The game play was ok for like an hours run through and have a look. But the price does feel high for that. Especially compared to something like the revernce map that is $5 for a whole map thays going to have fully rigged custom creatures...

it's not raptors. It's a piece called Leaping Laelaps by Charles R Knight painted in 1897. It is 100% Dryptosaurus.

Yeah the mod definitely doesn't look like the newer (or Knights) drawings, but it looks a lot like the old style artwork. The mod is a cool concept. Tuso would be cool!

What i read was pretty shocking to be honest, the egos were GINORMOUS and their actions ridiculous. I had to vut part of the script where I talked about Cope just basically labeling so many creatures he found Laelaps something or other. Full on man child behaviour

@ I’d say that even today there’s still damage to paleontology’s reputation simply because of scientists that decided Cope and Marsh were examples to follow. I’ve heard of many stories where scientists just casually destroyed property or even outright forced people to leave simply because they decided someone else’s property was hiding fossils. There was an incident in Spain I believe where a guy was remodeling his house and found a sauropod skeleton. In that case he was actually compensated but in so many others the discovery of fossils on your property is a source of dread simply because these egomaniacs with government money come in and destroy your property and your expected to deal with it. Often when you have now money because these people use loopholes, bully tactics, and outright bankrupting you to get their way. Or when people find a fossil, try to get it authenticated and basically get told it museum property now, or get it outright stolen when lent in good faith. In that sense the legacy of Marsh and Cop live on, unfortunately. Cases like the Dueling Dino’s and Apex are unfortunately not as rare as it seems. These two are just ones that got noticed. Not saying that all scientists are like this, but it enough of a problem that it constantly gives paleontologists a bad name.

that's so sad. I hadn't heard of those cases you've mentioned. I feel like these discoveries are for everyone to share, but not at the expense of someone else, they're not THAT important.
