I love the fact they gender swapped Arthur in Altria and it just makes the back story of how Lancelot became berserker even more powerful. Gilgamesh looks really nice and his attire seems more accurate in Prototype, however his all golden army truly made him look like the King of Heroes he is. A Prototype movie by ufotable would be nice especially with their now ever so powerful "unlimited" budget.
Ok the gender swapping was weird, but I'm not gonna lie they took advantage of the gender swap to help make certain parts of her backstory more powerful. Sometimes characters get gender-swapped for no reason but saber doesn't feel like that, even if that is the case I dont know about sabers development history.

There's a lot of mood similarity between Fate Prototype and Kara no Kyoukai. My guess is that KnK is the product of all the ideas Nasu had to abandon to make FSN into a commercially feasible novel. I also wish fate prototype was expanded, but i don't know if type moon will have the guts to do it. They are quite succesful already, so it's better to keep milking proven material than risking a brand new venture. Bad news for us, but makes perfect financial sense. Just remember how Kyoto dragged his feet once Haruhi S1 became their cash cow.
I see what you're saying but Type-Moon did release Witch on the Holy Night which was a risky move given that it was as you said a new venture. Sadly it bombed despite being a critical succeeds and fans generally loving it, it wasn't altogether too successful financially. With that in mind It's kind of hard to say with Type-Moon.

I really liked how he was portrayed in this short preview/trailer, he seemed like a really fun and outgoing character which is a good opposite to the mousy female protagonist. Seeing their interactions would be fun and interesting, I can only hope we can one day see the original story.
yeah and it seems like the fights with male saber look awsome, i mean crashing through buildings and basicly fighting like superman but with a sword, and his excalibur looks beast, almost as cool as godzillas red spiral ray
I never saw the big deal, all forms of media do this. It just is what is, I watched it originally as a woman Saber & that's where it has resonated ever since. I'm not digging or trolling, I simply don't see why it matters. The Fate series was / is great & The TYPEMOON universe notoriously UFOTABLES gets better with every series. Long live the TYPEMOON anime Franchise.

God Fate/stay night UBW was such a good show the cliff hangers in the end made me want so much more, even though I know that it will be some 2-3 years before we get something like this again.
Well not really, UFOTABLE is doing FATE/ HEAVENS FEEL route or Sakura's route in at least 1 3 he movie...maybe 2 movies as that's the debate. It was do out this fall but it is in production. Most believe that UFOTABLE is waiting for the Revised TSUKIHIME VN to be finished which was initiated in 08 so they can Reboot the TSUKIHIME anime from 2001. I expect to see more out of TYPEMOON most likely under UFOTABLE in the next 10 years than we saw in the last.
I didn't have a issue with the eating/cooking scenes, they added character, were usually funny, and they worked quite well in the VN format. I didn't really find shirou annoying in the VN, was a good everyman character to get you into the story, who get better as it went on. It get more serious, but the 3 routes worked quite well together as a whole in that respect. And I never cared about gilgamesh not having a bow. And this concept wouldn't work as a VN. I don't think that's what he intended it to be when he wrote it in high school. I think despite the changes he had to make for it as a VN, the story was still great anyway. But yeah, this type of story as shown here would need to be in another format to work.
+nejiblue Some of the cooking scenes are good, but some are overly long and should have been edited down at the very least. I am not sure why you're trying to defend Shirou? I never said anything bad about him. In fact I think Shirou is a great character and that he's much more than just an every-man type of character. He's a deconstruction a subtle deconstruction of your typical shounen protagonist and how the mindset you typically associate with those characters wouldn't be able to function properly in actual society. I don't think the story as it was originally written would work as a VN, but I don't see why it couldn't be re-written (while still keeping more or less the same story beats) to be a VN. That being said I think an anime/ manga would probably work better anyways.
I glad to see ufotable expanded heavens feel, it is the best route and also the longest, so we should get more time. As for shaft animating fate/extra... i honestly don't know much about extra, but i do wonder how much it will adapt to Shinbo's style. Wait and see i guess.

Fate/Prototype makes a hell of a lot more sense at a glance than Fate/stay night.. I must say. I do love FSN, but I also wish that this would be animated. Along with Fragments which acts as like the Zero to Prototype. And. Cu Chulainn Prototype is dope. Absolutely awesome. :D

This would be an epic addition to the Fate series, with the Holy Grail War and all that. I believe that Type-Moon needs to make this, especially if it's the original version. I watched the trailer/OVA for it and it was really, really good. Add onto the fact that the main character is NOT Shirou, and you get a new perspective.
I love you for using the Nier soundtrack. Its phenomenally amazing and is so under utilized. I also agree that this looks like it could be great, And I feel Ufotable could really smash it out of the part. With them being so busy with UBW and the Heavens Feel movie(s) though, I doubt we would even hear about it for a long time

I am a huge Fate fan personally. They're coming out with a remake of Fate/Stay Night in the fall, I'd say that one is definitely one to keep an eye out for. In the meantime, if you have Netflix or Crunchyroll, watch Fate/Zero, shit will blow your mind. XD

I mean nasu made an over all story for it placing it to take place eight years after heavens feel The system of the War and everything else is much like that from Fate/stay night in some points, but unlike the produced project, the Prototype version has Masters that possess "Master Degrees", which are named following the angelic hierarchy starting from the 7th Order and up (so Princes, Powers, Virtues, Dominions, Thrones, Cherubim, Seraphim).

I wanted to see an anime of this because I would love to see what the author wanted in the original tale of the fate series. Not just that, Sayoji's character is something that I wanted to see; her character seemed more interesting and has many flaws that would bring an opportunity for character development. The sort of person I am is fond of character development in tales like this. No offence to shiro fans, but as much as optimism is a quality that I love in characters, I felt like his character was flat (until Heaven's feel route of course). Well ill say one thing here that no one has mentioned in the comments and that if u noticed at 5:24 you will see Rider Sitting on a bunch of dead bodies meaning he had to kill them some where in the series Also that Rider is the Demi God hero Perseus the one who Killed medusa and also he is the only one in the fate series to have 6 phantasms that arent like gilgameshs. And to think he was also the only one to have a happy ending and not a sad ending like the others in prototype. For him to become a master right when his master had used his command seals now thats like going beyone his mask seemed to have hidden his servant energy. So people couldnt take note that he was the rider servant is a smart thing to do. His only task he did was He wanted to kill everyone that existed to make his master satisfied so that the world could be peaceful.
i'm kind of glad nasu made so many changes from his original idea. we wouldn't have archer and the idealogical conflict b/w him and shirou. plus the saber that we got is truely the proper way to genderbend big iconic figures with respect to the legends they are taken from.

Not sure if youve been told this yet, but you can look up the written script for this on the Internet and get a better sense of the original story (if my memory serves correct). It still doesn't do its potential justice though, and I am definitely on board for trying to get them to make this into a thing.
I would love an anime of Fate/Prototype. The Fate series of popular enough having been changed from the original concept (ie. gender-bends and all that) and I'd love to see what the original idea was supposed to be like before marketing got involved.
Rin in a towel was an anime original scene, that wasn't in the visual novel. Saber in a wedding dress is hardly fan service, she barely shows any skin and the purpose of the scene was to not only display Caster's obsession with Saber but it was also her attempt to break her spirit by humiliating her. Not to mention the bathing scene was not simply for fan service, the scene served a purpose in regards to the relationship between Shirou and Saber. I am not saying there's no fan service AT ALL, but, it's an incredibly insignificant aspect of the show.

Technically you cant buy it. I mean, you can get the Japanese version but there is no official english release. If you want to read the VN your best bet is to find a download/ torrent and apply the English fan translation patch.

It is Gilgamesh in Prototype as well and he can fire an arrow that summons the Great Flood while Saber is very damn OP. Prototype Saber is the strongest as well as Excalibur is EX rank in this.

Yup, the background music is from Nier, because the OST in that game is godlike.Considering the guy with the tattoo on his tongue could still talk, I am guessing summoning a servant doesn't take something away from the master like in Drakengard.. However I do think it's cool that the command seals are not just on their hands like in Stay Night.

However, nothing is better than the music from Yuki Kajiura ;) Concerning Fate: Did you play Fate / Extra? I'm considering to buy it someday, but the gameplay isn't that good, from what I've heard, since it largely depends on luck with the rock / paper / scissors system.
Vivi Orunitia I own it and I've played some of it. The story is really interesting and as a fan its cool to see some familiar faces like Rin and Kotomine, but I didn't play enough of it to really get a sense for it.

i must say, i am totaly with you, this looks very interessting,but at the same thime i whould say there is no chance that this will come out at a full anime because there are so much more possible adaptations from the fate series like extra or hollow ataraxia. It would be so amazing if ufotable would make it, but look how slow they are. They need for an 25 episode anime around 2-3 years.

well some of the characters have been remade or moved to other series from prototype mainly ilyia still looks similar to the small girl in prototype and the crazy guy from prototype is Cornelius Alba from kara no kyoukai, if this was remade you would probably see too many parallels to current nasu stories to find anything original

I really liked how he was portrayed in this short preview/trailer, he seemed like a really fun and outgoing character which is a good opposite to the mousy female protagonist. Seeing their interactions would be fun and interesting, I can only hope we can one day see the original story.

I never saw the big deal, all forms of media do this. It just is what is, I watched it originally as a woman Saber & that's where it has resonated ever since. I'm not digging or trolling, I simply don't see why it matters. The Fate series was / is great & The TYPEMOON universe notoriously UFOTABLES gets better with every series.

God Fate/stay night UBW was such a good show the cliff hangers in the end made me want so much more, even though I know that it will be some 2-3 years before we get something like this again.
Well not really, UFOTABLE is doing FATE/ HEAVENS FEEL route or Sakura's route in at least 1 3 he movie...maybe 2 movies as that's the debate. It was do out this fall but it is in production. Most believe that UFOTABLE is waiting for the Revised TSUKIHIME VN to be finished which was initiated in 08 so they can Reboot the TSUKIHIME anime from 2001. I expect to see more out of TYPEMOON most likely under UFOTABLE in the next 10 years than we saw in the last.
I didn't have a issue with the eating/cooking scenes, they added character, were usually funny, and they worked quite well in the VN format. I didn't really find shirou annoying in the VN, was a good everyman character to get you into the story, who get better as it went on. It get more serious, but the 3 routes worked quite well together as a whole in that respect. And I never cared about gilgamesh not having a bow.
And this concept wouldn't work as a VN. I don't think that's what he intended it to be when he wrote it in high school. I think despite the changes he had to make for it as a VN, the story was still great anyway. But yeah, this type of story as shown here would need to be in another format to work.

I am not sure why you're trying to defend Shirou? I never said anything bad about him. In fact I think Shirou is a great character and that he's much more than just an every-man type of character. He's a deconstruction a subtle deconstruction of your typical shounen protagonist and how the mindset you typically associate with those characters wouldn't be able to function properly in actual society.
I don't think the story as it was originally written would work as a VN, but I don't see why it couldn't be re-written (while still keeping more or less the same story beats) to be a VN. That being said I think an anime/ manga would probably work better anyways.

GODS NO. Shaft can make awesome stuff (see monogatari series), it's just that they have a lot of quirks that may or may not work with Extra.

This would be an epic addition to the Fate series, with the Holy Grail War and all that. I believe that Type-Moon needs to make this, especially if it's the original version. I watched the trailer/OVA for it and it was really, really good. Add onto the fact that the main character is NOT Shirou, and you get a new perspective.
I love you for using the Nier soundtrack. Its phenomenally amazing and is so under utilized. I also agree that this looks like it could be great, And I feel Ufotable could really smash it out of the part. With them being so busy with UBW and the Heavens Feel movie(s) though, I doubt we would even hear about it for a long time
daandriod I am sure it would also have to be reworked and rewritten since it was some of Nasu's earliest works, I doubt the material in its original form has aged gracefully. If Nasu rewrites it and ufotable animates it, I am sure it could be great. However you're right, ufotable is busy with other stuff atm so I dont think this will be a thing anytime soon. Fingers crossed though.

I am a huge Fate fan personally. They're coming out with a remake of Fate/Stay Night in the fall, I'd say that one is definitely one to keep an eye out for. In the meantime, if you have Netflix or Crunchyroll, watch Fate/Zero, shit will blow your mind. XD

I mean nasu made an over all story for it placing it to take place eight years after heavens feel The system of the War and everything else is much like that from Fate/stay night in some points, but unlike the produced project, the Prototype version has Masters that possess "Master Degrees", which are named following the angelic hierarchy starting from the 7th Order and up (so Princes, Powers, Virtues, Dominions, Thrones, Cherubim, Seraphim).
This looks visually amazing. If ufotable made this into an anime ... It would probably get a lot of praise🙏🏾

I wanted to see an anime of this because I would love to see what the author wanted in the original tale of the fate series. Not just that, Sayoji's character is something that I wanted to see; her character seemed more interesting and has many flaws that would bring an opportunity for character development. The sort of person I am is fond of character development in tales like this. No offence to shiro fans, but as much as optimism is a quality that I love in characters, I felt like his character was flat (until Heaven's feel route of course). I mean, hey, he's great, but that's just it. I came to like the side characters more, even

Well ill say one thing here that no one has mentioned in the comments and that if u noticed at 5:24 you will see Rider Sitting on a bunch of dead bodies meaning he had to kill them some where in the series Also that Rider is the Demi God hero Perseus the one who Killed medusa and also he is the only one in the fate series to have 6 phantasms that arent like gilgameshs. And to think he was also the only one to have a happy ending and not a sad ending like the others in prototype. For him to become a master right when his master had used his command seals now thats like going beyone his mask seemed to have hidden his servant energy. So people couldnt take note that he was the rider servant is a smart thing to do. His only task he did was He wanted to kill everyone that existed to make his master satisfied so that the world could be peaceful.

i'm kind of glad nasu made so many changes from his original idea. we wouldn't have archer and the idealogical conflict b/w him and shirou. plus the saber that we got is truely the proper way to genderbend big iconic figures with respect to the legends they are taken from.

Not sure if youve been told this yet, but you can look up the written script for this on the Internet and get a better sense of the original story (if my memory serves correct).
It still doesn't do its potential justice though, and I am definitely on board for trying to get them to make this into a thing.

Rin in a towel was an anime original scene, that wasn't in the visual novel. Saber in a wedding dress is hardly fan service, she barely shows any skin and the purpose of the scene was to not only display Caster's obsession with Saber but it was also her attempt to break her spirit by humiliating her. Not to mention the bathing scene was not simply for fan service, the scene served a purpose in regards to the relationship between Shirou and Saber. I am not saying there's no fan service AT ALL, but, it's an incredibly insignificant aspect of the show.
Only Kaleid Liner had useless fanservice, and it wasn't even made by TM

Technically you cant buy it. I mean, you can get the Japanese version but there is no official english release. If you want to read the VN your best bet is to find a download/ torrent and apply the English fan translation patch.
or just get a torrent with the translation already applied. i takes like 5 minutes and comes pre installed in that you just need to click on the right file

Hate to break it to you lads, but prototype is probably a long long way off, once they finish HF movies, the sequel which shall not be named due to a personal reason (read; I fucking forgot) will be adapted next, then probably some fucked up side stories, or a rework of extra, then prototype might be on the table

It is Gilgamesh in Prototype as well and he can fire an arrow that summons the Great Flood while Saber is very damn OP. Prototype Saber is the strongest as well as Excalibur is EX rank in this.

Yup, the background music is from Nier, because the OST in that game is godlike.Considering the guy with the tattoo on his tongue could still talk, I am guessing summoning a servant doesn't take something away from the master like in Drakengard.. However I do think it's cool that the command seals are not just on their hands like in Stay Night.

Concerning Fate: Did you play Fate / Extra? I'm considering to buy it someday, but the gameplay isn't that good, from what I've heard, since it largely depends on luck with the rock / paper / scissors system.
Vivi Orunitia I own it and I've played some of it. The story is really interesting and as a fan its cool to see some familiar faces like Rin and Kotomine, but I didn't play enough of it to really get a sense for it.

i must say, i am totaly with you, this looks very interessting,but at the same thime i whould say there is no chance that this will come out at a full anime because there are so much more possible adaptations from the fate series like extra or hollow ataraxia. It would be so amazing if ufotable would make it, but look how slow they are. They need for an 25 episode anime around 2-3 years.
I wouldn't go as far as to say there's "no chance" but yeah I dont really see this happening anytime soon. As for ufotable taking awhile, hey, I'd rather wait for something great than to get something mediocre right this second.
Of course. Thats why ufotable is my favorite anime studio, outstanding animations for the great type moon novels. There are far superior of the most other stuidos.

well some of the characters have been remade or moved to other series from prototype mainly ilyia still looks similar to the small girl in prototype and the crazy guy from prototype is Cornelius Alba from kara no kyoukai, if this was remade you would probably see too many parallels to current nasu stories to find anything original

The thing is that is only so many times you can see a story that's just a little different than the last route. How many times can we see Shiro summon Saber lol. I believe this is why Heavens Feel will be a movie over a series...it's to close to the same story & every body is tired of the Middle Fate story as a whole. UBW's is great and new but after SN (AKA FATE Proper) & now HF ...and I'm looking forward to it as its going to be atleast great....they need to move on. I welcome a UFOTABLE SN Fate actual remake as well so the complete the saga & all 3 routes but not for atleast another 7-8 years.
