Being a big BTTF fan, I would choose Tomica any day. Wheels are accurate, the front grille is also accurate, the vent is black like the actual one, wiring in the Tomica feels more detailed, the taillights, well I personally like the Tomica more because it's more pronounced, but also don't like how they painted over the grilles it had unlike Hot Wheels. Also, while Tomica's paint might look funny, I find it more realistic mainly because the front facia and rear facia (which are plastic irl) are in different color to the body which is accurate. Overall, Tomica for me for accuracy and personally worth it, but Hot Wheels still is cheaper that's a win for me!
Tomica - back lights are bad, but glad the plastic headlights didn't have eyes 👀👀 I think the HW's colour is more accurate and much prefer their back headlights. I usually come to a point where I like most of the Tomica's design points, but then HW have that one (or two) feature that makes it cool. Great comparison vid!

If they just took that part a extra inch and do the headlights like they do on many of there cars it would be so much cooler! Always enjoy they videos my friend. Until the next one.

I don't think I can choose a clean winner. Both do good things and bad things that it makes it hard to choose. But I will say this, if they were made in the eighties by both brands, both would at least be metal/metal.
If they combined the two, it would be near perfect. I know some Hotwheels model Deloreans replicates the stainless steel finish with the Zamac, something the Tomica does not do. However there is some flaws with both versions. I know its nitpicking but the back license plate is not centered properly, this little detail Tomica gets right, where HW looks like they put no effort in it. The wheels are the same recycled wheels HW uses with most of their rubber wheels, where as Tomica at least gets the aesthetics right. The Detail is lacking in some areas when you compare it to the Back to the Future 3 models where the front hood was exquisitely detailed in later models such as the Mark 4 train wheels model with the time circuitry. Tomica goes for realism, like the suspension, even the headlights. Although the rear lights are much to be desired. Whereas HW tries to go into the detail department? Even though the details get lost in translation, HW feels uninspired. Tomica did not bother to detail the bottom of the car, but it makes up in the upper-half department just fine. In my opinion Tomica gets the back right, the small details on the gribblies are more defined. Whereas HW seems to loose some of it in the molding process. HW as the weight, while Tomica feels light and cheap with its plastic. As much as I like HW with some of their Deloreans, Tomica wins here for accuracy on the MK 1 Delorean time machine. I prefer the Hot Wheels version, though I don't have the Tomica Unlimited, I got the part 3 edition from Tomica and the Hot Wheels one just looks better. The finish does it for me. I got this matte part 1 version as well, but some older releases of it have a metallic finish which looks so much better to me. Still I prefer the Hot Wheels because of the rubber tires and the fact that you don't have Tomica in Switzerland is a big bummer otherwise I would bought that one as well 👌
