  • The basic exercises of Muay Chaiya are a great way to stay in shape and improve your balance, ankle and knee strength. They also integrate all of the important body mechanics of the style, so if practiced regularly, will make your Muay Chaiya techniques stronger, faster and more effective.
    This is a short video to you to practice along with, each exercise is only one minute, so you can get all of them done in ten minutes! (here's a quick explanation of the exercises - an oldie, but a goodie! • Ten basic exercises of... )
    If you're keen to keep fit or get into shape, I'd recommend doing this set once a day (twice if possible) - but don't forget to have rest days!
    If this isn't enough for you, there's a timer app available (for free) at LearnMuayChaiya.com (school.learnmuaychaiya.com/tr...) which is designed for doing these exercises. You can change the times of each exercise and break times (if you need it!)

    Can you gain muscle with these warm ups?

      I wouldn't use it for muscle gain, not really (obviously if you start from zero, there will be some muscle gain). But conditioning and strengthening your current muscle set yes. Also, it strengthens your ligaments, tendons and connecting tissues, especially in you ankles and knees.
