As someone who finds reading really scary, whenever I want to try and read, I watch your videos first and it makes reading seem less scary. Also, as a slow reader, I love that you take your time with books, and thereby your videos aren't intimidating on how quickly a book should be read, which some booktubers do.
I am glad i'm not the only one who enjoyed Tane's story! She had the most suspenseful one for me and I rooted for her! I also love the romance between Ead and Sabran! so much angst
everyone in the book club enjoyed her story most too!! i kinda wish we have one whole book with just her as the MC hehe >< the romance was indeed veryyy angsty!!

I love your videos, they are so cozy! I have read Priory and the prequel (A Day of Fallen Night) but I actually read the prequel first and then Priory! I loved both but I think A Day of Fallen Night was just a bit better! I liked the characters in that one and I don’t feel it slowed down as much as Priory so you might like that one more too :)
random question...how do you remember what you tabbed for your annotations later? do you read it digitally and check there to see where you highlighted for your physical?

i don’t always remember what i want to annotate, so i just annotate with a fresh pair of eyes and write down my second set of thoughts (i normally can tell straight off the bat which phrase i want to annotate). but if i go back to a dog-earred page and don’t find a phrase that i wanted to annotate in the first place, i just leave it at that and move on :)
yesss exactly!! i think there are lots and lots of details which make it really slow :’) it’s great for world building, but it just means we need to focus more and take our time with it. i hope you end up liking it!
hi there! annotation is marking up the words of a text (eg. a book, document, textbook, etc). it’s normally meant to help you actively engage with the text so you can understand it more :) it’s mostly used in an academic setting (like analysing literature novels to understand why the author uses such prose and themes in their stories. in my case, i’m doing it casually because it’s simply fun! plus it helps me read more actively and makes me enjoy the story better (because i’m able to connect to it more) 🥰 i hope this helps!
Love your video. Just personally i feel , the music can be a bit lower in volume or you could totally not put music except for intro and outro. It would be more relaxing with the natural sounds. Suits the aesthetic. Just a small review as audience. Love and Light :)

yep that’s one way! i also normally dog ear the pages of a physical book and go back to it later to annotate the specific phrases :)
The other book in the priory series is a prequel not a sequel so it's fine if you take a long break and forget some bits you won't be lost
