooked as "masak lemak cili api" Anyway, Jalan alor is known as mostly overpriced food spot, Edit: My suggestion is, Restoran Kak Som , more to Malaysian Authentic meal . Which is in Kampung Bharu, nearby wanjo , i wont be suggesting u to try wanjo because for me its not suitable on my tastebudds .😂
Please keep some snicker bars or mnm’s or any milk chocolate on you throughout malaysia to help with the spicy food 😅, water wont help much with some of the spice level. The reason for peanut element in our nasi lemak, is to defuse the spice
13:00 is not enough, video should be at least 2:13:00 long. Malaysian food have great variety. KL alone, if you eat at 1 restaurant a day it'll take you 29 years??
no im not mad at u guys just that suggest traditional food not food like fieve fingers or something.. malaysia in mcdonal and kfc have nasi lemak you guys sould try.. and roti canai is rank no 1 for best roti in the world
Nasi Kandar is Malaysian you wont find it in India. Nasi means rice and Kandar is the basket that contain all the stuff you ate. They used to carry it on their backs hundreds of years ago which they don't do anymore. Its a fusion of Indian Muslims from India and Malay Muslim food culture. The dishes are Malay based but extra heavy on spices with Indian cooking techniques. Its rich and heavy full of flavor. Why do you avoid halal food? its the least crazy and safest food around in Asia or are you afraid of taste and flavor? lol
@@carmaadventures Halal is religious dietary law that people take seriously its similar to Kashrut/kosher ( it cant contain amphibians, insects, reptiles, carrion or predator animals or porcine products kosher has even more rules) . You're missing out on a lot if you avoid spicy stuff.
We know 😭 We do like spice, but many times it affects our stomachs, so we tend to reduce it if we've got a busy week 😬
U should state your budget for the food recommendations... may be not more than RM12 per food...😊
that's a great recommendation 👌
pick local malaysian dish.. they are foreigner not local....
There will be more vids to try more food 😋

If you can eat calamari you have eaten squid.
Carol is incredibly picky with food 🤦♂️ ahaha
Funny, whoever recomended Beef Roti is messing with you. Its not even Malaysian food.
It wasn't intended for only Malaysian food, but we will be trying some Malaysian food in future videos 😍

It's Indian Muslim food
Its actually Chinese muslim fried roti.
Yep, the last dish is 😊
2:50 but d rent in pavillion mall is expensive
That's true, don't exactly know how much but Pavilion does seem like a pricey mall to have a business

ahaha, it's not meant to be rude. It just looks better on the title 😃
