So I'm a concrete guy and you need to understand the what causes the problem isn't that salt is more corrosive it's the problem is that is that you have chemicals that you put on there and it produces heat on top of the concrete and that causes the concrete pop off that's what causes pitting in your concrete it's the heat that the chemicals produce
