hello everyone! i hope you're having a lovely one. this is a pretty long video filled with good books, good company, and an all round good ol' time. i went to a cafe, starting journaling again, annotated a bunch, bought a new book, added a new item on my desk, and had lots of gooood food. it was a very lovely, cozy, and blessed week. i am so happy and grateful :) i hope you enjoy watching this video!

I got the same stationery organiser and my drawer didn’t fit so I filed the sides at the front of the drawer with a nail file and it’s fine now

hi!! i’m a graduate environmental engineer working a 9-5 :) i use my commute time and lunch breaks to read, and i make sure to squeeze in some more reading at night before bed! hobbies like gardening i reserve for the weekends (or when i get home from work before dinner). other things like packing orders and editing my yt video i do after work too and during the weekend! the main thing is to reduce your screen time and use the time to work on your hobbies instead! 😊

@@zainabbegum2728 0-4! 😆 it depends on my mood and book size (eg. i’m reading priory of the orange tree now, and not only is it big - it requires my full focus, so i’m not reading anything else in between)!

i’ve only read 20+ pages so far and had to force myself to stop reading because i was going to fast 😅 the writing is sharp and makes the story go even faster than it already is. i’ll be picking it back up again soon, but from what i’ve read so far, if you do not look at the book too critically it is very very enjoyable!

hi! they’re mostly my blunt thoughts on the specific phrase/paragraph that i’m marking on, or even phrases that i just love (so i highlight them and i can refer back to it whenever i want) :) thank you do do much for the support! 🥰🤍
So confused what is the point of annotating a book you are reading for pleasure? It seems like it then becomes work and a waste of page flags. However I may not fully understand why people do this to books read for pleasure, I can understand it for study books.
honestly it’s very fun! :) and it actually makes me engage with the story and relate to the characters more because annotating makes you read actively rather than passively. yes it is technically additional “work”, but when it’s fun it doesn’t feel like a chore at all! also the page flags are purely decorative - some people just dog ear, and others like the tabs for aesthetic purposes (like me 🥰). annotating also doesn’t have to exclusively be academic - it could just be a way for readers to better understand and appreciate the book that they’re reading ☺️ i hope this helps!

we annotate anything we feel like! :) it could be a whole rant on a character, a simple “lol” from a funny dialogue, or even just underlining a quote you love. it all depends on your mood and the things you write on your book can be about whatever you want! i hope this helps ☺️

i annotate anything from the smallest “lol” on a funny phrase to a whole philosophical comment on a beautiful paragraph :) i annotete whatever makes me itch to pick up a pen! 🥰 and i don’t annotate every book i read, it depends on my mood! :)
@cupsandthoughts that is sooooo interesting. I'm the complete opposite. I have to keep my books persiene. Seeing you highlight hurt ahhahaha but i understand that's the way you enjoy them and thats so cool. I couldn't even mark my textbooks. I wrote on post its
@@a.o9656 i used to keep my books pristine too!! until one fateful day a phrase in a book made me laugh so hard i had to write in it 😂 i started with pencil and gradually went with pens and highlighters - it sure does take time! thank you so much for understanding 🤍🤍 to each their own! writing on post its is definitely a great option too 🥰
