  • Is the fruit flavoured tea in your teacup the real thing? How do you know? In some parts of England, the word tea means much more than what’s in the cup. If you’re inviting guests for afternoon tea, what kind of tea should you provide? There is so much to choose from, it can be overwhelming. Let’s investigate!

Thank you for your interesting tea videos :)
Could you please make soon a video about your tea collection?
I’m a German girl who is living in Paris and I also love tea. I visit the Mariage Frere store every month to get more tea ☺️🫖

Do you think the people that you buy your tea from would like to sponsor you once because I would love to try some of their tea. And if I’m going to buy it because of you, maybe the two of you could work something out. Alas, we don’t have a tea company where I live or a tea shop you might say. But that’s just a thought and do you have information to order tea from the company you use?
I love chamomile tea after my son was born his stomach was a little upset, and we found out that it was because of what I was eating because I breast-fed him. And my OB/GYN said will give him some chamomile tea. He loved it, and the smell of it just brings back such wonderful memories.
I also love Earl Gray anytime is a day or night. My mother always said if you’re sick a good cuppa tea will fix anything.
I really am enjoying your videos very much. I hope you’re getting good responses and all thank you, Kathy.

What a nice thought. 😊 But no, I don’t have an agreement with any of the companies from which I purchase tea. Having said that, one of my favorites is Twinings and I know that you can order from them directly, on line. Amazon also carries some of their teas. I like your mom’s idea - a good cuppa tea will fix anything! ✨

I immediately thought Poirot when I read Tisane. 😁One day I had run out of my usual tea. I searched around in a cupboard and found some tea bags hiding at the back. I thought they smelled a bit odd but may have picked that up from the box that had stored something else. I was wrong. It was camomile tea bought my someone else as a gift. 😝 Yuk, yuk, yuk. Only real tea for me. I don't count herbal tea as tea at all.
When you were in the UK did the waiters look at you strangely when you pronounced 'herbal'? We always pronounce the 'h' here. 😁

Ha, I never order herbal tea, so it was not an issue. 😁

I enjoyed this video immensely. I drink both real tea, and what I've now discovered is tisane. I remember when the Republic of Tea came out with a series of teas named after the characters in the Show Downton Abbey. I had to get them all. I loved the teas and I still love the show. I also order from a company called Plum Deluxe tea. They make their own blends and have a good selection.

You are delightful and your videos are informative and inviting! Just found your channel, binged three videos in a row. 🤍🫖 Subscribed. 💕
As a fellow Texan, (Houston), I do know of a fantastic place with delicious tea, made from scratch treats and lovely decor! McHugh’s tea, (they just went through a change of ownership, though it was sold to friends of theirs). Good prices too. Do stop in if you get the chance!

$105. For a 17oz bag of Marco Polo Tea.
    $33.00 for a 3.5 oz tin
A ridiculous cost for tea I have never tasted.

While Mariage Freres is not an inexpensive brand, just 2 oz of tea will produce about 20 servings. So I find it lasts quite awhile for me, as I don’t drink that particular one every day. I also try not to buy large quantities of tea, (the package I showed is only 4 oz), as I like to keep it fairly fresh. It’s also cheaper to buy in the package and pour it into your own reusable tin. If bought in the tin, you will pay more. Thanks very much for watching!

I was a coffee drinker, but I converted to tea. My preference is British breakfast tea and pu-erh.

I make Sun tea when the Sun is shinning, otherwise I nuke it in the microwave. I guess I need to buy a tea pot.

Yes, indeed! I think making tea from a tea pot is very relaxing. Thanks for watching!

I am a new sub. When i was in my teens, my mother and i went to a shop that sold tea by weight. It was in large glass jars. I loved to smell them. I would always get orange pekoe.

I love places that do that - sell tea in big canisters where customers can take in the wonderful aroma of the leaves. What a lovely memory. Welcome! 😁✨
