I noticed I have a trigger point in my chart at 11° ♏. On the days of each of my parent's deaths (12 years apart) Jupiter was at 11° ♏. I noticed this and assumed it as being significant. (I mean, what are the odds of that?) But I don't have any planets there. The closest is Saturn at 4°. But it turns out my lot of spirit is at 10° ♏. Is it possible that is what was triggered in my chart?
@@KindredSpirit1010 It is possible. I wouldn't normally associate it with that, and there could be other factors going on as well, but it might be worth looking into. After all the Lot of Spirit calculation is composed of the two luminaries.

Babylonian, Hellenistic and psychological astrology taught me that astrology is a road map of life with death being the ultimate goal but also like a board game, you can fall into traps half way there even while taking the prescribed route. Sometimes other outside forces and energies push you into taking the backroads and giving you side trips along the way and picking up strangers or dropping off friends at pit stops. You have control of the wheel and how fast you want to go but fate is all the roads you take to get to where you’re going. I came up with this metaphor while Listening to this dialogue. Thank you.

Peak periods explains something I've wondered about. People with great talent, say, singers, who never 'make it big', while others, less talented, do so. The Masters of the Universe who think they are successful because they made it all on their own, need to get a clue from this!

If we incarnate to learn certain lessons for our souls evolution this makes perfect sense. I will be 69 this year and have decided to start learning astrology to be prepared for my next incarnation choices. I feel I have lived several different lives within this one lifetime. This actually helps me feel more normal and less like I would have had mental issues or multiple personalities that took over at various times. Maybe because I am old I find it comforting because most of my life has already happened. Thank you for your time, the sharing of your knowledge and your willingness.

40:00 this is similar to the concept of starting the Dasha sequence from different points in the chart (Moon, Ascendant, etc) interesting research idea would be to use part of fortune to start the maha Dasha sequence - in vedic parlance

I tried this on a few charts myself including those of Rob Hand and Winston Churchill. Churchill's peak period started from 1937 and of course the early part of the 1930s though considered the wilderness years for him were spent understanding Hitler through the lens of history & Louis XIV. And Rob Hand's peak period coincided with his foray into traditional astrology, the translations, the discovery of Sect, his work with the 2 other Roberts. It's a brilliant tool. And I'm grateful to Chris Brennan for introducing me to it.
Twice I have concieved as soon as I progressed into an L1 period. The L2 has been the rising sign for both my children and the L3 has been their moon sign.

Thank you both so so much for this information. I will likewise go back into my regular existential philosophical space to digest this confirmation of what I've observed in my own life. My life has been well-demarcated by extreme and unforeseen (mostly tragic) events from infancy onward, so it is easy for me to recall what was happening during the foreshadowing periods and the LBs themselves, and the beginning and ending of the before, during and after peaks. I also have no planets in-sect, so examining planetary condition and rulership in my natal chart from this ZR vantage was fascinating. Where I'm at with timing at present is also very illuminating and encouraging in spite of the constant and unending challenges my chart reflects for this lifetime. I neither have enough nor adequate words for how much I appreciate your work on this technique, nor for my gratitude to you for generously sharing this. Thank you

4:06 Ironically, I find the older perspective to be more modern; I think of a natal chart as like a circuit board where electricity can flow through and be blocked differently at different times.

Thank you both for sharing this technique and for all of your work researching. It’s fascinating. Neuroscience does not really believe in free will at he moment. It’s a big debate. Studies have shown that decisions are made in the brain before the individual becomes consciously aware of those decisions. This fits in perfectly with the debate occurring there.

This was great! While the planet-based Vimshottari dasha system is the most common in Vedic astrology, the Time Lords system more closely resembles the sign-based Chara dasha system in Jaimini.
Ernst Wilhelm has a video on Chara dashas. 'Rasi' = sign. Chris, you had a great interview with him which I thoroughly enjoyed. "Jaimini Astrology Rasi Dasas #1: Introduction to Rasi Dasas"
So far I've had 2 LB from Spirit, and 2 LB from Fortune, and 1 LB from Eros. I had an LB release from all 3 at the same time - Dec 1991 - the year I finished high school - a major freedom for me. And I'm in another LB this year.
The year I finished high school (2010) there was a LB from Spirit and Eros and a peak from Fortune. That year major decisions were made considering university (Spirit LB) and I had a very active romantic life with several girls (Eros LB). It was also a time of overconsumerism (Fortune peak in Pisces).
@@Psyle_ I had LBs and peak periods with all 3 lots, and guess what? Nothing specific happened during those times. There were however major events, positive and negative, in my life - and no peak period activated. Same with family members and friends. This is the first method in astrology that doesn't convince me at all. It is easy to find confirming examples backwards. That's called bias. It is said that cancer periods are subjectively the happiest for me according to a traditional astrologer. I had the most awful relationship during cancer period. I do respect and appreciate the time both put into this episode. This is just not for me. We have so many methods in astrology. Why complicate things?!
@@Applepie910 Issues with zodiacal releasing arise from unrectified charts. Change the degree of the ascendant and see how the 7 hermetic lots may change signs. That being said, all charts are not always sensitive to the same techniques and that's also natural because we are not meant to be using the exact same tools. ZR is not merely confirmation bias because other people and I have been able to predict future events with ZR. Besides the countless examples from the past which exactly fit the symbolism (not only of peak periods, but also of LB, of foreshadowing periods, of new chapters, of spirit ruler activation,and more..)
This is one of those videos i've kept in my 'Watch Later' for such a long time because, while I wanted to watch it, I did NOT think I would get through 4 and a half hours of a podcast but I did! This is my experience as well. I have a night chart with Saturn exalted in Libra as my chart ruler opposite Venus in detriment in Aries, and it's always a mixed bag in terms of "good" and "bad" things happening in my life to the point where it's hard to define which is which. (And to complicate matters further, Saturn is Rx exactly conjunct Jupiter Rx in the 9th, and Venus is conjunct my Sun and Mars in Aries.) 3:09:15

28:00 : I have an explanation for free-will vs predetermined. They are both true. it depends on what you know, and how you got that knowledge. These days we learn from books and courses. It is knowledge someone else gathered. You can grasp knowledge you are being thought because you can analyse and understand. But understanding ‘the wheel’ and how it functions, is not the same as inventing it. Why did the ancients have this feeling to look up to be able to understand themselves? What was obvious then, that isn’t anymore? I believe astrology is like mathematics of energies that surround you. You could calculate any influence you get. It would turn you into a mathematical formula, being a victim of some divine designer without free will. But when you are part of this whirlpool of energies, the thought of you being a victim without free will, also changes who you are. And you are adding that thought energy to the whirlpool. These days a lot of negative thoughts, are creating a new reality. Thoughts of being victims and prisoners, transform our reality, in physical energy. So in free will we create a new universe. Because we don’t like having no free will. We change the stars, we change everything, with our hearts and our free will. Ome day we will all remember who we are. One day we will all remember why we had to forget. There is a divine logic to ‘things’ and there is free will. It’s all up to you to create whatever you want.

Thank you so much for this. I have been curious about this technique since I heard about it. I am grateful for this clear explanation, which seems just enough to get started. You had my full attention when I checked the L1 periods against my own chronology. In all of my years of practicing astrology, I have never seen a timing technique that worked this well "right out of the box," as it were. I had a thought when you were talking about the Part of Fortune pertaining to those whose work is physical and the Part of Spirit pertaining to those whose work is intellectual. I wonder if it has more to do with social class than the physical/mental division. This is not so much the case today, but historically, those who did physical work usually were usually in the lower classes and those who did mental work were in the higher classes. In modern times, there is much more social mobility and, at least theoretically, more widespread freedom of action. Historically, though, people in higher classes tended to have more freedom of action than those in lower classes. Anyways, that is just an idea.

Using the depositor of my chart, (Venus and moon in Taurus) & house position (ruling 3 & 4) Taurus=8 Gemini=20 All of my four children were born during that 28 year time period, Gemini rules my 5th house of children.

I noticed I have a trigger point in my chart at 11° ♏. On the days of each of my parent's deaths (12 years apart) Jupiter was at 11° ♏. I noticed this and assumed it as being significant. (I mean, what are the odds of that?) But I don't have any planets there. The closest is Saturn at 4°. But it turns out my lot of spirit is at 10° ♏. Is it possible that is what was triggered in my chart?
@@KindredSpirit1010 It is possible. I wouldn't normally associate it with that, and there could be other factors going on as well, but it might be worth looking into. After all the Lot of Spirit calculation is composed of the two luminaries.

Babylonian, Hellenistic and psychological astrology taught me that astrology is a road map of life with death being the ultimate goal but also like a board game, you can fall into traps half way there even while taking the prescribed route. Sometimes other outside forces and energies push you into taking the backroads and giving you side trips along the way and picking up strangers or dropping off friends at pit stops. You have control of the wheel and how fast you want to go but fate is all the roads you take to get to where you’re going. I came up with this metaphor while Listening to this dialogue. Thank you.

Peak periods explains something I've wondered about. People with great talent, say, singers, who never 'make it big', while others, less talented, do so. The Masters of the Universe who think they are successful because they made it all on their own, need to get a clue from this!

If we incarnate to learn certain lessons for our souls evolution this makes perfect sense. I will be 69 this year and have decided to start learning astrology to be prepared for my next incarnation choices. I feel I have lived several different lives within this one lifetime. This actually helps me feel more normal and less like I would have had mental issues or multiple personalities that took over at various times. Maybe because I am old I find it comforting because most of my life has already happened.

Zodiacal releasing is quite similar to the Chara Dasha and other rashi dashas used in the Jaimini system of Indian astrology. Fascinating!

I tried this on a few charts myself including those of Rob Hand and Winston Churchill. Churchill's peak period started from 1937 and of course the early part of the 1930s though considered the wilderness years for him were spent understanding Hitler through the lens of history & Louis XIV. And Rob Hand's peak period coincided with his foray into traditional astrology, the translations, the discovery of Sect, his work with the 2 other Roberts. It's a brilliant tool. And I'm grateful to Chris Brennan for introducing me to it.

My life has been well-demarcated by extreme and unforeseen (mostly tragic) events from infancy onward, so it is easy for me to recall what was happening during the foreshadowing periods and the LBs themselves, and the beginning and ending of the before, during and after peaks. I also have no planets in-sect, so examining planetary condition and rulership in my natal chart from this ZR vantage was fascinating. Where I'm at with timing at present is also very illuminating and encouraging in spite of the constant and unending challenges my chart reflects for this lifetime. Thank you both for sharing this technique and for all of your work researching. It’s fascinating. Neuroscience does not really believe in free will at he moment. It’s a big debate. Studies have shown that decisions are made in the brain before the individual becomes consciously aware of those decisions. This fits in perfectly with the debate occurring there.

This was great! While the planet-based Vimshottari dasha system is the most common in Vedic astrology, the Time Lords system more closely resembles the sign-based Chara dasha system in Jaimini.
Ernst Wilhelm has a video on Chara dashas. 'Rasi' = sign. Chris, you had a great interview with him which I thoroughly enjoyed. "Jaimini Astrology Rasi Dasas #1: Introduction to Rasi Dasas"
So far I've had 2 LB from Spirit, and 2 LB from Fortune, and 1 LB from Eros. I had an LB release from all 3 at the same time - Dec 1991 - the year I finished high school - a major freedom for me. And I'm in another LB this year.
The year I finished high school (2010) there was a LB from Spirit and Eros and a peak from Fortune. That year major decisions were made considering university (Spirit LB) and I had a very active romantic life with several girls (Eros LB). It was also a time of overconsumerism (Fortune peak in Pisces).
@@Psyle_ I had LBs and peak periods with all 3 lots, and guess what? Nothing specific happened during those times.
There were however major events, positive and negative, in my life - and no peak period activated. Same with family members and friends.
This is the first method in astrology that doesn't convince me at all.
It is easy to find confirming examples backwards. That's called bias. It is said that cancer periods are subjectively the happiest for me according to a traditional astrologer. I had the most awful relationship during cancer period.
I do respect and appreciate the time both put into this episode. This is just not for me.
We have so many methods in astrology. Why complicate things?!
@@Applepie910 Issues with zodiacal releasing arise from unrectified charts. Change the degree of the ascendant and see how the 7 hermetic lots may change signs. That being said, all charts are not always sensitive to the same techniques and that's also natural because we are not meant to be using the exact same tools. ZR is not merely confirmation bias because other people and I have been able to predict future events with ZR. Besides the countless examples from the past which exactly fit the symbolism (not only of peak periods, but also of LB, of foreshadowing periods, of new chapters, of spirit ruler activation,and more..)
This is one of those videos i've kept in my 'Watch Later' for such a long time because, while I wanted to watch it, I did NOT think I would get through 4 and a half hours of a podcast but I did! You guys spoke about this in a really easy to follow way to understand & I truly learned a lot, so thank you for this! ^^ This technique is crazy, i'll be sitting with the thought of how much free will we truly have for a while still, but I don't regret learning about this at all
This is my experience as well. I have a night chart with Saturn exalted in Libra as my chart ruler opposite Venus in detriment in Aries, and it's always a mixed bag in terms of "good" and "bad" things happening in my life to the point where it's hard to define which is which. (And to complicate matters further, Saturn is Rx exactly conjunct Jupiter Rx in the 9th, and Venus is conjunct my Sun and Mars in Aries.) 3:09:15

They are both true. it depends on what you know, and how you got that knowledge.
These days we learn from books and courses. It is knowledge someone else gathered. You can grasp knowledge you are being thought because you can analyse and understand. But understanding ‘the wheel’ and how it functions, is not the same as inventing it. Why did the ancients have this feeling to look up to be able to understand themselves? What was obvious then, that isn’t anymore?
I believe astrology is like mathematics of energies that surround you. You could calculate any influence you get. It would turn you into a mathematical formula, being a victim of some divine designer without free will.
But when you are part of this whirlpool of energies, the thought of you being a victim without free will, also changes who you are. And you are adding that thought energy to the whirlpool.
These days a lot of negative thoughts, are creating a new reality. Thoughts of being victims and prisoners, transform our reality, in physical energy. So in free will we create a new universe. Because we don’t like having no free will. We change the stars, we change everything, with our hearts and our free will.
Ome day we will all remember who we are. One day we will all remember why we had to forget. There is a divine logic to ‘things’ and there is free will.

Thank you so much for this. I have been curious about this technique since I heard about it. I am grateful for this clear explanation, which seems just enough to get started. You had my full attention when I checked the L1 periods against my own chronology. In all of my years of practicing astrology, I have never seen a timing technique that worked this well "right out of the box," as it were.
I had a thought when you were talking about the Part of Fortune pertaining to those whose work is physical and the Part of Spirit pertaining to those whose work is intellectual. I wonder if it has more to do with social class than the physical/mental division. This is not so much the case today, but historically, those who did physical work usually were usually in the lower classes and those who did mental work were in the higher classes. In modern times, there is much more social mobility and, at least theoretically, more widespread freedom of action. Historically, though, people in higher classes tended to have more freedom of action than those in lower classes. Anyways, that is just an idea.
