Great video! Just some minor clarifications:
* Phorusrhacidae is the terror bird family, which has more than one genus in it.
* The Cenozoic was from 66-0 million years ago. Within the Cenozoic, terror birds existed between 53 and 2 million years ago.
I think the TB should have played as a charging heavy attacker where it could run up to enemies in a charge like the Trike and deliver a heavy bleed attack instead of the goofy ass flapping it does which would not help it.
That would have been a really cool mechanic. Their wings were for stabilising them as they ran rather than flapping so your idea would have made more sense.
That massive beak would definitely have done some serious bleed damage too

Almost everything on the island bar the bosses was based off of something that existed once at least I think it was....... It was with Scorched earth they they started leaning into more fantastical creatures...
This is true, but there are a few surprising differences that I'm finding quite interesting. Scorched earth definitely has some really cool creatures on it
@@skwirrelle oh yeah there are quite a few differences. As per the lore, the creatures are all modified or tweaked by the overseer so that they almost become sub species of the name they take after. Eg : The rex is called Tyrannosaurus Dominum in the Dossier...
@hunterkiller1984 yeah they all have their own species names, its really interesting working out what the devs have created for their species names.
If I have seen it in a book as a child it is real, because otherswise somebody would have told me by now!

Yeuppers! Arthropleura was real. A good thing to know is that most of the Island's creatures are real, and the creatures from later Arks are mostly made up except for Ragnarok, where they started adding real animals again like Andrewsarchus and Amargasaurus
