It's fun coming to this video already knowing that the paint contains mica and aluminum in order to get a great result. Thanks Goobertown 🙂 Seriously looking forward to this paint line. I'm hoping The Army Painter boxes these up in the flexible triads for a slight discount.
At first I thought the final example looks just 'good, but nothing mind blowing', but actually seeing the flow, stability and coverage of all of the paints was really surprising. The final effect looks much better in perspective when you see it took close to no effort to accomplish. For painting TMM, these are shaping up really great, since it looks like I'll be able to just use them like standard acrylics, without extra headaches or the workflow of "silver/chrome paint, then filter into desired colors", which was always a balancing act between sheen and color saturation. tl;dr excited to get my hands on these!
I have literally watched every video on these paints available on TH-cam. Your marketing for this line has been great! One thing I wish is that there was a set of just the white lid acrylics as I'd love to grab the complete set to get every colour in the triad system without the technical/wash paints, they look good too just a big investment at once. Keep up the good work, great video!
A great time to be in the miniature/wargaming hobby! Preordered the complete set and can´t wait to combine the fanatics with the speedpaints 2.0, i might even share them with my son :D! I´ve still got a lot auf BB Teams in my pile of opportunities :D I´m excited to see how well these paints establish themselves in the hobby, i will tune in though to the requests of colour triad boxes. I think it would make the fanatics range more attractive and accessible. Nonetheless AP is certainly a go to when one is in the hobby, be it as a starter or with experience. Thanks so much!
Wow. I think true metallic paints usually look kinda tacky, but with this technique (which I didn't really know, so thanks!) and this paint, they look great.
I can't help but notice that the final finish doesn't look entirely smooth. I assume this is just the primer layer showing through a bit but confirmation would be nice if it is infact how the metallic pigments settle.(I'm surprised I haven't seen other comments on that fact) It gives great effect for slightly older less polished metal if that is the case, but I'd like to know if it was coming from the metallics themselves or an external factor.
please hurry up on those pre orders! my money is burning a hole in my pocket so hot that I'm in the market for some reactor control rods and a swimming pool to store my wallet. I *want* these paints on my shelf!
PLS Sell the Triads in individual sets of 6. The way living expense and such are going right now buying the full set is kind of out of question for me and for other surly too. And the smaller sets only seem to contain a selection of single paints, which makes your new triad system kind of pointless.
That is something that we’re currently contemplating. We appreciate the feedback, and we’ll take it into consideration. If you have any more feedback be sure to email it to feedback@thearmypainter.com
The catchphrase for Warpaints Fanatic should be "One thin coat"! The coverage is incredible!

that Cobalt Metal got me feeling some type of way for Grey Knights
Getting the complete set!
Great work Steffen!
The Weapon Brinze is one of my favourite metallic paints. I used a lot of it. 🖌
Welcome aboard Stefan. Great tutorial.
Love working with metallic paints!
I want it! I want all of the mettalics!
Wow. I think true metallic paints usually look kinda tacky, but with this technique (which I didn't really know, so thanks!) and this paint, they look great.
The mithril is looking good. Definetly going to be popular
I pre ordered the complete set. I hope my faith is not misplaced lol.
The Complete Fanatic set doesn't have Fairy Dust in it...
Is that paint being discontinued for the Fanatic line and if so what is replacing it?
Fairy Dust is going away with the old Warpaints line. At the moment there is no planned replacement for it.
I'm actively holding off on projects until these come out
damn looks really cool can't wait!
When will these be available on Amazon? (You don’t deliver to my country)
Looks great so far. Do the metallics play nice with airbrushes?
have the original 11 shades been reformulated? or just added new ones to the line?
We've just added new colours. The formula has stayed the same :)
when is the shop back up?
Soon! We'll post an update as soon as it's live again.
Kom nu drenge, vi venter spændt på fanatic! :D
Man this looks too good

The grain look is from how zoomed in our 4k cameras are on the model :)
I feel like the gold is very rough in texture
when do these the fantics all get released?
The first pre-orders go live on January 15th! :)
please hurry up on those pre orders! my money is burning a hole in my pocket so hot that I'm in the market for some reactor control rods and a swimming pool to store my wallet. I *want* these paints on my shelf!
Please do a power sword to show off the paints
I hoped you stocked up enough…..
