The reason "Many Saints" was awful is because it's a story told by Christopher Moltisanti -- we already knew he was a bad scriptwriter so the movie stayed true to that fact. Lol
If I had to rewrite young Tony and baby Christopher's interaction in the movie, Chrissy wouldn't be scared of Tony and reaches up to grab and squeeze Tonys nose that Tony finds amusing, just to tie in how he ended up ironically killing Christopher that way

I thought Sally Moltisanti was the wisest character in the Sopranos-verse. He went to jail and became a book nerd put the life behind him and used that time behind bars to better himself. But what do I know he’s a murderer
The fact they had ray liotta play him too made the movie even more confusing than it already was, even as someone who already watched the sopranos series as a whole a couple times
Don't forget about the inconsistencies with the characters' age. Paulie stated to Silvio "I go back to this family to John. Before you even!" And Tony also stated in the Happy Wanderer how Junior used to chase him and Silvio when they were kids. So how is Silvio almost as old as young Paulie in this film? And Tony was a kid during the riots 🤣
A lot of it is fixed by Dickie actually being a drug addict. Better justification for the Italian girl cheating on him, and a better justification for Junior having him popped.
Dunno why he wasn’t I think they wanted to show in fact his addictions were just a rumour but didn’t display that too well could’ve had Harolds gang start the rumour and that in part gets him whacked

Honestly this version of the movie would be perfect. You gave every character an interesting and fleshed out arc and tied them all together using historical figures and details from the show and the actual Newark riots. I also think “not thinking before acting” is a great central theme for Dickie and could be shown in more details and could even connect to some of Tony’s habits later on. The pace also seems like it would flow nicely and keep the movie building at an entertaining rate to a thrilling climax. Overall amazing work 🙏. I look forward to hearing about your changes. Personally I thought Dickie was going to be a junkie, an addict and became a rat. That would explain Tony's concern for Chris when he went to rehab in season 4. Then a soprano would clip Dickie.
@Ale well it's only Tony who glorifies Dickie. And he wasn't in the Life when Dickie died so he didn't know and likely wasn't told. Or in my theory, just a beginner.
Right! Chris said dickie was a junkie and he’s partly who gave him “the disease”. In the movie all we saw was dickie having a quick sip of vodka😂 It’s like the script was written by someone who watched the show during the initial airing only
One of my biggest letdowns from the many saints of Newark is that Joey Diaz didn't play fat fucking Jerry Anastasia who used kill Tony at benihana's with all the tabs he picked up ovah the years!
The Junior/Dickie dynamic was my favorite part of this re-write. Actually adding layers to their feud makes the ending with Dickie's death so much more fleshed out.
Honestly your video made me realize how flawed the movie was. I enjoyed it a lot, but your version is much more cohesive and sensible. You included smarter references to the show than shitty one-liners, while still maintaining the spirit of a new story. Good work as always!
I was trying to find some constructive criticism, but honestly this is so much more engaging and coherent; I can’t find anything I don’t like. Anthony Imperiale is such a clever figure to use. Not only does he link the varying movie storylines, but characters from the show too, and in a meaningful way. Good job Kino, this might be your best work yet.
This movie should’ve just been entirely about Tony and Dickies relationship. Show Tony’s perspective, show dickies perspective then have them come together. And just have it go back and fourth until Dickie gets whacked by uncle junior. Idk why Harold was so prominent in this movie.
Yeah, that was its main flaw. I get wanting to mention the riots, but Harold is a highly useless character, and having him cuck Dickie was just lame and unnecessary.
The thing I "hated" the most about this movie were the stupid refrences of characters that made no sense whatsoever. Along with the age gaps (Silvio and tony) for example. Also really like this rewrite you did here, I like the politic plot a lot.
@@crispyrabbit3455 i dont get how the king of « OHs » didn’t get one « OH » in throughout the movie there was a great opportunity there when harold insulted him and speaking of which…he does absolutely nothing to harold
Pure Kino... this is pure gold. Very very well done. I agree with other comments, your improved storyline highlights the issues with "Many Saints" and ties everything together really well. We appreciate the hard work! Thank you.
To me, the biggest flaw with this whole video was your starting premise. The two first things I would do is cut. Harold and the riots. There's already way more than enough shows and movies about race nowadays and the subject was already explored in the sopranos anyways.
This is my first time on this channel and honestly, I feel like David Chase should hire you for the series being produced right now. I couldn’t find any flaw in your re-write and it all made SO MUCH MORE SENSE. I feel like I just re-watched The Many Saints of Newark in the way it was supposed to be. Can we just scrap the one that came out and restart with you in the Director’s chair?
It didn’t have Ralph in it, the most insulting omission. they need a good actor to play him, or Deepfake and de-age Joey Pantalone or at least him him overdub the dialogue. that alone would make it worth watching. I HAVE COME TO RECLAIM ROME FOR MY PEOPLE!
I like ur rewrite of this, good structure, balance of the show and new, and a mix historical view points and different characters, which makes it interesting 👍 good work
As much as I enjoyed the film, I think your pitch sounds like a much more complete story, as both a standalone crime film and a prequel to The Sopranos. Seriously, great job. One thing from Many Saints I would keep is Giuseppina. Though in this version, she'd be an immigrant who Dickie stumbles upon and tries to put through school as a 'good deed' to ease his consciensce, but eventually begins sleeping with and gets her addicted to heroin, resulting in her overdose that causes Dickie to plummet into depression and guilt near the end of the film.
That would have been thematically so much more satisfying than his saintly acts of coaching kids or whatever. Anything to change her arc into making sense!
I like this, a lot. I'm pretty impressed lol Nice work. I always took the fact that Zelman and Maurice said they renounced violence to mean they advocated violent revolution, like many revolutionary organizations of the time, not that they necessarily used it. But I like this version too 👍 I'd just add too that Anthony Imperiali was a controversial figure even back then and probably no more so than among Italians and Sicilians. At this point (and to some degree still today, like with a lot of my family) Southern Italians and Sicilians didn't/don't consider themselves as "white" (Michael Imperioli even said this in a Talking Sopranos episode and his family was from a totally different area, so this is clearly not uncommon and even less so back then) so "Keep Newark White" wouldn't be much of a rallying call for em. I know most of my family would have opposed him and they wouldn't have been alone. I'm "mixed" Sicilian and black because when my family came over they went south to escape the bs of the City and ended up subject to Jim Crow Laws and lived, worked, and socialized with the kids of former slaves sharecropping til they ran back to NYC and lived in mixed areas of immigrants and southern black folks. This wasn't all that long before this era. It's mad complicated and most people don't seem to really understand it, but I am living proof that Anthony Imperiali types were not the norm and didn't have anything like widespread support. Unfortunately the situation was bad for a lotta our relatives that came over and some chose to sell out their culture to assimilate and in doing so were some of the loudest bigots around to gain acceptance from the "white" majority. But not all did. And sadly the ones that refused to do so get erased more often than not. Also, Zelman is a Jewish civil rights guy, not sure why he'd intern for Imperiali? Or if Imperiali would even have him?
Bruh. During the Newark riots Italians were against the blacks rioting in Newark. Imperioli would definitely fit the narrative in this movie. To say Italians wouldn't be for Imperioli during that time is dumb. Most Italians from that time hated blacks anyways. Stick to slip and fall school kid.
Very good fix, you combined the original with the prequel and stuck to history of the riots. You also brought in the addiction aspect of Dickie, which Christopher was so pissed off about at the party at his house. Great fix 👍
This is an absolute masterpiece by you sir. I had my hesitations, especially with you keeping in Harold. However you used him perfectly. Bravo!! This is what this movie should’ve have been!!
Bro, I love your movie version. The parallels and the flow of the story, it's clean and straight to the point. I hope someday they remake it just like the version you presented. 10/10 Pal
I would say that was definitely a lottt more solid Kino! It'd be interesting filming the scene where Dickie loses it and starts the riot, I think that would be challenging to film, but is doable. As an important scene you'd have to nail showing the crowd escalation and Dickie's flip from cool wise guy to raging mobster monster. I still feel like Junior should have had more of a specific final trigger in deciding to kill Dickie, than just a laugh after a slip and fall. Definitely something a writer would flesh out. The slip and fall embarrassment to murder of a made man just doesn't work for me as this is. And why wouldn't the crew potentially think it's Harold that got Dickie? Despite what Junior says about Jilly Ruffalo. Also I wish there was at least one touch of the supernatural in this all to really capture the Sopranos spirit. Like the house from Tony's dreams and coma. But all in all a great "How they should have done it"!
I would also add in Johnny going to jail just like it happened in the movie, which would further cement Dickie's relationship with Tony And on the reason Dickie and Joanne get into a fight, which would be him drinking and seeming drunk, in addition to not caring for Chrissie as much. I don't see why Joanne would bring up Tony tho
Not a bad rewrite! I can't think of any specific ideas for this movie, probably because the whole thing felt unnecessary. I would have loved Chase making a prequel film (I really love his movie 'Not Fade Away') but that's not what we got. I don't see how a movie that incorporates a black narrative can relate to The Sopranos, a series that for 7 years lacked a black central character. This movie needed to just be about Tony and Dickie EDIT: I just couldn't buy the the Junior I know never hinted that he killed the father of his nephew's protege whom he interacted with constantly
Junior, in truth, never had the makings of a varsity athlete or the mobster equivalent of a varsity athlete, but he knew the rules well enough to know the consequences for killing a made man without going through proper channels. He can fuck up just about any given situation in the Sopranos/mob universe, but he could still know how to weasel out of trouble because that’s all Junior ever has been. A weasel.
The movie didn’t feel like the show. It was shot with different lenses or filters or something that made the whole thing look like an old time photo or something. It was like another universe
The movie was directed by Alan Taylor who wrote some of the best stuff for the show and was co written by Lawrence Konner who also wrote some stuff of first half of show as well. Although I do agree that David Chase really dropped the ball on this one idk how it turned out so bad.
In the early seasons it seems like Silvio is much older than Tony/Jackie Sr./Ralphie. And Tony refers to Silvio as "no spring chicken." Says he is getting "strange in his old age"
Then there’s Sil saying “I’ve known you since you were a kid Tone.” Instead of him saying we’ve known each other since we were kids. I always figured Silvio had 5-6 years on Tony
It’s displayed correctly though no? Sil was a balding man in his late 20s I assumed in many saints (cracked up when I saw it never realised sil was bald😂)
@@jeremiahlawson6575 « when we was kids we had our own little crew me, your dad, tony and silvio dante « This was a direct quote from ralphie telling jackie junior about the card game Sil was about two years older than tony
Tony can't be the one to kill Dickie, because in all of the Sopranos we have a large acces to his mind-his memories, his psyche, his dreams, his day to day thoughts. I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't ever recall Dickie, or that he'd never feel guilt and remorse over the killing of his "nephew's" and protege's father
Saints of Newark gets a pass for a couple three reasons- 1 everything covid era released has been garbage 2 it’s sopranos, you are supposed to hate it for a bit 3 *redacted via youtube*
What does black glorification mean? That film's portraiture of Afro-Amer. is glorified compared to the tv show? I'm really asking, not trying to provoke or insult enibody (I'm not from us)
Not really talked about sopranos fact Jackie Aprile was 44 in 1998 but tony was 39 idk if it's just me but I just think that's a bit far in age to be childhood friends
Even as you call it an imperfect version of the movie.. It beats the hell outta what Chase wrote, he's left a thousand holes.. While being way out side the way we'd pictured it playing out from the show.. At least yours puts the parts of the show & movie together!! Well played sir, well played indeed!!
I think you might've put more work into this than the actual screenwriters, lol. I'd love to see your version as a movie, though I suspect it might be hard to fit all that context into a standard film runtime
I like that in your version there are so many call backs to existing characters; i was really hoping to see that in this movie, even if was just going to be small cameos
Kino. You should review Dune. Become the HBO reviewer. Theres so much content on HBO just waiting for you to break down and review. The throne is yours
Christopher used his Dad’s drug use as a justification for his. A rumour started by the black hole that is Livia Soprano. It implies Christopher’s life could have taken a different trajectory.
@@TruthSpeaker94 I agree with that, and I am willing to make it work because I love The Sopranos, but that is her retroactive continuity thing rather than something that should have been true from the start. But I agree with you that I'm willing to make it work because I love the series. It's just something that should have been addressed one way or the other.
He did. What Junior did woulda cause a lot of beef in the family. Dickie wasn't made but it was explained he was bringing the in the most money out of everyone. Killing a guy like that without justification/permission would put Junior in the bad books with his higher ups and he himself may be killed. For example, Lefty Rosenthal was Jewish but he ran the mob casinos in Vegas. He made the mob so much money that he was untouchable. Attacking him would be like attacking a boss. While not on the same level, Dickie made his family a lot of money, which in a way made him more important than many made men.
I think we all should have known no matter what story was being told, it was never going to work as long as it was in movie format. What made Sopranos so good was the quiet and ordinary moments and you just don't have time for that in a movie like you do a TV show. The Sopranos had unfocused plot lines but it didn't matter because that wasn't the most important part of the show. But in a movie, what happens is everything.
Wow ten minutes into this video and it’s already ALL BETTER. Damn bro THIS was the movie we needed… htf did Chase wind up with what we got??? This version here seems not just perfect but SO OBVIOUS.
I like how your version puts a lot of the different pieces together, which was missing from the original movie. WhIle I was watching the scene where Dickie is disposing his father's body, I was expecting him to dump him in the middle of the riots and make it look like he had been murdered by the african american protesters, which would then escalate the conflict between them and the italian americans. It could have also added some more depth to the film as it would give the opportunity to explore how Dickie deals with being responsible for escalating a tension between the two groups. At least even a small change such as that could have brought the storylines together a bit more.
Bravo, Kino! You have weaved your vast knowledge of the original series into a uniquely creative screenplay. Your well-presented story is engaging, and tastefully carries the soul of the Sopranos, as a Prequel I would line up to see.
I know I'm late for this party but I've only just seen this right now, and I have to say this story would've given the movie much more of an actual point, and also sounds a lot more entertaining and engaging. The only things the actual movie gave us was some great performances, and somewhat showed that the ball that Harold got rolling eventually resulted in the broken down, drug addled ghetto sides of Newark that we saw in the show. It also kinda showed the beginnings of the decline of the mafia, and that it was Junior who killed Dickie. So it was basically illustrating the same point the show already did, that organized crime in general is nothing but a f'd up and parasitical virus orchestrated by a bunch of greedy, neurotic, sociopathic f'k ups. I somewhat liked it at first (I think because of the main performances) but second time it fell totally flat with me. This story however, sounds like a well thought out Scorsesean saga of the show's historical past that could also stand alone as it's own thing, and something that would've better stood up to further scrutiny upon multiple viewings.
Chase cant help himself. He has to try to be artsy in the sense that continuity means nothing to him haha. I think the mixed message with the African American gangsters and the Italians pissed me off the most. Chase spent like decades saying crime doesn't pay and they are bad people.. then ends his movie with a heroic move to the Burbs for Harold. Just my opinion but yeah. I agree that Dickie didn't seem right. He wasn't an addict and I didn't understand if he had mental issues or not. But yeah - your Ideas are great.
WOW! You totally fixed it! This would have been great to see and it makes way more sense the way it connects. The only thing I would add is a little more Tony. Great job!
I upvoted you in agreement however if you examine US politics in the past there were many cases where Democrats pushed racist agenda and Republicans, for political gain, were their opposition in such cases. All im saying is, the partisan rivalry has historically been more important to either side over their ideals.
Even if he were liberal it didn't prevent him from rubbing elbows with mobsters and such so why would a younger version of himself draw the line against a racist?
Newark riots and Harold it's something completely unimportant. ruins the entire film by wanting to build another parallel narrative that doesn't talk about sopranos. In fact, if it hadn't been released under the auspices of the Sopranos title, this film wouldn't have been produced even by a second-rate studio with a low budget. Imagine throwing away an entire movie of sopranos because you wanted to pay tolls for the American Art Patrol and make "big social critiques." It would be more interesting to sit all the actors at a table and let them talk about the show
I also enjoyed the movie, but yeah it tried to do way too much with far too short of a time. The show absolutely could have taken the plot elements of the movie and expounded upon them for 13 episodes and given everyone the characterization David Chase is famous for. Dickie as written was basically a non- entity, and the only thing that held my real interest was Jr. Tony and his future crew. I’d like to see more focused specifically on that, what Dickie meant to Tony, and how that eventually contrasted with his Junior relationship (especially given the ending) Little things though were annoying. I know Silvio and Tony’s age difference were made retroactively that of Lil Steven and James gandolfini’s, but Silvio was clearly supposed to be about the same age during the show. Paulie was always older, but Silvio had a kid in high school. Ditto Pussy, roughly Tony’s contemporary in age regardless of Vincent Pastore’s actual age. Given the fact James G and Michael I were a few years apart in age, but played 16 years difference, I don’t see why to make that retroactive and unnecessary change (Paulie and Silvio were easily the worst part of that movie)
I remember when Many Saints was announced I was super pumped for it, then it came out and I watched it and it was such a let down that I never even revisited it. Your version would definitely be an improvement.
I thought your version was much better than the movie, but I would also make it so that Dickie and Harold were childhood friends like in the movie, so that there's more emotional weight to their conflict
Excellent work! Thanks to you, I now understand this movie. You make it “ flow”. You also piqued my curiosity about the real history of Newark during that era. I am currently doing research on it . I believe that your talents and insight has opened the door to deeper analysis and appreciation for this film. 👍
This Movie isn’t a “bad” movie, It’s just that we hold The Sopranos to sucha high standard. I still think considering how many “Main Plots” this movie had it’d be better as a mini-series
I only liked the fan service and the fan service is easy. Young Lydia and Young tony were the best parts and we didn't get near enough time. Really hope the actor who plays the kid doesn't get screwed by this.
I would add old man Bacala to the mix. Have him help with the New England thing and ultimately have him kill Dickie. The man was called the Terminator. And I want to more of the fall out of Dickies death, I feel like Jonny Boy should have figured it was Junior and confronted and cover for him in the end.
I dont see how Satriale's was mob run in 1967. wasn't there an episode depicting how Johnny Boy took control of the pork store in the 1970s through old man Satriale's gambling debts? Johnny cuts off his finger and later on its said Satiale killed himself.
Bro i dont understand how they let things like this happen i get they are little details but the show itself was built on tiny details that brought the whole thing together i know the show came out 20 years ago but couldn’t the writers at least rewatch the show so there wouldn’t be so many plotholes?
It was a disgrace how they ended the movie with Harold coming out on top over Moltisanti, while The Sopranos theme is playing in the background. Slap in the face
You did a Great job, I think you deserve credit. This comment isn’t at all saying you did a bad job. You didn’t, you did great on how you fixed it! The truth is that The Biggest problem with this movie is the False Advertising. They used a young Tony played by James Gandolfini’s son who was Fantastic to promote the movie. When the movie played You hardly got Tony and his crew at all. This backfired on them big time. I could give two craps about Dickie except how he shaped Tony and I could care less about what social problems were happening in the movie. I wanted to see are beloved characters! I wanted to see a young Tony get made, when he stuck up the card game, how he and his relationship with Carmela developed. They did a bait and switch. It doesn’t matter how good the story could of been written it was going to be a let down. I think you did a good job to clean it up but nobody wanted a whole movie about Dickie, nobody really cared. Now if they promoted the movie and said it was about Dickie and it was about the riots and social issues and the mobs role in it, if they called it a “Soprano world story” I would be way more open to it but because of the false advertising, it was a let down before it even started. What were they thinking? They wasted having James Gandolfini son play Tony Soprano and he did and would do a fantastic job. They need to actually go back and give us what we want. They owe us after this stupid movie.
Great version you created. One thing I would add is the way Dick Moltisanti Sr. Got angry with Giuseppina and threw her down the stairs for something small like putting the soap in the wrong place in the bathroom. I know this act connects OCD to some mob guys in the show like Paulie. But it seems really unbelievable/unrealistic for domestic violence due to this reason.
No because violence escalates to the point your mam'is so scared she'll hold round round you'and lock us in the toilet. Then dad boots the door in,ranting .I'm just surprised he didn't threaten her to eat the fing soap. Hwre for the 70s . I love them still.

“Who told you to do that?!”
Pure Kino: It's tough nowadays to just put a drama out there in theaters with no streaming service backing. Everything out there now are the comic books.
David Chase: You know, Quasimoto predicted all of this
I look forward to hearing about your changes.
Personally I thought Dickie was going to be a junkie, an addict and became a rat. That would explain Tony's concern for Chris when he went to rehab in season 4.
Then a soprano would clip Dickie.
same
@Ale well it's only Tony who glorifies Dickie. And he wasn't in the Life when Dickie died so he didn't know and likely wasn't told. Or in my theory, just a beginner.
@@roguebritgravy1 nah he was like an uncle to him
Tremendous
Nor did he ever encourage Harold to "stay black!"
His version sucked too.
So real
I'm a "Sopranos can do no wrong" kinda guy, but I gotta say, what you're layin' down here is vastly superior...and I'm only on act one!
Hugh being 15-16 during the end of WW2 some what makes sense. There have been stories of many drafties being younger than 18
Kino never had the makings of a varsity writer
It’s virtue signaling
Yeah, that was its main flaw. I get wanting to mention the riots, but Harold is a highly useless character, and having him cuck Dickie was just lame and unnecessary.
The thing I "hated" the most about this movie were the stupid refrences of characters that made no sense whatsoever. Along with the age gaps (Silvio and tony) for example.
Also really like this rewrite you did here, I like the politic plot a lot.
Silvio looked older than Paulie 🤦🏻♂️

Pure Kino... this is pure gold. Very very well done. I agree with other comments, your improved storyline highlights the issues with "Many Saints" and ties everything together really well. We appreciate the hard work! Thank you.
My estimation of Kino as a man, just fuckin skyrocketed
To me, the biggest flaw with this whole video was your starting premise. The two first things I would do is cut. Harold and the riots. There's already way more than enough shows and movies about race nowadays and the subject was already explored in the sopranos anyways.
we need to get kino on this prequel series.
His rewrite sucked too.
To me the film feels like the first part of a trilogy! It would have made a much better miniseries actually

Without a doubt THIS is how the film should've gone down. Excellent job.
How much more betrayal can I take
Do you feel like you've been stabbed in the heart?
Just a small critique. You have Harold realizing that Dickie shot his friend like 3 times. Otherwise it was really good.
it's a real tragedy
Chase was injecting some good dope when he wrote the original script. I love this version.
I like this, a lot. I'm pretty impressed lol Nice work.
I always took the fact that Zelman and Maurice said they renounced violence to mean they advocated violent revolution, like many revolutionary organizations of the time, not that they necessarily used it. But I like this version too 👍
I'd just add too that Anthony Imperiali was a controversial figure even back then and probably no more so than among Italians and Sicilians.
Great fix 👍
A thousand times better. You should send this to David Chase.
This is an absolute masterpiece by you sir. I had my hesitations, especially with you keeping in Harold. However you used him perfectly. Bravo!! This is what this movie should’ve have been!!
This Kino kid is more creative than Spielberg. Great vid bro. U got a new subscriber.
Welcome to the crew!
I would also add in Johnny going to jail just like it happened in the movie, which would further cement Dickie's relationship with Tony
And on the reason Dickie and Joanne get into a fight, which would be him drinking and seeming drunk, in addition to not caring for Chrissie as much. I don't see why Joanne would bring up Tony tho
I'd pay to see your version, honestly! You did some great work here, buddy!!
Not me. It sucked too.
This movie needed to just be about Tony and Dickie
EDIT: I just couldn't buy the the Junior I know never hinted that he killed the father of his nephew's protege whom he interacted with constantly
A weasel.
Sounds like you just don't like black people.
@@REDEEMERWOLF lol, where is that from? I forget.

This movie makes sense when you realize Chase wrote it. He rode the laurels of other writers in the show.
The movie was directed by Alan Taylor who wrote some of the best stuff for the show and was co written by Lawrence Konner who also wrote some stuff of first half of show as well. Although I do agree that David Chase really dropped the ball on this one idk how it turned out so bad.

Just a series of gags and references done poorly. Would have been better even if fucking little Carmine directed it
Were not making a western here
The Many Saints of Newark, whatever happened there.

@@elgamerico YES YES
Beansie would make a better antagonist than Harold.
I would also set up the possibility of Eckley, Johnny Boy, and Tony killing Dickie.
This would be so cool! If only it didn’t cost so much to either produce or animate!
12:49 is when you had me. Quite impressive the depth you've explored with the characters from the show in a meaningful way!
I would’ve kept the scene where Tony calls Dickie and beats up Jackie cos it fits in
I remember when Kino used to wait in the car. And as far as I'm concerned, he should still be there!
Saints of Newark gets a pass for a couple three reasons-
1 everything covid era released has been garbage
2 it’s sopranos, you are supposed to hate it for a bit
3 *redacted via youtube*
This movie rewrite captures everything about Sopranos, even the black glorification intentional or not, it's an overlooked part of the show.
How could it be "an overlooked part of the show" that was about Italians.?
That's like Scarface being about Cubans.
I still can't believe they didn't show feech get robbed
It’ll be in the sequel
Wow someone really should have hired Purekino for this film, extremely well done 👌🏻
The movie should have been much longer. Your re-write was spot on.
I like that in your version there are so many call backs to existing characters; i was really hoping to see that in this movie, even if was just going to be small cameos
Kino. You should review Dune. Become the HBO reviewer. Theres so much content on HBO just waiting for you to break down and review.
The throne is yours
Hell yea. I'd love for him to do a breakdown of The Leftovers.
When you said "Artie runs" you so should have used the clip from the Christopher Columbus episode lol
I wish this movie went into Dickey's drug use since that's such a core component of who Christopher is and Dickies backstory yet they never go into it
I guess Dickie being a junkie was just rumors from The Sopranos smdh
Christopher used his Dad’s drug use as a justification for his. A rumour started by the black hole that is Livia Soprano. It implies Christopher’s life could have taken a different trajectory.
@@TruthSpeaker94 I agree with that, and I am willing to make it work because I love The Sopranos, but that is her retroactive continuity thing rather than something that should have been true from the start. But I agree with you that I'm willing to make it work because I love the series. It's just something that should have been addressed one way or the other.
Outstanding analysis. Big congratulations.
The Harold subplot was fucking unnecessary and horrible
10.51 in and I’m already sold on your version. Silvio pushed me over the edge.
Did Junior violate Mafia rules by ordering Dicky's murder?
Don’t quote me on it but I don’t think Dickie was made. Just an associate.
Take Harold out of the movie.
Want Harold out because he was kicking ass
Tbh a big change I'd do to the og movie is if silvio wasnt in it and paulie did all the dialogue that silvio did
The intro was very similar to the intro to Pet Cemetary (Stephen King). Very allegorical.
alright man silvio was always said to be older than tony, he's like 10 years older than tony
I'm not even halfway into this and this is the film I want to see.
Kino has 12 films under his subspecies.
There could have been that shit with the Columbians or Old man Baccala being the Terminator but we got Harold and a def jam poetry session.
10:54 - THIS! Must include the pastor and his son. Great idea! 👍🏻

Great job!
The Sopranos series gave me the impression that Zellman was a liberal. So, I couldn't picture him interning for a racist like Imperiale.
I upvoted you in agreement however if you examine US politics in the past there were many cases where Democrats pushed racist agenda and Republicans, for political gain, were their opposition in such cases. All im saying is, the partisan rivalry has historically been more important to either side over their ideals.
@@bartzhang391 Good point! 👍
Even if he were liberal it didn't prevent him from rubbing elbows with mobsters and such so why would a younger version of himself draw the line against a racist?
In 1967, the Democrats were racist as fuck.
@@Padruig9-- lol, so the entire south was run by democrats?
I’d like to see more focused specifically on that, what Dickie meant to Tony, and how that eventually contrasted with his Junior relationship (especially given the ending)
Little things though were annoying.
I liked it but it made me a bit mad that I have been waiting year's for THIS

Idk i think Chase was doped out of his mind… I guess he’ll say “The Many Saints of Newark is Canon”
Can’t believe the oversight not to mention that there was more narration featured in season 6B, during The Second Coming I believe. When AJ reads the poem by Yeets
It's a revenge fantasy.
