Unless s/he wants to be a doctor or nurse, Uni is a huge waste of money. Send em to vocational/technical/trade school instead. Way cheaper, takes way less time, and they WILL have a job waiting for em when they finish their qualifications. Sometime in the early to mid-80s we as a nation started looking down on blue collar work. Incidentally, we simply cannot maintain the infrastructure we have now because literally everyone is so shorthanded.
My daughter came out of a very liberal college and idk if ill ever be able to help her find her commonsense again. They changed her and she is so far left, and so void of values it makes me sick.

Religion needs to keep it's mouth shut off your speaking of morality. The bible calls for and justifies rape, murder, slavery, infanticide, genocide, torture. Don't come to me with religious "morality". Religion is the reason all of this hatred and intolerance exists in the world. The least religious countries in the world have the lowest violence rates, the happiest citizens, and the most balanced laws. The more religious a country gets, it becomes more oppressive, more violent, had higher suicide rates. People are generally less satisfied with their lives. Wow, yay religion! The big misconception about “the cake” was that the bakery was actually willing to bake and sell the cake to them. They would not put the writing on it that the customer requested. Why we have forgotten this is beyond me. Additionally, it was proven that this couple actually went “bakery shopping” to find one that would say no, so they could cause an issue. There were plenty of other bakeries that said yes, that they could’ve used, but chose to single out the one bakery that wouldn’t write something that they didn’t want to write.
Which is exactly what Ben said. Only one group wants to FORCE their religion and beliefs on others using the government's guns.
I remember that case it was funny because it was like the only Baker that ever existed in Colorado is least the way they made it seem in the news

Several cases regarding same sex couples demanding bakers prepare their cakes occurred. In all cases the bakers were willing to arrange equivalent bakers to decorate their cakes but they refused. I wonder if they are the same kind of people who contact a Hindu caterer and demand cow, a Jewish caterer and demand non kosher food, a Muslim caterer and demand pork because they have rights and are discriminated against. I guess the areas of these frivolous lawsuits have absolutely no bakers.

It's amazing how many professors are completely clueless about the real world. And then they teach our kids about how the world is not.

Most teachers are clueless hacks, smart people rarely becomes teachers, just like they rarely become cops or military, or politicians.
100% I have found the more time people spend in education the less in touch with the real world they become. These 30-40 year professors are so far out of touch.
when they were being taught 30 years ago by their professors the world was totally different. when they started teaching they were regurgitating what they were taught and have spent the last 25 years teaching and saying the same things over and over. if someone spends all their time in the same classroom using the same books it's really hard to change their perspective while the world just passes them by.
From the body language of the "professor" on the left (literally and figuratively) , he assumed that just his aura of intelligence would control the debate. He is sooo egotistical about his so called high intelligence that he neglected to apprise himself of important details critical to this debate and ended up looking foolish.
These professors are AMAZING at getting their butts kicked by someone who is obviously using the facts and common sense. I sign contracts all the time. If I don't like the terms...I DON'T sign. It's called freedom to choose.

I cross out items on every contract to see who I’m dealing with.
It has saved me thousands upon thousands. To date, no one has ever countered my amendments.
One desk jockey berated me for messing up his precious off the shelf lease agreement.
I told him he had 72 hours to counter. He continued to berate me as a “simple mechanic”.
He never countered or rejected my amendments, and I did what ever I wanted on his property.

I am a retired college professor (emeritus) and I can tell you from experience that just because a person is a college professor doesn't make him/her right. College is replete with arrogant people who have no interest in listening to anyone who disagrees with them and these people absolutely LOVE to hear themselves talk.
Today, it doesn't even make them smart. There are so many garbage courses taught.

eh I liked arguing with dumb professors like that. But I got a scholarship. Couldn't have justified spending money on some of those classes. Unfortunately, you have to be very choosy about going to college. By the time my daughter grows up, I might be discouraging college for her...and to be clear, I value education. I love learning. But why pay somebody to help you unlearn logical ways of thinking? You're going to be better off just reading more and maybe going to trade school. I have some hope it'll change. Conservative students who can stand it should keep going to school, keep being in the institutions, and keep challenging this stuff. The worst thing we can do is lie down and let leftists take over every institution and block all dissenting viewpoints. That being said, I get to decide to stand up. I'm not going to make my child do that.

The entire system is a scam and is ruining our kids and our economy. Kids are so deep in debt that they can’t afford a home or a family. It’s beyond sick.

Learning something you do with your hands is not a failure, what they push in colleges is trash... you don't learn anything new, except how to protest and be unhappy with your parents and how they raised you. Being a carpenter, hvac tech, mechanic dies not carry shame. It says you are being a pragmatic person. Doing something that will always be needed. After all, how many art majors do we really need?

I ran into this at the University of Oregon in 1962. Two of my professors were outspoken and against the Christian religion.
As a business owner you have the right to refuse service. If you are refused service... Go somewhere else if the store wont serve you. We need to protect our small businesses.

I always call myself a independent who used to lean a little left but with my type of logical mind, I use common sense in my reasoning. @@kevenkrea1048 A very large portion of families in the western hemisphere are broken families who also contribute to the problem. The schools are the grounds where brainwashing occurs, but it generally needs to start at home and have a foundation, maybe the parents instill those liberal values, maybe they don't and end up negatively influencing the children into believing liberal values.
I survived school and came out not-liberal thinking only thanks to how broken my home was, I had no foundations so I built my own by reading and learning as much as I could.
My kid cant even walk out the door without running into a poor example.....This world isnt even adult friendly anymore, let alone kid friendly 😂😂....Sooner we admit the systems broke af.....better off we will be

Ben is educated, but something tells me either he was quiet in class, and went with the flow, despite his own research and study. I went back to college and got an electrical engineering degree at age 51. I could not believe the comments the professors were making to the students. I would not let it stand and they knew due to my age I would not be intimidated like these young kids. I actually had a professor tell me that I was taking up a seat from a younger students who could actually use the degree. I was shocked and reported him to the Dean but guess what he had tenure.
I remember the day when EVERY business had a sign over the door that read;
