My husband and I had the good fortune to live in a very remote spot in Montana for almost 2 years. In the winter the female elk, with an occasional juvenile male, would be out in the field behind our cabin, grazing, looking for something in patches where there was no snow. From indoors our cat and dog watched in amazement! And so did we.
This would happen just as it began to get light out.
One morning we had a long trip to make into Missoula so we left at 4 am. As we advanced along the highway we came across a large herd, including bulls. We moved very slowly and the herd parted to make way for our truck. But first they looked inside the truck windows and my eyes met theirs. What a thrill to be so close!
Sadly, we left Montana. We had to leave for family reasons since anything less important than family would never have convinced us to leave all that stunning beauty behind.
I think heaven must be a lot like the Bitterroot valley in western Montana.

After growing up in Wyoming around elk I have to admit I have never heard them roar like their counterpart in Europe the Red deer. I love the video with the sounds of nature in the background.

Unfortunately parts of British Columbia recently experienced wildfires. It's like once in a thousand year event . And climate change plays a major role.
Sadly so, many parts of the world are experiencing the same as well. For my own effort, I am reducing consumption, recycling, no longer own a car, use bus and train and walk more. Some might bike. We can all do more 🌎💚

I like that there is no music. I wish the other videos on this channel has no music. Nothing makes me click off the video faster than thinking it gonna be a nature video and then all of a sudden hearing this loud mystical crappy music. The whole point of these is forgetting about the real world and humans, no music made by humans, just forests and mountains.
