Twenty years in the glorified crew, I wanted to set the old school rules but I compromised. Instead I reminded everyone how many years I was in the can.
Listened to this entire thing 👍 You really opened my eyes to some of the things the characters do that I'd really never thought about before, example Carmela using religion to try and feel make herself feel better than other people isnt something that ever clicked with me but it definitely is true, cant wait for more
While it doesn't have the action and polish of later seasons, S1 is up there at the top for me. Tony feels like the main character, and his psychological exploration feels more defined, linear and clear than later seasons which were a jumble of random scenes in comparison. You also see more of his family. Gandolfini's voice and attitude also works in context of the story - Tony is still young, optimistic, and trying to reconcile his own life with the American mainstream (see Hit is a Hit for best example). Later, he becomes much more closed and cynical.
Yeah, it's one of my favorite seasons, probably third behind 3 and 4. Mikey Palmice is amazing, and I really love the plots with Vic Makazian and Pussy; Brendan Filone's and Chrissy's struggles trying to gain recognition as gangsters; Jimmy Altieri the rat; and most importantly, Tony's fued with Junior and Livia. That is one of the best plots in the whole series.
I just hate it when they switch up actors on us. The priest, the maids husband, etc. It takes me out of it. Remember bewitched switching Darrens? It's a slap in the face of the public! Wtff?? Stugots!!
It would be really hard to choose the funniest lines, varsity athlete thing and basicly everything Phil Leotardo said are up there. My personal favourite has to be the "catching not pitching" it just made me laugh so hard. 😂😂
Talking to the feds at all breaks the omertà code, so I don’t think it matters. Ade didn’t provide anything of substance either but that still got her killed
There is one big reason why the chasing down and beating up the guy that owed money in the pilot isn't that ludicrous to me. It was before cellphone cameras existed and those few that did was really bad.
@@rufusblue8044 cool scene but that is later in the series after Mike Palmice kills Brendan and Tony beats Mike up and staple his suit to him as a small payback.
The "Knight in White satin Armor" line wasnt as deep as you make it out to be, Tony thru out the whole show listens to and references Classic Rock while driving, etc, and "Knights in White Satin" was a Moody Blues hit song, and it's kind of a play on words how Irrina is trying to quote "Wheres my Knight in Shining armor" and she inserts the line White Satin because of her broken english and crazy accent which she often speaks wrong when trying to use typical american Slang
@PureKino Ahhh Gottcha.. I wondered if that was the Movie that you were talking about but it says this video was uploaded about a month ago.. So I'm assuming it's a re-upload.. lol I LOVE watching these "SopranoLogs" that you've made!! I've been watching for several hours now!! I started with Season 6A and then Season 6B.. Which is backwards lol, but Then I watched Season 1 and currently watching Season 2.. You've done an awesome Job on these!!
Hi Kino- love your Sopranologs! Did you ever notice that it's AJ's birthday on the pilot episode- Meadow and Hunter are talking about school, Tony and his Ducks are in the pool... It's giving early fall vibes. BUT- In Ssn 6 we meet Blanca, and she points out that AJ has the same birthday as Jesse Ventura... Which is *actually* July 15th. ...The only reason I care about this detail is because this makes AJ a Cancer... The whiniest b*tches in the entire zodiac. (I know. I AM one. 😬😂♋🦀) Just a little discrepancy I thought you might enjoy because AJ is SUCH a Cancer. 😂🤷
I don't get it, why compile season one when people can just look through the playlist made for The Sopranos? If I may, this doesn't seen logical to make.
