La LANCIA LC2 è stata un'auto spettacolare ma non fortunatissima. Secondo stime era accreditata del miglior rapporto peso/potenza "reale" di 800 kg a vuoto e di oltre 1100 CV in qualifica, la velocità di circa 425kmh e l'accelerazione 0-100 in 2.7 (rapporti lunghi) e 1,7 (stimati rapporti corti) e lo 0-300 in meno di 9 secondi !!! (testimoniato dalle innumerevoli pole position ottenute. Con la Ferrari 308 Carma ff (1050 cv in gara e 1350 CV in qualifica) condivideva alcune soluzioni tecniche, ed era in grado per pochi attimi di sprigionare anche valori compresi tra i 1450 e 1650 CV al banco come testimoniato dalle prove di Moreschi e dei campionati Marche successivi.
I think Ernesto is correct. The Lancia LC2 looked beautiful, but was so unreliable. It is the Group C car that everyone forgets as it rarely finished a race. Saying all that it looked wonderful, sounded amazing and was always my favourite. I saw them race at Silverstone and Donington back in the eighties! 😮
