I'm so glad you added monster hunter world. I will never forget my very first encounter with anjanath. I was soloing him, and I couldn't do enough damage. I was less than 5 minutes remaining, when the big bad ran away from me, and straight into the wings of another. Mainly another monster who absolutely finished him off for me. One of my favorite stories from that game.
Memorable events or scenes in video games that give you a nostalgic chuckle. (Ex. Dragonage Flemmeth transformation and your character's face, Halo Cortana's this cave is not a natural formation, Sonic Adventure Knuckles Oh No) 👍love your content bud
Bless you, Jules. Thanks to you I now understand what Monty Python meant when twas sung "I like to push the pram a lot". I had no idea what a pram was. You have enriched my life yet again! Yours truly, an American Egg.
No Flood in halo 3? Honestly the moment when they joined forces with you even though for a short time was seriously one of the coolest moments. Thinking you'd have to deal with a Flood fight when you see the Flood tanks drop down but only to talk and then lead the charge on the prophet of truth? Honestly one of the best halo moments
I thought of that one too. Also, didn't one of the Pokemon games have you do a duo battle with a former leader of one of the villain teams against someone/something once? Or maybe it was with your rival.
Hard to believe Metroid Fusion's SA-X wasn't listed here. After you beat it up and send it running, it shows up to deliver some hits on the Omega Metroid, shielding you from harm, and then sacrificing itself for you to absorb to replenish health and gain the Ice Beam needed to harm it. Though, it was less "Want to help you" and more "Hates the boss even more than it hates you". Aaaaand that sacrifice might've been less intentional and more "Samus being opportunistic", but it still fits.
When I saw the titre, I thought about Bowser in Super Mario RPG, he's not there only for a boss but for pretty much the whole game. That's quite an helping hand.
I'd add Miles Edgeworth or other prosecutors in the "Phoenix Wright" series because they usually team up with you to bring down the true villain of the game in the last case.
Bowser teams up with Mario in quite a few of the games throughout the Mario series Also Goro Akechi Persona 5 Royal And Tohru Adachi Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
Hey Jules love your work. Please keep it up. I would love to see a list where NPC creatures stories. Such as how they became that way their journey and facing the characters we originally met them as.
Weirdest genre mashups that actually worked. When you take one style of game and smash it up with another style that is super counterintuitive but get an awesome end result. Like Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
Most memorable moment of Metro: Last Light was when you could get the gargoyle that tends to swoop down and kill you to attack the overgrown praying mantis kaiju in the swamp.
Love the list Jules but I gotta mention some glaring omissions 1. Glados - Portal 2 2. Bowser- Super Mario RPG 3. Giant... Metroid... Larva thingy? - Super Metroid 4. Knuckles - Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles
I was hoping more than just Bosses who were killed by scarier bosses, but thanks for the video anyways. If you'd create commenter version of this video, you should add these bosses: 1. That half naked boss from Pogo's story (Live A Live). Pogo defeated him some time before final boss encounter. For some reason, he decided to join Pogo in defeating the final boss. Also from the same game, Mad Dog from Sunset's story. He joins Sunset protecting the village from bandit attack up to battling the bandit's boss. 2. Magus from Chrono Trigger. Chrono and co defeated him then when he appears again, it is revealed that they actually have same goal: defeat Lavos so he offers to join the team. There could be more but I need to recall and check them.
This list could use even more characters: -Dr. Eggman, Rouge and Shadow the Hedgehog (Sonic Adventure 2). -Gravemind and The Arbiter (Halo 2 and 3) -GlaDoS (Portal 2) -Archie/Maxie (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire ORAS) -King Dedede/Meta Knight (Kirby games) -Bowser (Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga) -Dr. Doppler and General (Mega Man X3 and Megaman X4) -Edea (Final Fantasy VIII) -Balder (Bayonetta 2) -and technically, Zant (The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess)
Maybe for a list you could do partner NPCs that turn on you if you provoke them. Not sure if you have done that list before but I always think of Zelda in Spirit Tracks. When in possession of a phantom if you attack her enough she'll attack Link.
Sydney Losstarot, presumed big bad of Vagrant Story at that point, turns up to help you take on the Father Grissom bossfight, or more accurately you show up and help him as they're already fighting at that point and Grissom makes it pretty clear he intends to kill you both
Can I add a less cinematic assist honorable mention in cuz accidentally getting Rhino to run into Scorpion in their handicap match against Spidey was an absolute joy when it happened. I had to pause the game and give a silent nod to rhino before continuing the beating
While not a boss. But sparing oda and then saving takemura (which isn't marked as an objective) but by doing both during the devil ending oda and takemura help you fight in the first few minutes
Hey, Jules! Thanks for another great video! 8-) I was just wondering: Did you watch last week's season finale of "South Park"? The episode, "Spring Break," featured Stan and Tolkien playing "Warhammer 40,000."
6 times the hard mode rewards were actually worth it. 1. Dragon Quest 8’s - end game dragon weapons 2. Dead space - Foam Finger gun 3. resident evil 4 (original) mercenaries mode - hand cannon Ect..
Ngl the fight with Arkham is probably one of the best boss fights in devil may cry in general in the franchise, at least in the story on bloody palace thoughhhhhhh it's basically a good way to tell that a run is over.
1. Castlevania Curse of Darkness, amazing title that had utilized weapon creation similar to Monster Hunter but with typical Castlevania characters but following the Devil forge master Hector, hunting Issac who is trying to revive Dracula. Trevor Belmont is one of the Bosses and a main character from the games older game helping Hector 2. Operation Darkness, a strategic RPG the is Based in WW2. That follow a band of soldiers that is based of Penny Dreadful stories Vampire, zombies, tanks, and dragons working with Nazis versus Werewolf, Frankenstein's monster, Van Helsing descendant, and Jack the Ripper. 3. Colosseum Road to Freedom, is a hack and slash RPG, of you as a person being sold to fight as gladiator. The ultimate goal is to buy your freedom or remain as the best gladiator in history. Fighting famous names in the areas claim different armor pieces from enemies and weapons. Different Fighting style based of real world tactics of that time
Hey Jules, how about top Villains who you can't help but have a bit of a thing for. For example, Seymour Guado, he was so evil and really fucked up, but his suave soft voice and his chest just 🥰
Here's a couple of lists Jules "The Fish" Gill. Games that made you lose friends or the best armor suits in gaming.(Halo, Mass Effect, Metroid, Crysis, Dead Space, Vanquish ect.)

Same, I love turf wars, it's amazingly beneficial sometimes. Only sucks when both monsters are variations of each other and just team up on you.
Memorable events or scenes in video games that give you a nostalgic chuckle. (Ex. Dragonage Flemmeth transformation and your character's face, Halo Cortana's this cave is not a natural formation, Sonic Adventure Knuckles Oh No) 👍love your content bud
They should've kept Knuckles's voice from the E3 demo and not just that line.
Bless you, Jules. Thanks to you I now understand what Monty Python meant when twas sung "I like to push the pram a lot". I had no idea what a pram was. You have enriched my life yet again! Yours truly, an American Egg.
Greatest second chance. When the one installment is terrible but the next exceeds expectations.
I thought if the Arbiter. Does that count?
I'd say either one, such good campaign moments
Hard to believe Metroid Fusion's SA-X wasn't listed here. After you beat it up and send it running, it shows up to deliver some hits on the Omega Metroid, shielding you from harm, and then sacrificing itself for you to absorb to replenish health and gain the Ice Beam needed to harm it. Though, it was less "Want to help you" and more "Hates the boss even more than it hates you". Aaaaand that sacrifice might've been less intentional and more "Samus being opportunistic", but it still fits.
Bioshock 2 has one as well. Augustus Sinclair helps you through most of it, then late in the game you fight him when he's a Big Daddy.
When I saw the titre, I thought about Bowser in Super Mario RPG, he's not there only for a boss but for pretty much the whole game. That's quite an helping hand.
8 video game franchises that need to come back

Dude love these. You sir are a hilarious narrator.
Bladder beer is another good one J...
@6:00 was that a Red Alert 3 reference? What a great deep cut. Well done! :D
What about the games that disrepect our memories of a beloved character?
I'd add Miles Edgeworth or other prosecutors in the "Phoenix Wright" series because they usually team up with you to bring down the true villain of the game in the last case.
Bowser teams up with Mario in quite a few of the games throughout the Mario series
Also Goro Akechi Persona 5 Royal
And Tohru Adachi Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
I figured out a great Tuesday count down. Top 10 bad ass enemy Bears in games. Examples yogi from fallout, bears from skyrim etc.
You forgot Bowser Koopa in Super Mario RPG. Which is my favorite Mario game.
Most memorable moment of Metro: Last Light was when you could get the gargoyle that tends to swoop down and kill you to attack the overgrown praying mantis kaiju in the swamp.
Love the list Jules but I gotta mention some glaring omissions
1. Glados - Portal 2
2. Bowser- Super Mario RPG
3. Giant... Metroid... Larva thingy? - Super Metroid
4. Knuckles - Sonic 3/Sonic & Knuckles

Dynamite headdy was amazing. I spent hours playing it. My sister played it so much she ended up giving herself a nightmare featuring the music haha.
I was hoping more than just Bosses who were killed by scarier bosses, but thanks for the video anyways.

Also Guzma of Team Skull in Pokémon Ultrasun/Ultramoon when Team Rainbow Rocket appears.
