They are real celebrity couple and just broke up last year. The MV was made as their closure since many believe that they haven't got one. Everything was scripted except for the last part where everyone was instructed to go outside except for the director and camera man. Every words comes from the heart and that part was their moment of closure.

Hi Loly. The music video part with the proposal, happy memories and wedding are all part of the script of the MV to cater to the message of the song. The actors were real life celebrity couple that broke up in 2019. Their relationship did not reach the point of getting engage. Their heart to heart talk was a formal closure for them (as shared by Joshua in an interview) that is why the words spoken doesn’t seem to match the MV. It was not scripted as the director just asked them to speak from the heart.

They were real couples but julia cheated on him with his co-star in a movie. That’s why Paubaya which means “Letting Go” or “Entrusting” to someone is a perfect song for them.
Joshua was really sweet to her. She was his world, his everything. He courted her every single day and never changed. As you can see in the video , he’s so in pain.
When joshua uttered “I didn’t even get to protect you” was the time that bashers were coming after julia for her rumored (but now official) 3rd party relationship with his co-star. Maybe joshua didn’t protect her cause (1) he saw that it was real it but he act like he didn’t so he can’t protect her as his heart was tearing apart, (2)he saw her happier with him and that they both rich/came from a rich family that’s why he said he began to realize they weren’t made for each other. And (3) he was afraid that he might lose her and that the bashers will also come after him thinking that it might ruin his career because he is the breadwinner of his family, unlike julia and her bf now, gerald who can still live a descents life if they won’t be actors no more. He kept quiet but he’ll surely catch a bullet for her so she won’t get hurt. But she broke him.

Hello Lily!! yeah I feel you coz that's exactly how this video made me feel when I first watched it.. for you to understand more sbout the whole video I would recommend that you do another reaction to this song"s behind the scenes. its awesome how they came about the whole idea. concept is finding forgiveness to everyone that's done you wrong and having the choice to move on and continue living and loving even if it hurts ❤️ sometimes...oh and yeah it's realistic coz they were real couple who recently broke up without closure.. and instead of a wedding vow it became parting vows where they filmed the part not having any script at all but they both just those lines from their actual emotions and made it like an official parting vows and forgiveness to each other.👍👌😎☺️🇵🇭❤️

Love your reaction. You deserve to know the whole story. The wedding scene is a symbolism. But the actors are real lovers that broke up in 2018 and never got their closure. There are rumors of a third party and Julia received the blunt of the fans ire and she was bashed constantly . Joshua chose to remain silent. The singer is a close friend and a fan. Moira gave them and the fans a proper decent clossure. Please read the lyrics. But most importantly please watch the "making of Pa-ubaya" its filled with wisdom, Its 90% English plus an English caption is provided. I highly recommend it.
