Wow the KXD days ! .I'm happy you stuck around 😆 That's a while back . I have a future project to make the KXD smaller with a seat . Hopefully someday.. life is so busy.
@@budgetrydes4820 You know you did a great job reviewing the KXD and the battery mod. That's what got me into really looking at this differently. I was giving it some thought could make the KXD tri-motor with the motor in front along with dual motor skateboard wheels in rear. Just not sure how that would actually work out. Would be some crazy times on it though. 😆
Any cut outs going uphill? Any disconnections going downhill? Any decrease in range, since new? Any screws falling out or flats? It looks like the enclosure gets scratched up quite a bit. You’re the only reviewer of this kit I’ve seen, so far! Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply 😅. Just saw this . You probably already know. The answer is no... but you can buy 2 motors and the $229 kit comes with the bracket . And upgrade that way
No Flats . At all . Even after month there's still pressure in the tires . I think the easiest way is to put Flat-out and carry a pump and you'll have no worries 👍.
@@budgetrydes4820 thanks, I have the Tynee Ultra (belt) with the 260wh 12s battery. So far I'm getting close to 15 miles on the PU wheels, if i get 12 on AT wheels it should be fine. I'll get the conversion kit and if I need more range consider the battery at a later point.
@@TheAegisClaw I have T. Explorer 726Wh and with AT 150mm wheels I get +- 30km of range (I don't drain battery to O, usually I stop riding when there is two/one bar on the controller). So - 12miles on AT wheels and 260wh battery - sounds... strange. Rider 83kg netto, 22-26C, speed up to 34 kmh.

How much was the range affected?
By 20% . I was getting around 3 miles less.
Make sure the tire is rock hard to get better mileage. It's so comfortable and fun !
Also if your worried about range. Buy the extra battery. It's easy to remove and replace. I've done it many times. Great option.
